Ladan: Wow, it's weird to be writing this again.

Eric: Well that's what you get for not writing any of this story for...how long was it???

Ladan: umm...4 months or so? At least from the time I started writing this. So at least a month after that. Sorry about that. I was unmotivated and didn't have time because of school. High school's hard, guys.

Eric: Yeah, I haven't written at all, you've at least written one shots.

Ladan: You write?

Eric: Ouch, that hurt.

Ladan: You have feelings?

Eric: I hate you.

Ladan: Yeah yeah, and you've all been waiting long enough. Here's the chapter everyone! (And good luck with this chapter)

Mari's POV

Turns out, Mama Agreste had a private jet. Odd, since I didn't expect her to be this rich while she was in hiding all these years.

I actually didn't expect many things that have happened today to happen. Like Emilie is the Peacock Miraculous holder? And how Eric and Ladan knew her?

"Wait, when did you guys meet Emilie?" I asked, seeing as we had a few hours to kill. Well, more like around 10 hours. It was a really long flight back, if all things go well. Never know if Zeus will feel like knocking us out of the sky. But, I guess it's better than taking weeks to get back.

"Huh? Did you say something?" Eric said as he took out his earbuds. Ladan leaned over to whisper something in his ear. "Oh, well, it was back home in California."

"Yeah...turns out we were bad at hero-ing or whatever, so we needed another hero. That, or Hawkmoth was getting stronger. At first, Fu dumped the sparrow miraculous into the hands of some guy. Well, he somehow got more miraculous traits then anyone bargained for and flew off into the woods. Never seen him since. He's still active as far as we know." Ladan said.

Eric continued. "...Anyways, Master Fu tried again. This time he gave it to someone more mature, one who could handle a miraculous. Emilie."

"Oh, I was wondering that too," Adrien said.

"Are you done?" Ladan asked. "I want to listen to some music." I nodded and she put earbuds in. Eric did too, but his earbuds were nowhere to be seen. Neither was his phone.

"Did you take my phone?" Eric asked. Ladan snickered before handing them back. She then went to get her phone and started reading off it, both of them ignoring everyone else.

At some point during the fight, Kaden had gotten into the seat on Eric's other side and shared the earbuds, falling asleep. Emilie was flying the jet, so I couldn't ask them any questions about their early experiences as miraculous holders. And now I was bored out of my mind sitting next to Alya, who was checking the ladyblog.

"What are we going to do when we get back to Paris?" I asked her.

"Dunno. Find Hawkmoth and fight him." She mused. "Do you think it will be hard on Adrien? To fight his dad?"

"I think it will, but it might be harder on Emilie. She's known the caring Gabriel, remember?" Alya nodded.

The two of us ended up watching Youtube videos for most of the flight.

When we landed, we figured we need to find Hawkmoth's lair. Best way to do that? Akuma attack. That way we can follow the butterfly after it's de-evilized. Thank Nino for that plan, since everyone else had too complex plans and he figured the easiest way to find his lair.

After we defeated an akuma, we stalked the butterfly all the way to the back of the Agreste mansion, right where there was a giant, butterfly themed window.

"huh, you think you'd notice something this big and obvious" Nino snorted.

"I don't think anyone ever walks behind the mansion." Adrien shrugged.

We were transformed, so it wasn't hard to get up to the level with the window. Kaden smashed a plane of the window with the handle of his weapon and we all slipped inside.

Hawkmoth was standing there, astonished. Clearly, he wasn't expecting us to be here.

"Hand over the Miraculous, Gabriel," Emilie said, standing her ground.

"Ah, look who finally resurfaced. Nice to see you again Emilie. It's been too long"

"Oh, shut it Hawkmoth. Your time is up. We're here to take what's rightfully ours." Eric said.

"Yeah, so give us the miraculous or we'll take it by force," Ladan said.

"Ah yes, I hoped we'd meet again, Leon and Delphine," Hawkmoth said. "I'm always in the mood for your comic book hero one-liners."

"OH, THAT'S IT!" Ladan snapped, about to run at him when Kaden pulled her back.

"Let her go. I've been itching for a good fight the whole plane ride." Alya said as we all at once ran at Hawkmoth and attacked.

He was deflecting our attacks from every angle with his staff. Ladan shot him with water, but it didn't affect him. I tried tying him in my yo-yo, but he smacked it away with his cane. Kaden tried to stab him from behind when he wasn't looking, but his butterflies had intercepted before he could get the chance. Alya, Eric, and Adrien tried to knock him off his feet or hit him over the head, but those didn't work, and he ducked down when Nino's shell came flying. And, as it turns out, Emilie's weapon was her fan, which shot out feathers when she flicked it. That worked the best, but dealing no actual damage, just stunning him. And since we couldn't fight him normally, I used my special power.

Lucky charm gave me a fishing rod. Hmm...I looked around. The ladybug pattern appeared on the Butterfly miraculous, Nino's shell, and Emilie. The plan that formed might be risky, but it just might work.

"Emilie, over here" I called her over and explained my plan. She nodded and went to action.

She started attacking Hawkmoth with more feathers, getting him more enraged as each one hit him. He got so angry he charged head-on at Emilie and they changed to close range fighting, Emilie blocking Hawkmoths' staff with her fan. They were moving too fast to try to cast my line at them, in case it snagged onto the peacock pin and took that off instead.

"Jade Turtle!" I called as Nino turned. "Give me a lift" He nodded as I ran at him and jumped up onto his shell as he lifted it up so I could get an aerial view of the two.

As I aimed for the miraculous, my eyes widened and caused me to miss. Gabriel has struck Emilie in the chest with the point of his cane. My line had also managed to snag onto the peacock pin and pulled it off, causing Emilie to detransform as the pin went up into the air. She slumped down to the ground soon after.

"MOM!!!" Adrien yelled and rushed to her side as I got off Nino's shell and stood there beside Nino, stunned at what we all just witnessed. Emilie didn't appear to be breathing. Adrien was kneeling beside her, stunned.

"Adrien?" Hawkmoth whispered, stepping closer to his son.

"STAY BACK! JUST. JUST GO AWAY!!" Adrien yelled, tears streaming down his face now as he grew angry at his father. "CATACLYSM!" He activated his power and went after his father, trying to claw at his father's throat.

"Now now, Adrien. We don't need to be rash. Just calm down." Gabriel said, backing into a wall and being cornered by his own son, ready to rip him limb from limb.

"Ya know, I've always wondered what would happen if you used cataclysm on a person," Alya said, coming over.

"You do know this is murder, right?" Nino said.

"I don't care. This is actually interesting to watch" Eric said, a glint in his eyes. Ladan nodded with a satisfied smirk on her face.

"Umm, guys?" Kaden said in a panic from Emilie's side. The Emilie who was not moving.

"Oh, right!" We all rushed to Emilie's side as Hawkmoth tried to protect himself. Adrien had it covered.

"She's not breathing," Kaden said. "I'm going to try to pull the staff out." He slowly did so, and there was a hole straight through her heart. Blood was already heavily staining her clothes and going everywhere.

"I don't feel a pulse guys," Ladan said with a solemn look. "She's dead."

We turned back to Adrien and Hawkmoth. Adrien had finally gotten ahold of his father's throat, his cataclysm taking effect. If I was in the mood to joke, I would've said that Gabriel did not survive Thanos's snap. But none of us were, so I kept my mouth shut. All that was left of him was his miraculous, which dropped to the ground and the kwami tumbled out of it, too in shock to speak. So, Nooroo picked up his miraculous and flew over to Dusuu, who was next to her own miraculous, crying.

Adrien rushed over to us, pushing past and kneeled beside his mother. "She's dead...isn't she?"

I gave everyone a look to give him some space as I walked over and sat next to him, holding him tightly. "I'm sorry. There's nothing we can do. You can't bring someone back from the dead."

"I-I know." He said, his voice hoarse whisper. He turned into me, crying into my chest even through our detransformation as I rubbing his back, hoping that would comfort him. Eventually, his breathing went back to normal as well as his heart rate. "I just-I can't believe that she's been alive all this time and once I finally see her again, sh-sh-sheeeeee..." He broke down into sobs.

"It's okay Adrien, just let it all out," I said, letting a few tears fall down my own face.

The two of us stayed there all night long. Eventually, the others started to feel sleepy and went to find the guest rooms and I think one of them went to discuss what happened with Nathalie. Adrien and I just cried there for a while. Then we talked, comforting each other as we tried to soak today in. We fell asleep on each other for about an hour, before the sun started to rise again and the light woke us up.

We did a burial service in the backyard, just under the butterfly window in the garden. There was a blanket over Emilie as Adrien put her softly into a coffin before Ladan and Eric lowered her into the ground and buried her.

We all were sad today. We definitely didn't feel like going back to camp like this. We all pretty much stayed in one bedroom, all depressed and shit.

"I'm sorry about what happened Adrien," I said. "If I wasn't distracted by the strike, Emilie wouldn't have detransformed and the miraculous' magic could've saved-"

"It's okay. I know it's not your fault she died." Adrien said, sitting on the end of the bed with his face in his hands. "It's not anyone's fault."

"Only Gabriel's," Alya said, making Adrien look up and crack a smile.

"Hehe, yeah. It is his fault for stabbing his wife in the heart." Adrien said with a weak laugh.

"But, it's not entirely his fault you know. Remember what your mom said? The miraculous overtakes mortals and turns them to the dark side." Ladan said.

"So now it's the inanimate object's fault?" Adrien chuckled. "Cause that makes perfect sense." Now he couldn't stop smiling. "Thanks for cheering me up, guys"

"No problem," Ladan said.

"Of course," Alya said at the same time.

"No, you don't realize what it means to me that you're here to support me through all this. You could've gone home or done something else, but no. You're here comforting me when no one asked you to. I love you guys soo much and I don't think you could comprehend how much you guys mean to me." Adrien confessed.

"Oh, Adrien" I sighed, giving him a big hug and kissing his cheek lightly. "You're our friend, of course, we would have stayed, even if you had pushed us away, we would still stay by you. We love you Adrien" Everyone started to get up and it turned into a big hug around Adrien.

When we parted, Adrien took a few deep breaths to collect his thoughts.

"Okay. I think I'm ready to go back to camp now. It's time to officially finish this quest!" Adrien said with this look of determination that I wasn't prepared for.

Ladan laughed. "Alrighty then. I guess I'll find a way for us to cross the ocean, since we shouldn't want to push our luck on the plane again. Zeus might not be soo friendly a second time around."
