In a night everything changed for Jungkook. His life was a lie crafted by his father and then his love, Taehyung. His friends Jimin and Hoseok were liars too. The guy who he thought of as an elder brother was only by his side so that when the time comes, he could take revenge for his father's death. Jungkook had no one to turn to. It all felt like he would feel in London- ALONE AND ORPHAN.

The letter in his hands were the only thing helping him breathe. It still had a little presence of his mother. He folded the letter carefully and went back to his room to find the pendrive that Taehyung had left. After spending the whole night looking at what his father and the other corrupt ministers had done, Jungkook was conflicted but something was sure in his mind- he needed to take his own revenge now.

The next morning, he went to his father and told him how Taehyung had broken his heart and how he wanted to go back to London. His father who fell into his trap as planned, tried to use this opportunity and made Kook believe that these commoners were nothing but liars and traitors and that they shouldn't be trusted. Acting to be moved by his father's speech, Jungkook got up and walked towards the window overlooking the capital-

"You are right Appa. These fuckers don't deserve my love and sincerity. I don't give a fuck about them. Let them die."

Jaeseuk had a contended smile on his face as he heard his son. Even if Taehyung was gone, Kook was doing just as he wanted him to do.

"What do you want to do now baby?"

"I am taking the oath this weekend, right?" he turned towards Jaeseuk.

"Yes!"

"Make that tomorrow. I will be taking the oath tomorrow."

Jungkook walked further till he was looking into his father's eyes. For the first time Jaeseuk was a little scared of his son but stayed put nonetheless and stared into his son's dark eyes.

"Make sure Park and Jung have their son's ready by tomorrow. We will be taking the oaths together."

Jungkook was already by the door after he said that, but his father's confusion stopped him-

"Why them son?"

"Some people here need to know their places which is, in hell. I need them to implement the laws to do the same."

Jaeseuk looked at his son fondly and walked ahead to give him a warm hug but all Jungkook felt was chills running down his spine as his father touched him.

"Jungkook, I am proud of you son."

Jaeseuk was sure that Jungkook would be harsher than him if not less. Korea was theirs and his son will have it at his disposal however it likes it to be.

"Thanks, Appa."

--------------

The night before

Yoongi wasn't expecting anyone at ass o'clock in the night but the constant knocks on the door weren't helping him sleep. Annoyed and confused he opened the door, holding a knife behind his back but when he saw the person, the knife slipped from his hands. Out there stood Taehyung. The boy was in such a bad shape and he was crying as he leaned by the door frame for support.

"Tae..." Yoongi couldn't even complete his sentence as Tae fell forward.

"Hyung...hyung it hurts." Tae clutched the elder's t-shirt tightly and resumed to cry hysterically.

"Come in. What happened?" Yoongi rubbed his back continuously to calm him down.

"Hyung please...please take care of Kookie."

"Wha-why? What have you done Tae?"

"I broke his heart, his trust....... his everything hyung. He was crying so badly. I-I can't breathe hyung. He was crying for me. He said he loved me. Hyung it hurts." The crying got so bad that Tae couldn't breathe.

"Tae please you are scaring me."

"I can't be here. I must leave but promise me hyung, you all will take care of him." Tae held his hand forward for Yoongi to accept.

"I still don't understand-" Yoongi took his hand hesitantly.

"Just take care of Kookie. I tried my best to do the right thing, but I ended up hurting him instead. He is broken hyung, but you all have to keep him together."

"What are you saying Taehyung? Are you not going to help him too?"

"I will help him but for that I need to go away. I don't know where or till when I will be away but don't try to find me."

"TAE HAVE YOU LOST IT?! You can't just come and cry and make me promise stuff and vanish in thin air."

"Hyung please just do this much for me."

Taehyung tried to stand up and after stumbling for a few steps he opened the door and left and left behind a shocked Yoongi who wouldn't get to see him for quite some time now. The whole time the only thing that kept crossing Yoongi's mind was that they all were trying to destroy Jeon but they actually ended up destroying their brother and an innocent boy's life instead.

----------

When Jimin and Hoseok were told that they were to take the oaths tomorrow, they were shocked beyond belief. Just the night before, Yoongi had told him about his entire encounter with Taehyung and they weren't expecting Jungkook to take such a step after the allegedly bad break up. They were expecting him to go back to London or something but not this. But no matter what would happen ahead, they decided that they would not participate tomorrow. Even after thousands of pleadings from their parents, they stayed behind closed doors and refused to come out. Having no other option, Park ended up calling Jaeseuk.

"Where are you going Appa?" Jungkook asked as his father stopped with his breakfast and kept staring at his phone.

"Jimin and Hoseok aren't listening so Park called me to talk to them."

"We need them to take the oaths tomorrow." Jungkook huffed.

"I know Kook. I will try talking to them. Although we can have them take their oaths in the next financial year too."

"Did you not hear my Appa? I need them to take up their respective posts tomorrow with ME!" Jungkook slammed his open palms on the dining table.

Jaeseuk flinched at this but he couldn't understand what was wrong with Kook. Maybe he was still upset about Taehyung, so Jaeseuk calmed him down and promised that he would convince Jimin and Hoseok surely. Jaeseuk was about to leave soon and had just sat in his car when Jungkook suddenly opened the door and sat beside him.

"Jungkook?"

"They are my friends. They will listen to me."

"You sure?"

"I know how to make them say yes." Jungkook looked into the distance smirking a little.

Seeing the evil and dominant side of his son was a delight for Jaeseuk. The look Jeon once had when he was building his empire was something Jungkook was mirroring at the very moment. There was no doubt in his mind now that his son was going to follow his footsteps and rule over Korea as he is supposed to do.

Once there were at the Park's house, Jimin and Hoseok's parents greeted Jaeseuk and led him to Jimin's room. Jungkook also followed them to the Jimin's room and stopped there while Jeon went forward and knocked on the door.

"Who is there?" came a voice from inside.

"Jeon Jaeseuk, son. Please open the door."

Jimin turned to look at his boyfriend who in turn shook his head telling him not to open the door.

"Whoever it is, we aren't coming out. Please leave." Jimin replied.

"Listen Jimin and Hoseok! Don't run away from this. This is your future-"

"We don't want to continue your inhuman legacy. We will not come out." Hoseok cut him in between.

"Move Appa."

"Jungkook-"

"Let me try."

Knock knock!

"We said we are not coming out!" Jimin shouted back.

"Open the door Park Jimin."

"Kookie?" Jimin opened the door in an instant but before he could say anything, Kook turned towards the elders.

"You all can leave. I will talk to them."

Once Jungkook was sure that all of them were gone, he allowed himself into the room which made Jimin stumble a few steps back. Kook immediately locked the door and turned to his so-called friends.

"Jungkook don't do this.." Jimin begged.

"You both are going to accept it." Jungkook said sternly.

"NO! Jungkook you don't know-" Jimin said again.

"I know everything Jimin and Hoseok." Jungkook said in such a cold and emotionless tone that the boys were left speechless. However, Kook continued.

"Some friend you both are-"

"Jungkook we are-" Hoseok came close to Jungkook and held his hand in order to convince him but the latter pulled his hand away.

"Sh sh shh... I am not here for your crap. I am here to tell you that I know everything and also that Yoongi and Jin were also involved with all of you in your plan to kill me. But just imagine what will happen if I go to the police with this? Or worst I become the minister and have him hanged for-"

"Shut up Jeon!" Jimin said not believing what he just heard.

"You both will be there on time if you like your boyfriend breathing."

Jungkook walked towards the door and just when he was about to open it-

"You are worse than your father!" Hoseok said.

"You don't know me...hyung.... you don't know me at all."

Jungkook left the room but he was successful in hiding his slightly glassy eyes from everyone

-------

The next morning the parliament building was decorated like a bride ready to be married. Outside the place, thousands stood to witness the christening of the new officials and even though it was the worst that was going to happen, the kept cheering and shouting in happiness as they were ordered to. Jungkook was seeing all this from his father's office and turned around to rehearse his speech one last time. While he was rehearsing, Jaeseuk came into the room.

"Jimin and Hoseok are still not ready Kook."

"I know."

"You are awfully calm. Do you not need them to take the oath with you?"

Jungkook looked up at his father and asked him to call the two. Jaeseuk was utterly confused and stood still so Jungkook stood up, straightened his shirt.

"They will be here Appa. They thought I was joking but they are so wrong-"

"What did you do?"

Last night (the night after Taehyung had left)

After coming back from the Park's place, the father and the son went to their rooms but Jungkook just waited for his father to sleep. He then decided to face the person he dreaded all this time, but he needed to do this. He needed to see Taehyung. But when he reached their shabby abode, he only found a heartbroken Yoongi weeping with his face hid in his palms. Any questions pertaining to Tae flew out of Jungkook's mind.

"Hyung?"

"Jungkook! Kook-ah...Kook!" Yoongi hugged him tightly.

"Hyung what happened?"

"Taehyung...he-he left. He left us."

"How? What I don't-"

"He came to me last night and cried for hours and this morning just left. I am so scared for him. He was lifeless Kook."

Jungkook kept patting and rubbing the other's back the entire time as Yoongi cried his heart out. So, Taehyung had gone away from everything and everyone. Jungkook wanted to shout and scream and run away but now wasn't the time. He had a plan in mind, and he needed to fulfil it.

Present time

"Appa can you send for those two? I actually have a proposition for them."

"Jungkook you still haven't told me what you did. Please just-"

"I have something very close to them. Now you know enough."

"You won't tell me everything, will you?"

"Someone told me that plans must only be discussed with the people it involves."

The moment Jaeseuk heard his own saying from his son's mouth, he knew asking the other was of no use and he actually left the room to get Jimin and Hoseok to the said place. At first, they both resisted but since they didn't trust either of the Jeons, they went to meet Jungkook.

...

"What do you want now Jeon?" Hoseok shouted as he entered the office.

Seeing Jungkook sitting calmly on the chair with a smug look on his face infuriated him so much that he went ahead and banged his palms on the desk shaking the glass of water in result.

"Hyungs! You came." Jungkook smiled at them.

"Shut it Jungkook. We were clear about-" Jimin began but was interrupted.

"Have any of you talked to Yoongi recently?"

Both Hoseok and Jimin looked at each other.

"What do you mean?"

"I wonder what the police must be doing with him now?"

"You didn't...!" Hoseok gritted his teeth and glared at him.

"Maybe....or maybe not."

"Yoongi had nothing to do with it. Leave him."

"Take the oath Park and Jung. You take the oath today and Yoongi walks free- safe and unhurt. But if-"

"Fine. We will take the oaths." Jimin accepted it while Hoseok couldn't believe him.

Jimin tried his best to calm his boyfriend and make him understand that they were fighting a lost battle.

And that is how they found themselves standing behind Jungkook as he took his oath after them and some other newly elected officials, ready to give his speech next.

__

The oath taking venue

"I know that my people are excited for my oath but before that I would like my ministers to administer their oaths in front of the President. I know that I am going against a very important rule but my ministers are the representatives of my people and my people come first for me so if I have your permission honourable president, can my minister go first?" Jungkook asked Mr. Min.

There was a lot of whispering after what Jungkook has asked but the moment the people heard his explanation they started shouting and praising for him again. The president looked at Jaesuek who just nodded in response. The president then turned to Kook and gave him his approval.

One by one the new ministers took their oaths. Jimin and Hoseok were the last ones to take their oaths but they did it only for Yoongi. Finally, Jungkook took his oath and came up to the podium to talk the people. He smiled when he saw them cheer for him even though he knew that his father was responsible for their hardships and sorrows. He took a final breath and started-

"I am really grateful to all of you who came to support me today. I know that you all are hoping that I will take this country to newer heights of success... something that my predecessors...especially my father was not able to do."

The cheering turned to pin drop silence. Jungkook took a deep breath again and looked at the police officer and nodded to him. The police took the signal and began with carrying out their order and started arresting the old ministers.

"Jungkook was it this?" Mr. Jung shouted.

"We are the union ministers!" Park followed him.

Jungkook turned around and smirked at them "Not anymore sir."

He turned to continue what he was saying.

"When I agreed to become the prime minister, I just wanted two things- get corruption out of my motherland and make it a place where my brothers and sisters don't have to fight each other to survive the next day. It is a difficult job but with you people, my big family out here, I know I can achieve it slowly and steadily. So, are you with me?"

No one dared to say a thing. Jungkook gulped again. He could hear the snickering of those old bastard ministers behind him, but he didn't look back. Instead he looked at the crowd hopefully.

"What the fuck do you want?! This guy is trying to set things right and you still are standing dumb like cowards. God! He got his own father arrested for you all." Jungkook recognised the person shouting this. He immediately remembered that he was the same man who had attacked him the first time. But before he could do something someone else shouted.

"He is not loyal to his father how can he be loyal to us?" an old man shouted.

The man that was shouting before came up to him and stood in front of him- face to face, eyes looking straight into that of the older one's.

"That young guy you see standing on the stage has had no mother and only a father in his family, yet he stands here in front of us and is ready to accept us and uplift us. Do you want better things or stick to living the same worm life you have been living?" The man looked at the gathering once and then turned to Jungkook with a smile- "I don't know about them, but I want my country to grow. I want my new prime minister to guide us to our goal."

Slowly some other youngsters also came ahead followed by many middle-aged people, women, children and lastly the older men. Jungkook had small tears in his eyes because people had actually accepted him. They were listening to him, supporting him. Wiping his away the tears, he continued-

"As I said, I will get this country rid of corruption, officers please take these men away. The evidence has already been submitted."

As the ministers were being taken away, Jimin and Hoseok stood their shocked but once they understood the situation, they reached Jungkook.

"Jungkook-" they both said in unison.

"Yoongi is at my place. Go get him." Jungkook said immediately.

"But Jungkook we-..."

"I might have made you take the oath, but you can withdraw now. You don't have to this." Jungkook walked ahead but Jimin held his hand, stopping him.

"Jungkook we are sorry." Jimin continued.

"Please don't come close to me. I don't want you all to be a part of my future. I don't want to talk to you unless it is about work. We will only be working together...that too if you agree to carry on. Otherwise you can do whatever you want but please stay away from me."

Kook didn't wait for them to say anything. It was clear that Jimin and Hoseok had no words for him anyway. He walked down the stairs to meet his father who was being taken towards the police car.

"Jungkook this madness! You believe that Taehyung and not your father-" Jaeseuk tried to break free from the policemen's hold.

"How do you know if it was Taehyung?" Jungkook asked him. He kept staring at his father to see him falter.

"I-...Jungkook listen... These people don't deserve your love and affection. I did nothing wrong. I just wanted you to have a better life"

"And you did just that by breaking my trust, sending me away and taking away my mom from me."

As soon he spoke those last words, Jaeseuk's expression changed to a little horrified one.

"Yes Appa, I read Maa's letter." He wiped the small tear that slid down his cheek.

He waited for some reply...anything but his father stayed quiet. Having his suspicion of his father knowing about the letter, turned out to be true after all, so he moved away to let the police to take his father away.

_____

As much as Jimin and Hoseok wanted to talk to Jungkook, they first went to free their boyfriend but when they reached the place and explained everything to Yoongi, he didn't say a word and got up and started walking towards the car and sat in it. The other two followed him as well.

"Yoongi?" Hoseok asked.

"Take me to Kook. I have to talk to him." Yoongi replied.

"Yoongi he doesn't want to talk us." Jimin joined in as he took a seat and started to put on his belt.

"Maybe not you but he has to listen to me. Hoseok let's go." Yoongi said firmly.

Upon reaching the office, the new bodyguards stopped the three from entering the prime minister's office. The men tried their best to enter but the entire commotion led to loud aggressive threat making session drawing Jungkook out of his office.

Seeing their boss, the bodyguards stopped and stepped back bringing in his view Yoongi and his two ministers.

"Hyung what are you doing here?" he addressed only Yoongi.

"Kook I need to talk to you."

"Please go back."

Jungkook turned around and was almost about to close his door but Yoongi stopped him again.

"Please...."

They had a little stare off and the desperation in the elder's eyes was evident, so taking a deep breath Kook finally allowed him inside but the other two still didn't get any chance to converse with the younger one.

"What do you want hyung? You have your chance. Go to them and live happily." Jungkook walked back to his desk.

"Jungkook-" Yoongi followed him hurriedly.

"Help them to do their work. Maybe even reach out to Taehyung. Or you can find a new job." he continued with his rant to be able to ignore the other.

"Jungkook-" Yoongi called him out again.

"You shouldn't be with me anyway. Don't you see. They hate me hyung." Jungkook turned to him with small tears in his eyes.

"JUNGKOOK! Stop please..." Yoongi had no other way but to pull in the younger one into a bone crushing hug.

"They hate me hyung. They do. They do. They do..." Kook kept on chanting like a mantra.

"No one hates you. No one at all baby."

"Taehyung hates me-..."

"Jungkook no! I can be wrong about anything, but I bet on my life that Taehyung loves you more than he can possibly love himself."

"Then why hasn't he come to me? Why hyung? Why!?" Jungkook shouted in bis hold.

"Please calm down baby. I don't know where he is or what he is up to, but he made me promise that I must take care of you till he returns and I will do just that. Now if he hated you, would he make me promise that?"

Jungkook continued to cry in hold for a while longer and when he calmed down, he pulled himself away from Yoongi and wiped away any remaining liquid from his face.

"I can't do this right now hyung."

"I am not asking you to do anything. You don't have to forgive any of us. You have the right to do as you please but let us be around you. If anything happens to you, I will never be able to forgive myself. Do anything bun but don't push me away. I have already lost my brother now I can't lose the only person that matters to him too." Yoongi begged and hugged him again.

Jungkook nodded his head into Yoongi's chest as the elder asked him for his permission. It was true that he was very weak and broken and had it not been because of Yoongi, who knows if he would see tomorrow's sun again. They held the position for some seconds but when Yoongi looked into Jungkook's eyes, they were dead and dark again.

"Hyung?"

"Yes?"

"Can you be my personal advisor and assistant?"

"Of course, bun."

"Then can you call Kim Namjoon and tell him that I am transferring him to be the Head of External Affairs for the moment."

"Yes, I can do that."

"And also tell him that his office will be in Gwangju, not Seoul."

"Jungk-"

"I also want you to deal with Jimin and Hoseok. I don't want to see them either."

"Jungkook don't do this."

"Hyung do you want to be with me or not?"

"Okay. But just tell me why you are transferring Joon anyway?"

"Cause, I can't transfer Park and Jung."

"Why?"

"You know why hyung." Jungkook grinned at him. As Yoongi understood it, he said-

"Me. You can't send them because of me."

"You don't deserve to be separated from your loved ones."

"But you are separating Jin and Joon!.... Unless you want him gone too."

"I like that my assistant is quick and smart. Now I want you to go and call for a cabinet meeting hyung. I have to set some things straight."

____

As everyone gathered for the meeting, Yoongi took his time to print out the official letter of transfer for Namjoon. He also found out that the government buildings were being merged for the moment and that he would have quite a few chances to meet his boyfriends but that wasn't really important at the moment. With some other papers to ready, he finally entered the hall where the supposed meeting was to be held.

The ministers were already in their chairs and Jungkook seemed to have a seat to his right empty for Yoongi to take. As soon as he was seated, Jungkook started-

"There is a lot of things which need to be done but I just want one thing to be clear- the medicines which we allegedly buy from the States and resale to other countries has to stop. I know it is a big deal cause if we go back, we will have to pay the states a huge amount which we don't have at the moment.

"Sir, sorry to interrupt, but I had taken the liberty to evaluate to amount of assets held by the previous ministers and we will be able to pay and do away with the deal."

"That way we would have nothing for development." Namjoon interjected and everyone including Jungkook nodded at that.

"What about our imports and exports, Mr. Park? Also with the change in our attitudes, North Korea has become a little hostile. I hope the borders are safe?" Jungkook asked the respective ministers but they had no answers.

"I see you don't know. Well I really hope that you will be good at this just the way you are good in planning other schemes." Jungkook didn't miss his chance to mock them.

Everyone in the room looked at the two. Even if they were seated, Namjoon knew that the two felt cornered so he tried diverting from the topic.

"Mr. Jeon, if we cut down on security it would also help cut the costs."

"I thought so too. So, what are the responses from the different ambassadors regarding the current scenario?" Jungkook asked him.

Namjoon had no clue what the prime minister was asking and his face gave away his confusion clearly.

"You didn't receive the letter?"

"No sir, I didn't get any letter."

Hearing that Jungkook turned to Yoongi, who informed that he had just printed it out and was going to hand it over but the meeting had already started.

"Well you will have the letter." Jungkook then looked towards the others and continued. "Ministers I would like you all to meet your new external affairs minister, Kim Namjoon. But sadly, his office is little away from us in Gwangju. Anyway, if you all have any other plans or ideas please present it to me now or you can take some time and we can meet again at the end of the week."

"Sir that would be better." Almost everyone said in unison.

"Well then. Mr. Ahn, I want the evaluations of all the assets that you have done and also have you summarise the budget allocations of the last 5 years for me. Mr. Min you make calls to my classmates Jackson and Yugeom. Mr. Jung have the borders monitored and inform Mr. Kim of any external disturbances and handover the property papers of all the schools held by your family to our education minister, Mr. Ho. Mr. Park meet me in my cabin. I guess that's all for now."

Once the room was empty, Yoongi went to namjoon beside whom Jimin and Hoseok were also standing.

"He wants us away, doesn't he?" Namjoon asked as Yoongi handed him the letter.

"I am sorry Namjoon but I can't do anything."

"I am sad that he is doing this to himself, but I know he needs his space. If being away will make him happy, I guess I will do that."

"Namjoon don't forget you have us." Hoseok said.

"I know. But someone needs to remember that he has us too."

___

The first month was difficult for everyone. Namjoon was away, Jin decided to stay back but he didn't fail to deliver lunch for the ministers and their staff, Jimin was burdened with coming up with ways to make new trade partners for the older ones couldn't be relied upon and he also had make policies to encourage production and export of domestic goods. Hoseok had nightmares for he knew how bad things were and he was scared because if he failed, his country would not survive the war. The worst was kept for Yoongi. He had to deal with literally all the problems for he didn't want to burden Jungkook any more. But as the months passed, things were starting to take shape. The idea of turning the minister's mansion into luxury hotels was complete, the schools were able to produce their first batch of skilled workers, the private hospitals were turned public and affordable, tourist had increased owing to reduced visa prices, the public began their own small restaurants and production houses, the places of attraction and new beaches were developed for sightseeing, the country began exporting sea food and so much more that it can't be written down. But no matter what, the distance between the current capacity and Jungkook's goal was still huge.

With time he was able to think less about Taehyung, but his nights were always filled with the memories of the times they had spent together. He would occasionally ask Yoongi about him, but no one had any answers. Jungkook's coldness towards Namjoon had decreased over the time but he still maintained a safe distance from Jimin, Hoseok and Jin, who was now responsible for overlooking the management of the hotels across the country. The three also understood this and approached him only if the matters were of urgency. And one such matter was already knocking at their doors.

Nine months had passed and the amount needed end the deal was almost collected. The cabinet knew that in another four months, the deal will be called off but the drug was still being supplied in the market. The neighbouring countries were also asking for it and America had reduced their help considerably because their product was not being sold further. Seeing no other option Jimin had to ask Jungkook to hold an emergency meeting in the middle of the night with everyone in their small apartment in Gangnam.

At Jimin and Hoseok's apartment

"I have been monitoring our exports, Jungkook, and it always has some items missing which miraculously reappear during the next shipment. Not to mention that these exports are to those countries who have been pressuring us to supply them the drugs. Their demands have also decreased. Doesn't it seem like they are getting what they want after all?" Jimin started.

"Right. Even the policies that I was making, many ambassadors explicitly said that they want our drug supply to continue to keep good relations. We sell it cheaper than others in the market. Not to mention that we still need help from Europe and America to develop our navy and technology sector." Namjoon continued.

"What are you implying then?" Jungkook asked.

"I suggest we actually sell off the last batch of drugs and then not renew our contract." Hoseok suggested.

"No hyung! Those pills are deadly! I will not let others have it."

"But our people dying because of it." this time was Mr. Dong, the health minister.

"What?" Jungkook's attention shifted to him.

"In the last 6 months, we had over 40 cases of drug overdose. Who knows how many who are out there are still consuming it...?" he said.

"It is affecting our children as well. We had help in teaching from outside but with not much help now, we are not able to teach properly. The children are not coming to school much. When I got to know this, I investigated because our schools are the source of food for them. But what I got to know was even worse! They are using children to transfer these medicines because no one checks upon them. Transferring these things is what is helping the families feed themselves for now." the education minister said.

"Selling it will destroy other children's life too!" Jungkook stood up.

"Jungkook we can't think about the world now. Our country is more important! If we sell these, not only will we have peace but also enough money to support ourselves. We really need funds and men for strengthening our defence." Hoseok spoke again.

"Also having the money will at least help us to develop new things and have an upper hand on the countries who are worse than us." Namjoon joined in followed by Jimin.

"The black market is thriving cause of this. If we sell the drugs not only will their work stop, we might even be able to eliminate things that can be smuggled."

"Just wait you all...! I need to think."

"We don't have much time Jungkook." Yoongi brushed the hair away from Kook's face.

"Selling it would mean that I am doing the same thing as my father...that is destroying innocent lives."

"No Kook! You are not destroying lives. You are just saving your citizens but its true that we can care only about ourselves now. Once we stop being the suppliers, no country will turn to us for those medicines. Look at the greater good...your dream will come true." All of them gave him assurance.

Jungkook sank back into the sofa with his head in his hands. It was a tough decision to make. He couldn't just let people have poison, even if they were not his people. He conscience wouldn't let him do this but there was no other way, was there? If his men believed that this was the only way, then he too, had to trust them in this...even if he has to live with the guilt for a lifetime, he will take his chances.

"Fine. If that is what you all want then let's do this. But Yoongi hyung keep me updated about everything and get Ahn to calculate our earnings. The day we are able to pay off for the deal is the day I pull the plug on this matter once and for all. Till then do what you feel is correct and needed. Just this once I will allow illegal working but keep me posted."

They others nodded and soon the place was left with only the four of them.

"I think I will stay and make the plans with Jimin and Hobi. Jungkook and Yoongi, you should go home." Namjoon was the first to speak.

"Oh no way! I will stay and help. Afterall I am the advisor who should know everything."

"Hyung even I will stay." Jungkook yawned cutely.

"Oh no you won't. You already have a lot of work tomorrow and today was tiring as it is....so go home now." Yoongi replied.

"But hyung-"

"Go home Kook-ah. Now!"

"..Okay."

As planned, the drug was brought under strict control of the government officials. The underground gangs started revolting on small basis here and there but all was under control. Namjoon was even able to get a contract stating that his country was ready to supply drugs till the producers helped them with the necessary things. Borders were calmer and Hoseok used this opportunity to get more arms and have a bill of having every man in the land of the ages 28 to 30 serve mandatory service passed to increase their defences. Exports were bringing in enough revenues to develop more houses, hospitals and schools. In about two months, Yoongi gave Jungkook the confirmation that he can end the deal.

Delighted by the very thought Jungkook didn't waste a second and had the information passed that by the end of the week he will pass the judgment about it. In the next five days the houses were to meet and vote upon the fate to drug policy and everyone knew what the result would be. The people had already started small celebration across the country. Those who didn't like it could not do much as they were under bond and oaths to help Korea anyway.

Night before the voting

The office was almost empty. Jungkook was ready to leave when his phone rang but before he could answer it, Yoongi had already picked the call through his phone.

"Hello, the prime minister's office."

"..."

"Hello?"

"..."

"Sir, hello?"

"Hyung..."

The moment Yoongi heard the voice he detached the receiver from his ear and gasped. After some seconds he pressed the receiver to his ear again.

"Tae?"

"Hyung...listen to me. Stop Jungkook from calling off the deal. His life is in danger. Please ask him-"

"If you care so much then tell him yourself- face to face. No letters no calls no messages. Come here and tell him."

"You know about those?"

"I handle his everything. I don't know what was in those letters nor will he know because I passed them through the shredder. Now only you know what they said."

"Hyung you know I can't meet him yet."

"Then let us be."

"HYUNG! Please..."

"Do you even know how he is without you?"

"You think I am doing fine here?"

"I don't know. You have three days. If you ever loved him then you will come here and tell him your side of the story."

"Hyung-..."

But Yoongi didn't wait for him and kept the receiver down with force.

"Woah hyung! All okay?" Jungkook asked as he left his office.

"Yeah. Let's go home."

"Okay."

As he left the office, Yoongi looked at the phone one last time hoping that the next time he hears from his brother, it will actually be from his mouth without a medium separating them.
