August 31st, 2024.

Paris Nord Station, Paris.

Kousei and Kaori loved travelling by train. In fact, in France prior to their concert, they had bought EURail Pass, a pan-European rail pass that allows them to travel to multiple European destination without a need for separate booking for each country, just like in their own country with the Japan Rail Pass.

"It's us!" Their train, Thalys 9401, destination Koln Hauptbahnhof (railway station in German) has arrived. And to reach Berlin, they will change train for ICE (Intercity-Express) operated by the German national railways, Deutsche Bahn.

The TGV-based train departed on-time and as it passed Brussels, it's time for lunch. Two bodyguards accompanied the young couple.

"This is one of the reason why I prefer to take a train" Kaori said to her husband while enjoying the mixture of French and German lunch, at almost 300 km/h.

In the meantime, during the entire trip Kousei has his eyes either glued on the scenery of the French and Belgian plains or his tablet. Nature is one of the largest source of inspiration for musicians like him and Kaori, so their composer minds are in most occasions focused on making new pieces anytime, anywhere, and any situation.

One hour later they reached Koln and immediately changed train.

It takes four hours more for the ICE to reach Berlin.

After they arrived on station, the local organizer, along with their pre-positioned bodyguards escorted them to their hotel. Westin Grand Berlin, not far from their venue; Berlin State Opera.

That night before their first rehearsal..

"Face there, okay? Just for some time."

"What's the matter, Kaori?"

Moments later, his question solved, in the matter that found himself gasped.

"Uhm.." Kousei felt his certain part of him excited as he saw his Kaori wears a very lacy pink lingerie, before crashing into the bed, holding him tight.

"You have the final decision to do this or not, but it's alright if I take a lead once in a while?" Asked Kaori, seductively.

"My, maybe our first time had awakened a reactor in her heart so she become like this.." said Kousei to himself before replied to her. "As you know, we are ready to do this anytime. Being a father in the age of 25? No problem. So let's make this symphony of life-making, Kaori love.."

Two days later.

Berlin. A city which once divided between free West and Communist East.

First visit on the day is the Brandenburg Gate, then before continuing to the nearby Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. In London, they were unable to find a good time for visiting its counterpart there, so they make it up by visiting the German one. In fact they weren't visited the Madame Tussaud's in Tokyo, yet.

While admiring the collections of wax statues displayed there, like the Imperial German era chancellor Otto von Bismarck, first post-war chancellor of then-West Germany Konrad Adenauer, and even, to the chagrin of some, Angela Merkel; inventors such as Rudolf Diesel, Karl Benz, Gottlieb Daimler, Hans Geiger, Otto Lilienthal, and Wernher Von Braun, and last but not least, artists and other entertainment figures like classical Ludwig van Beethoven, Robert Schumann, Johann S. Bach, George F. Handel, and modern, both German and others such as model Heidi Klum, actor Moritz Bleibtreu, British singer-songwriter Liam Payne, British actor Robert Pattinson, American actor George Clooney, Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, and Angelina Jolie; Doi, Kaori's manager, whispered to them.

"In Tokyo those people are considering to make your wax statues."

"Interesting" Kaori replied, meanwhile Kousei just nodded before he added his wife's statement

"I don't mind"

Dinner time soon come.

This time, Kousei and Kaori decided to give time for the local German entertainment journalists surrounding them as they are done their dinner in one of the city's prominent restaurant, Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer.

"When is your next rehearsal?"

"Tomorrow, at 9" Kousei answered one German reporter.

"Is that true that you are having children soon?" Another asked.

"We are still doing what we can" Kaori answered.

"Have you considered moving to Europe?"

"Our homeland still need us. So that answer is no. And you will always be welcomed if you visit us in Japan." Kousei said again.

September 5th, 2024.

"And now, ladies and gentlemen, Miyarima!"

The show is on, German and European broadcasters had prepared all it needs specially for this World Tour.

For the first piece, they performed the Beethoven's Symphony no. 9, which its final movement contained the famous "Ode to Joy" accompanied by the Berlin orchestra "Berlin Staatskapel". The particular song is known as the hymn of the European Union. Meanwhile in Japan, a Buddhist organization named Soka Gakkai, which have a political wing called Komeito Party, also used it as a hymn for their meetings despite its Christian heritage.

Religion aside, this music is known as one of protest songs, and was used during the Tiananmen protests in 1989, anti-Pinochet demonstrations in 1980s Chile, and after the Fall of the Berlin Wall. The Japanese also often performed it impromptu and called it Daiku (Number 9), which usage gained widespread popularity after the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami and often performed in December.

All in all, the complexity of Beethoven banged many. Their blade had struck true to the audience's heart. The music lived on to its title, which emphasized joy.

As thunderous applause rocked the hall, they soon prepared their second deployment.

Handel's Violin and Piano sonata HWV 361, in A major.

In this show, Kousei and Kaori deliberately and exclusively played German composers, for sake of the audience.

Third performance, still with the Berlin orchestra, is the famous Richard Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries, most known for its usage in a Vietnam War themed movie, Apocalypse Now.

To say, the inclusion of Piano in the piece enriched and added the majestic flavor of it, and the resulting applause, louder than the first and second solidify Kousei and Kaori's bond in the eyes of the Germans.

Fourth, a concerto. Haydn's Violin's Concerto no. 4. They were accompanied by a detached string section from the Berlin Staatskapel.

On stage, their exuberance seems limitless. Kousei's cool elegance matched with Kaori's fiery passion served like a nuclear reactor in American Nimitz-class supercarriers, as a propulsion for their accompanists to give their best shot.

"Majestic!"

"I love you!"

"What an original and new playstyle from our friends in the East. The Chinese are excellent, but this Japanese has their own mojo, period. Magnificent!" Johann Bergmann, a German music critic said to themselves as the standing ovation went off after their Haydn show.

"Jefferson quote edited; The tree of culture must always be refreshed with young and passionate blood and performances." said one American lived in Berlin in the stage's left wing of audience.

They finally closed it with their own piece, in duet, Red Sun Rising.

Arguably their most nationalistic and "heroic" piece, it became clear that it still glued the audience. So much they even request an encore.

Their choice is their own What Home Means.

Without a perception of "teaching" the message of the importance of family in the "postmodern era" continued to be echoed by the piece. And particularly in Europe with its own demographic issue.

Speaking of the mass, the performance also streamed to the internet.

And in the end. the largest economy in Europe received Miyarima like all classical musicians in Europe should be.

"Thank you Germany! Hope we can see you again!" They parted with the teared up audience as the curtain closed...

Their conquest continues. Austria and Italy is on the horizon.
