#BlackLivesMatter! ;) Don't click the video unless I tell you!

(Mey's pov): This will be a little longer but, I hope all of your fans enjoy it!

It took me 5 minutes to process the situation, that he was behind me as he  without hesitation the one and only Lan Wangji, thinking that I was a spy for the Wen Clan My body was completely still:

"Sneaking in the Cloud Recesses is forbidden." He repeatedly said.

His tone was harsh yet calm, and his voice was threatening. My lips curved into a large smirk: "Fighting 'within the Cloud Recesses is forbidden.' " I mocked him, who then looked in shock and pure rage at my words.

Suddenly, I remembered something that Cheng Po had given me on my 15th birthday; Lan Wangji stopped hesitating and spoke:

"Be warned." He continued: "I will show no mercy to you. Unless you tell me who you are working for."

He warned me.

Covering my eyes with my bangs, by showing a dark expression on my face: "What I could tell you is that I am not your enemy, I am just simply one hell of a lady." I shrugged.

But before he could attack with his sword back, smirking behind his back as I began to use my right hand to take the secret small knife out of my inner sleeves and then did this! He didn't see that coming, did he? Then, all of a sudden, we both started attacking each other!

[Imagine that Mey & Lan Wangji are fighting gifs in this.]

After dodging and attacking Lan Wangji for the last 3 hours, my body started feeling a bit tired, but I wasn't going to let down my guard that easily on this handsome guy in front of me; 'Wait for what? No this isn't going to happen to me, I cannot fall for this guy, I have to help him get his soulmate together. Just like the series, but..why does my heart feel like it just stabs me? WHY?'

But unconsciously, I didn't even realize that I was tackled by Lan Wangji, who pinned me to the floor by putting my wrists above my head, I tried kicking him off me with all my strength but, he was stronger than me.

Until I had given up on him: 'HE IS FREAKING ON TOP OF ME!'  My thoughts got interrupted by him telling me: "Surrender. Now." He hissed with a warning tone.

His voice was sharp and cold, but his breath was 5 inches away from my neck, and I shivered at the sound of his cold breath. We stayed in our position for a couple of minutes until we both understood this awkward position that had happened so far, so I hesitatingly began to tell him by piercing his soul by hissing him: "Off. me. please."

But it wasn't to hiss at someone who already hissed back at you. Then he finally let go of my wrist by returning the piercing glare at me. He took one more glare and stood up straight as I raised my hands in defeat by smiling at him.

Is he going to return the smile? My answer is NO-no-no, he isn't a smiling person (except with WWX, of course), staring in defeat at his victory on catching me off guard, which I finally decided to stand up from the floor by dusting off the dirt of my clothes.

However, Lan Wangji didn't even talk or move but stood still like a statue, he started to glare at me but kept quiet. His thoughts about our fight had been forgotten by the sweet aroma that was filling the kitchen, I immediately turned off the fire and paused, looking over my shoulder to see Lan Wangji's lips into a thin line as I decided to give him some:

"Care to have some Wanton soup, Lan Wangji?" I offered him.

"......"

Lan Zhan blinked but gave me a stoic look, knowing that it would be rude to reject a person's offer; I thought he would shake his head with disagreement at any moment, but what he did was he surprisingly started walking slowly to the chair as he sits down calmly without saying anything. He placed the pot of Wanton soup on the table, served it in two bowls along with some chopsticks next to them, and gave him a kind smile:

"Don't worry, it's not poison," I told him. For a moment, Lan Wangji took his time to process whether to accept it or not; that's when he gave in and took a sip of the soup. Once he tasted it, hoping he could give me a happy compliment with a beautiful smile, but the only compliment I got from him was: "......boring."

And my expectations of his compliments to the chef have failed.😑

Time skip~(a/n: to see if it's not the poison of course)

After we calmly finished having Wonton soup, I took the soup back into the pot by closing the lid so that, the other clan students could have it for tomorrow's lunch, as for Lan Wangji; Who still kept his neutral face by not moving a single inch from his seat. 'What if I try to help him express his emotions? No, I couldn't do that, because if not I would be destroying the series' story. Maybe I should think about it.'

I tried to thought about it and a grin but I kept my thoughts inside without even expressing them, I started to sit down next to him but, not close gave up and started up a conversation with him: "I want to know how I know your name then, I'll tell you."

Lan Wangji kept his neutral expression attached to his face; I sighed deeply and told him: "It's Sheng, Sheng Mey. I look at him, telling him truthfully: "I am not your enemy, nor am I a spy of some clan. But, what I could tell you is that you are a cold-hearted person who doesn't know how to love a person."

With that, I insulted him by standing up and began to walk away from him. Smiling at my victory, Lan Wangji widened his golden eyes behind my back as he abruptly stood up, grabbing me by my upper arm with force. He immediately dragged me out of the kitchen without even a single hesitation, leading me to an unknown corridor.

And let me tell you that Lan Wangji... isn't very fond of insults.

Time brought to you by Levi Ackerman's snores.

Dragging me somewhere to an unknown area of the Cloud Recesses, Lan Wangji began knocking on an unknown door. At the same time, I tried getting out of his grip (which hurt like hell), but he had a strong grip on my upper arm: "Y'know, everyone is going to think that you're not a generous person, right?" I told him with a playful expression on my face but as always, he gave me a deadly glare along with a sword, that was almost across my neck, I swallowed a few times as we both waited for someone to answer.

Until a silent voice spoke, "Come in," a sound that came from inside the room. Lan Wangji then slid the door open, and the room revealed an old man.

He was wearing a Gusu band along with his robes, except that they were more elegant than Lan Wangji's, and he had a small bun with a silver crown on it with a sharp pointy nail that attached to it: 'I think that his uncle looks like the best Grandpa ever! Well, except for his elections, it surely doesn't mean that I would get into trouble.'

However, it didn't change that my upper arm was still in Wangji's grip while pulling me inside the office. As I mentally facepalm myself, I bit my tongue not to do anything insultingly: 'Uh oh...I am really going to get into more trouble than I thought 😅 I felt like my entire body crawled all over my skin with goosebumps, but in fear of the mighty leader of Gusu was...

'IT'S MASTER LAN QUIREN! OKAY, I THINK THIS IS WORSE THAN I ANTICIPATED; NOW WHAT! Well, I'm certainly NOT going to tell him that I happen to come from the 21st century and is going to tell your future. Nuh-uh, sir, this isn't m-!'

My thoughts got interrupted by the Twin Jades of Gusu's uncle, who began inspecting me from top to bottom by giving me a cold glare as he made a 'hmm' sound, "Who is this woman?"

"Like I would tell you..." I mumbled.

Lan Quiren, however, snaps his around to stare in my direction with an awful look. I swallowed my fear as he spoke: "Miss, would you say that out loud? I think I didn't hear you." My fear was rising, but I decided to change the subject (genius!) I coughed and bowed at him:

"Forgive me, sir. I just mumbled that you have good taste in the decor of your room. It looks marvelous." I lied but smiled. He glared at me and replied: "Don't even try to change the subject, young lady." He continued, "I know for a fact that the Wen Clan had set you up."

I slowly frowned at his reply. "But, I am not Wen spy, sir," I told him truthfully. However, Lan Wangji took out something from his robes, and it was my small knife, "Is this yours?" He questioned.

Sighing in defeat, I nodded but kept my posture straight, "...yes." I answered. But I repeatedly began telling him that I was not a spy or an enemy like 3rd time, while my ears started heating up in anger that Lan Wangji had already noticed and spoke up: "Why did you attack then?" I tensed up with his question.

This only made Lan Wangji tighten my upper arm even more. However, it didn't take long for him to suddenly let go of me to the floor, making me fall on my knees as I held my both injured knees by biting my lip without even hissing out loud. "Uncle, I have come back from my night hunt—" said another voice, only this time it wasn't Lan Wangji.

My brain mentally exploded from the man's gentle voice that I had just heard seconds ago. What I really meant about it was that it was perfect and neat, including his elegant smile of kindness as he bowed in front of me. I relaxed a bit when he began to tell me, "Our deepest apologies, ma'am." He continued to tell me with kindness, "But can you tell us your name, please?"

My body tensed up again when I heard another familiar voice. Once I turned my face around slowly, my eyes widened in excitement but in fear that he could read me like a book; that's when I figured out that this man was none other than Lan Wangji's older brother:

"You're Lan Xichen!" I gasped.

Lan Xichen turned to me with a confused look and wondered why I was there. Well, soon enough, you'll know, dude. Until he finally noticed his uncle & Lan Wangji with his smile. Before I could respond to his question, Lan Wangji had already walked away from me as he stood next to his uncle along with Lan Xichen, muttering to each other that I couldn't even figure out what they were talking about, so I stayed silent....for now.

Suddenly, my ears perked with attention, but somehow, I heard some voice inside my head: "Uncle, she is innocent, and I don't think that she's a spy." One voice was Lan Xichen, who sounded concerned: "She sneaked within the Cloud Recesses without any permission."

'Lan Wangji, why do you still act like a jerk?!' My thoughts started scribbling bad things about him, but I still didn't want to tell them my two real secrets. Biting my lower lip, I decided to interrupt their muttering conversation by telling them out loud: "Okay, look, I may have gone the wrong foot, but firstly, I am not a threat nor a spy of any Wen Clan; secondly, I sneaked into the kitchen because I was hungry & Thirdly, I don't even how the hell I got here!"

"..." They stared at me in shock that Twin Jades of Gusu stayed completely silent for a very long moment, and without any loud remarks from any of them, the silence had overpowered them like making everything awkward. However, it didn't stop Master Lan Quiren from investigating me as he coughed out and said:

"Why should we three believe you?" He questioned me. Caressing his long beard by closing his eyes, waiting for me to respond, I stood up from the ground by answering him calmly:

"Master Lan..." I paused and began looking up at him with courage that was beginning to build inside me as I spoke: "I have always looked up to your clan, and I want to become a disciple; I want to learn about the pure ways of the Lan Clan, I will prove to you that I am not a spy or any of the sort but, I can promise you that I will never betray you, sir."

Once, I said by giving them a respected bow and smile on which Lan Xichen returned it. At the same time, Master Lan Quiren froze in his seat. He immediately stood with fire in his eyes and calmly asked me, "Is that the best thing you could do, trying to make us believe your words?"

"Yes, I m-mean N-no!" I stammered, but the fact that Master Lan Quiren was giving me now was not a good sign, if not of anger.

Slamming his table in rage, he gave a deadly glare by pointing at me as he began to command him: "Please escort this woman at once before I strike her down!" His voice boomed from his office/dorm as Lan Wangji marched beside me, grabbing my upper arm and pulling me to the exit. Once we reached the exit, Lan Wangji threatened me: "Once it is dawn, you will never be seen or heard from again."

With that, he walks away. Leaving me without even saying another word or even telling me that there are a lot and LOTS of dead-walking corpses in the middle of the night, I shrug myself.

Something hit me...my mother's hanfu!: 'Sh*t, I left my mom's light-blue hanfu in Wei Wuxian & Jiang Cheng's dorm, and now I'll never get it back.' Groaning in annoyance, I slapped myself as my bangs covered my face as I silently cried to myself for being such an idiot: "T-that w-was-s the last thing s-s-she gave me before she got killed in front of me." I sobbed when I shakenly dried my tears away with my sleeve by looking up at the stone wall, the whole of the 3,000 rules, as I started reading them one by one until the sleepiness conquered me.

(Nobody's P.O.V.):

Once Lan Wangji did his uncle's orders, he began feeling guilty for leaving Sheng Mey in front of the gates of Gusu while doing something he thought wasn't right. However, his heart started to tell him to bring her back in, as his mind told him NOT bring her back in. Nevertheless, he listened to his mind by returning to his uncle's dorm/office. Entering his uncle's chamber, he bowed and told his brother and uncle with a frown:

"I did as you told me." He grinned at Lady Sheng's memory with hatred, but he still wanted to know more about her secrets. "I think she was right, uncle," Xichen said: "Let's give her a chance to become like one of us. I think she'll be able to fit in with us, don't you agree?"

Lan Quiren, on the other hand, got inside his deep thoughts, taking him a minute to think it through, but he sighed deeply at his nephews and responded, "Zewu-jun, Wangji..." The Twin Jades of Gusu turned to face their uncle as he spoke: "Find her..."

Once they heard their uncle's request, Lan Wangji's golden eyes widen in surprise, and he blinked as he bowed while his brother did the same, with a polite bow and nod before they both headed out to find the "spy of Wen". (which clearly she is not).

Outside the gates of Gusu... (Click the video)

As the Twin Jades of Gusu Lan Xichen & Lan Wangji had already made their toward the exit Gates of Cloud Recesses, the minute they spotted Sheng Mey, who had happened to fall asleep underneath a tree, she began turning her back on them with a small singing voice came out of her lips: "~nǐ hái zài wèn ma,

bù wèn gǔjīn shì rén de chī kuáng
shéi yòu zài yuǎn fāng
nán jiě shì jiān gù rén
hēi bái huǐyù jǐ duō liàng

hái néng wàng jì ma
kàn kè sàn qù wéi nǐ wǒ bù wàng
yǔ jūn zài shēn páng

bié lái wú yàng...~"

There was a long silence. Lan Wangji was about to protest at the woman for sleeping in front of their Sect, but he knew that something about the woman made him feel odd, like her future with the clan would be the most distractible thing in his entire life. It made him look puzzled. Lan Xichen, on the other hand, thought about the opposite of her. Without saying anything, he smiled at her and was about to shout at her laziness, but Lan Xichen stopped him.

"She is humming in her sleep, Wangji." He puts a hand on Lan Wangji's shoulder and continues: "It's best if we don't disturb her..." He responds as he lets go of his younger shoulder. Lan Wangji nods at him by turning his back from Mey's sleeping form. He tries to change the subject but cannot think of anything. He stares down at her without even getting near her.

Because of her, he couldn't take his golden eyes off Mey's sleepy form, and his thoughts were so clouded that Lan Xichen noticed this and began whispering to his brother: "Hanguang-jun?" he continued as he began to kneel next to Sheng Mey and ordered: "Carry the woman to one of the private dormitories also..."

He paused by slowly facing his brother with a soft smile: "When she wakes up, one of us will have to keep an eye on her for any activities; if she does succeed, then we won't stalk her again, okay?" This made Lan Wangji turn to his own brother without hesitation; he began to carry her in his arms but then felt that Mey was light as a petal as his brother Lan Xichen smiled and asked him:

"Did she also have great skills as Wei Ying?" He questioned. At that moment, Lan Wangji tightened his sword grip without even glancing at Sheng Mey. "I won't ask further." The wave of relief made him a bit relaxed. Escorting his younger brother to one of the private dormitories as they finally found one for her, Lan Xichen had already opened the room. Lan Wangji immediately placed Sheng Mey on the bed by covering her with a warm blanket.

Once done, he slid the door by quietly closing it behind himself as he and his brother had already left.

In the next chapter, the picture of her room will be there no worries! I hope this makes all of you happy with my new update on this chapter!

Until, next time everyone!
