An old radio sat upon the metal table, quietly playing 80s music with a hint of static. Two monsters stared at each other, their faces partially hidden behind their cards. His game face on, Snowball murmured slowly and deliberately, "Got any tens?"

"Go fish," Tiberius muttered. Huffing, Snowball grabbed a card from the deck. In the meantime, the bird monster looked up at the giant guinea pig behind the shapeshifter. Being as quiet as possible, Norman peered over Snowball's shoulder. He could see a seven, an eight, a ten, a six, two kings, one queen, two threes and two fives. The card he had drawed was another three. That made three threes. His clawed fingers tapping on the table, Tiberius muttered, "Do you have any..." Glancing up at Norman who licked his nose three times, he concluded, "Threes?"

"How are you so good at this?!" Snowball exclaimed, throwing his cards down in frustration. Coming over, Chloe grumbled, "It's because he's cheating." A shocked look appearing on his face, Tiberius hissed, "How dare you! I would never!" He was about to say something else when Ozone came over and stole the antennas for the radio. Glaring at their companion, the other three monsters shouted angrily, "Hey!"

"Are you sure that this is gonna work?" Daisy asked nervously. She was sitting on the floor, hooked up to a strange device that Ozone had built from his trash. Sliding the antennas into the slots of a toaster, the cat headed man reassured her, "Trust me madam, this time is going to work. You shall be normal again."

"You've said that every time you tried making yourself normal," Chloe pointed out as she walked over. Getting right up into Ozone's face, she continued, "And you've said that when you tried making me normal again. And with Norman too."

"Wait, why not me and Tiberius?" Snowball asked, joining the conversation. Huffing, the bird monster standing next to him facepalmed and growled, "Snowball, you and I are already normal, at least in our standard of normal."

"Guys, please. I need to get out of here. I need to get back to my life," Daisy interrupted the monsters. Having been there for a month now, she had befriended all of them. She didn't even see them as monsters anymore. But the young woman couldn't bare another day cooped up in this place. She wanted to go home to her grandfather Pops and apologize to Gidget for ruining her wedding. Hopefully, she might actually still be able to go to the wedding. Hugging her knees close to her chest, she nodded to Ozone and declared, "I'm ready Doctor."

"Do an evil laugh too!" Snowball cheered. Glaring at the shapeshifting blob, Ozone muttered, "I'm a mad scientist, not an evil one." Looking up at Daisy, he warned her, "This might hurt a little bit." Without another word, he flipped the switch on the toaster. His trash made machine whirred to life.

Electricity buzzing through her body, Daisy yelped in pain and collapsed.
