Moon's POV

Ember is an idiot.

Now you might be here thinking well, no sh—. Right now.

Well, that is totally wonderful, but he being quite the idiot right now, because he thought that you could eat rotten flesh, which you can technically, but it's apparently a very bad idea, seeing how he's been throwing up for the last hour.

Rain was busy yelling at Ember for being a moron while Stella just sat somewhere and read, occasionally glancing up at Rain and Ember. She clearly didn't want to waste any of her vocal cords yelling.

I'm extremely surprised that Rain still has his voice actually. In my opinion, it should have sounded raspy by now with all his yelling.

So, yes, Ember thought it was a good idea to eat rotten flesh.

And it is at that moment when you wonder about Ember's mental health.

And you also question his stupidity.

Well, I guess Ember hasn't changed much, obviously. It's a good thing we were best friends or he would have probably driven me crazy too.

"You feeling better?" I asked.

"Nope," Ember said, still puking.

"You're such an idiot sometimes," I said, but not unkindly.

I swore Ember's cheeks went red when I said that, but to be honest? I really wasn't sure why. I mean, I know he has a crush on me, but whether he was blushing because of that or of embarrassment, I wasn't sure.

"Why did you eat that rotten flesh in the first place?" Rain asked.

"I was hungry and we didn't have dinner last night," Ember told him. "Besides I didn't want to wait an hour for a cow to stupidly walk by."

Stella rolled her eyes. "Big deal," she said. "Sometimes I went days without food."

"Well, that explains why you were fine without eating last night." I said, but Stella wasn't listening anymore.

"I think I'm done," Ember said, gasping. "I'm going to rinse my mouth, be right back."

"We should keep going," Rain said. "If the Entity is still alive, we know he'll hunt us down."

"Then let's fight back!" Stella said. "Hunter gets hunted!"

"No, the Nether King will find us," Rain told her.

"The Nether King is dead!" Stella reminded him.

"Oh, right," Rain said. "Hey Ember! You done there?"

Ember yelled that he was coming, plus something really not okay to say.

"So, how is it like to have magic?" I asked Rain.

"Hm, pretty interesting," Rain said. "It's good with helping my friends. But to be honest, I like a hand and hand combat more." He grinned. "If you want help learning, you should ask Stella. I'm only an novice when it comes to magic."

"What? Um, why?" I asked, sounding quite shocked. "Er, no offense Stella."

"None taken," she said.

"Stella was amazing at magic before," Rain said. "The book that's floating around me? That was a book Stella used to heal me from my Wither Heart."

"And then I lost it," Stella added. "My magic I mean. I can still help you, if you ever need help with your magic threads even though I really never seen anything like it before."

"Thanks," I said as Ember finally rejoined us.

"That was by far the longest mouth rinse I have ever witnessed." Rain said.

"Shove a sock in it, Rain," Ember said. "Let's go."
