Sonnet 105: Fair Youth
(Faults 16)
I'm caught between two eras of my life:
No longer just a boy, not yet a man
In just possession of a faithful wife,
Not even yet a man in full who can
Defy ignominy with my full pluck;
I lack the very character that makes
A prince out of a pauper; and the luck
Of fate I need to gain back what it takes
To rise out of my troubles runs too high
For me to reach; indeed, my self-esteem
Around my peers deflates with every sigh
Of resignation to a wishful daydream
Of childhood make-believe inside my mind;
I've yet to have my station redefined.
(To be continued...)
A/N: Again, here's another installment... But wait, there's more... ( ^_^ )
