I checked the sky for signs of rain and set off early to make most of the day. I had packed my bag with a few necessities - a bit to eat, a bottle of water and heaps of curiosity about what the day would bring. I went out into the boisterous street and looked around. The area was loaded with people and cars, and so I decided to go to the park. The tall grey buildings were towering into the sky and the reflection of the sun, though it was a cold autumn day, came from a thousand directions. I jostled through the crowd and, finally, reached the park. I began my walk and eventually reached the center of the park. The noises from the road were almost gone. There was a beautiful dark blue lake, it silently pushed small waves against the shore. The soothing sound of the calm wind blew against the red and golden leaves on the ground beneath the trees standing around. I heard coughing behind me and I turned around just to see a middle aged man with dark skin and black hair. He was wearing ripped jeans and a worn black jacket. He was sitting on an old blanket with a tiny bowl in front of him, the bowl contained a few coins. He didn't seem to have noticed me but I walked over to him anyway. I grabbed my bag and found the three sandwiches I brought with me. I pulled them up as I walked over to the man who looked lonely and cold.
