3rd P.O.V

The group walked to the train station in clusters. The exceeds talked amongst themselves. S.J and Ravena talked about different fighting techniques. Lucy, Ever, and Cosmos talked and giggled and Bixlow and Laxus talked while Em and Freed discussed different books and authors. Ripley started at Cosmos ignoring Thunder's teasing.

Finally, they made it to the train station. It was early in the morning so thankfully there weren't many people. Bixlow sat next to the window and Lucy on his left. On Lucy's left was Laxus and next to Laxus was Freed. Across from Bixlow was Em. On her right was S.J and Ever. Ever being in the middle. And on S.J's right was Happy in his human form holding Percy and Jason. Lupin curled up and layed on S.J's head while Crystal sat in her lap.

"Hey Lu, can you tell the story", S.J asked. Lucy looked at her cousin.

"Which story", she asked.

"The three brothers", S.J answered.

"The three brothers? What kinda story is that", Happy asked.

"Sh and you'll find out", Em hushed. Lucy smiled and settled herself before starting.

"There were once three brothers, traveling along a lonely winding road. They were forced to a stop by a river, the currents too strong and the water too deep to cross. These brothers however where trained in the magical arts. They simply waved their wands and made a bridge appear. Before they could cross, however, they were stopped by a hooded figure. It was Death. And he was furious. Angry that he was cheated of three new victims. But Death was cunning. He smiled at three brothers congratulating them for being clever enough to evade him.

He offered each of the brothers a gift. The first brother - an arrogant man - asked for the most powerful wand in existence. So Death fashion a wand from a branch from an elder tree that hung on the side of the riverbank.

The second brother wanted to humiliate Death even further. He asked for the power to bring back the dead. So Death plucked a stone from the river and offered it to him, telling the second brother 'Turn it thrice in hand, and who you wish to see will appear before you'.

The third brother more cautious and wary asked for something that would allow him to go forth from this place without being followed by Death. Reluctantly Death cut a piece of his own invisibility cloak and offered it to the third brother.

the Three Brothers thanked death and continued on their way. The first brother traveled to a village where he had once lost a quarrel with a fellow wizard. After defeating the other wizard, the first brother was drunk. Drunk with the power the wand gave him. He boasted about how he was clever enough to evade death. However, that very same night another wizard stole the wand and slit the brother's throat for good measure. So Death took the first brother.

The second brother traveled to his home where he lived alone. Turing the stone thrice in hand -as Death told him to- a woman appeared before him. The second brother was overjoyed. The woman and the second brother were to be married, but she died tragically on the way to the church. But the woman was sad for she was no longer part of this world. Driven mad with grief, the second brother hung himself so he could truly join her. So Death took the second brother

As for the third brother, Death could not find him for many years. Only when the third brother was old a frail did he shed the invisibility cloak and hand it to his son. He smiled and greeted death as an old. Only then did Death take the third brother"

“I can not believe you remember that story”, Em smiled. 

“Of course I do. I remember when mother used to tell us when we had sleepovers", Lu said, smiling at the old memory. 

“I miss aunt Layla”, Em sighed. 

“Me too”, Lucy, Laxus, and S.J said.

“What was she like? You hardly ever talk about her”, Freed asked. 

“She was beautiful”, Laxus started, “Lucy looks just like her”

“She does”, Ever asked. 

“Yeah, she does. I remember when I first saw her two years ago. I thought I was going crazy”, S.J nodded. 

“So did I”, Em piped. 

“You really look that much like your mom”, Bixlow asked. Lucy smiled and nodded. 

“Yeah, I look like her. But she was way more ladylike”, Lucy replied. 

“No kidding”, Laxus scoffed. Lucy rolled her eyes at her brother. 

“Shut up Laxus. You don’t want to be reminded that you look like our father”, Lucy snapped. 

“Laxus, you look like your father”, Ever asked. Laxus nodded.

“Yeah. I look like the bastard. The only difference is I’m blond and he had black hair. But I inherited his blue eyes”

“That’s right. All Blacks have black hair and blue eyes”, S.J said. 

“Really”, Freed asked. 

“Yep. I mean look at me. I’m a spitting image of my father”, S.J replied, her smile falling a bit. 

“Then I’m guessing Em is a spitting image of your mother”, Bixlow assumed. 

“That’s right”, Em replied. 

“Mom’s eyes were actually greener. Em inherited some of the blue from father”, S.J said. 

“What about your cousin Rouge”, Evergreen asked. 

“What about him”, Lucy asked. 

“Who does he look like”, Bixlow clarified. 

“Both his parents. The same black hair, pale skin”, S.J answered. 

“His eyes are red like his mothers. He usually speaks softly as she did but in a monotone like his father”, Em continued. 

“Is the scar across his nose still visible”,  Lu asked. 

S.J shook her head, “Not the last time we saw him. His hair covers half his face”

“Probably not anymore. Sting might have convinced him to pull it back into a ponytail”

“Sting”, Laxus asked. 

“Yeah. His partner”, S.J replied. 

“Think they’re together yet”, Em asked. 

“God I hope so. The amount of sexual tension between them, it’s worse than Freed and Laxus”, S.J grumbled. 

“WHAT”, Freed and Laxus yelled. “What tension”, Laxus growled. 

“There isn’t any now. But when we first met. It was horrible”, S.J replied. 

“So who is Sting. Other than Rouge’s partner”, Lucy asked, cutting off Laxus before he could speak again.  

“He’s the light/holy dragon slayer”, Em answered. 

“He’s a dragon slayer”, Bixlow asked.

“Yeah. He used to idolize The Salamander”, 

“Natsu”, Lucy asked. 

“I don’t know. Sting never said is actual name”, Em replied. 

“That’s scary to think about. Natsu is referred to as The Salamander”, Lucy shivered. 

“Are you serious”, S.J asked in disbelief. All the Fairy Tail wizards nodded. 

“Sting’s an idiot”, S.J mumbled. Lucy laughed and shook her head. 

“Now entering Magnolia train station”

“We’re here already”, Happy asked. 

“Guess so”, Lucy mumbled. 

The group was silent until they got off the train. 

“Now what”, Lupin asked. 

“We find a house”, Lu replied. 

“But we don’t have any money”, Laxus said. 

“Actually we do”, Lucy smiled. 

“How”, Em asked. 

“My mother’s grave. There is a hidden little door. In there was a stash of money”

“How did you know it was there”, Bixlow asked. 

“Because I put in there just in case before I ran away from Jude”, Lucy said. 

“How much do you have”, Ever asked. 

“About 75,000,000 jewels”

“WHAT”, Bixlow yelled. Everyone else had their jaws on the floor. 

“SSH”, Lucy hushed, smacking him in the stomach. 

“So we have enough to buy a house”, S.J asked. 

“Duh. Either we buy one big house for all of us or smaller houses for each team”, Lucy negotiated. 

“Why not individual houses”, Igneel asked. 

“Because in teams we’re safer”, Ravena snapped. 

“Ravena’s right. That’s what you were thinking right”, Ripley asked Lucy. 

“Exactly”

“Smart thinking Lu”, Cosmos smiled. 

“Thanks. So what’s it gonna be”, Lucy asked. 

Everyone thought about it. 

“One big house,'' they said in unison. 

“Alright then. But people are gonna have to share rooms. Got it”

“Yes ma’am”

“How are we going to divide them”, Igneel asked.

“By team”, Em suggested. Lucy shook her head. 

“That’s a good idea, but...”, she trailed off. 

“But”, Cosmos asked. 

“How bout this; The exceeds share one room. Em, Ever and Cosmos share another room. Freed and Laxus. Lucy and Bixlow. Ravena and S.J. Ripley, Thunder, Igneel get their own rooms plus two spare rooms”, Lupin suggested. 

“Bixlow will not be sharing a room with my sister”, Laxus growled. 

“Why not”, Ever asked, “They’ve been sharing a bed since they started dating”

“Evergreen has a point”, Freed agreed. 

“You’re agreeing to this”, Laxus asked. 

“I get you don’t like it but maybe for a while, Lucy stays with Em, Ever and Cosmos”, Freed suggested. 

“I’m okay with that,'' Lucy piped. 

“If that means I get my own room, I’m cool with it”, Bixlow said. 

“Fine”, Laxus said after a while. 

“Yay. Now let’s go”, Lucy smiled. 

"Shouldn't we hide ourselves first", Crystal asked. 

"Yes we should", Ravena said, "We don't want to be found ou to soon"

"You're right. Alright everyone. Mask your scents and cover yourself with your cloaks", Lucy instructed. 

After everyone was ready the group set out. 

"Lu, I'm hungry", Happy whined. Lucy sighed and pulled a fish from her bag.

"Here ya go"

Happy took the fish and began munching on it. 

"That is seriously weird", Thunder gagged. 

"What's weird", Em asked. 

"Watching a 'human' eat raw fish"

"Well Happy isn't human", Em countered. 

"But he looks human right now", Thunder whined. 

"Thunder, you are a 500 year old dragon. Start acting like it", Lucy scolded. 

"Yes ma'am", Thunder grumbled sadly. 

"Look at what you did Lu, he's all sad now", Bixlow teased. 

"Bixlow. Shut up or nothing for a month" Lucy threatened. 

"Please tell me that doesn't mean what I think it means", Laxus cried. 

"Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't", Lucy smiled. Freed saw the smirk on her face. 'You're a dead man Bix', he thought. 

By the end of the day the group didn't find a house. 

"Wanna catch a room", Ever asked. 

"No. We'll camp. We can set up near the river Happy used to fish in"

"Alright"

By nightfall everyone was settled. Waiting for what tomorrow would bring them.

The chapter sucks I know. I'm really sorry. School and life has just been so crazy lately.
