Third Person POV 

"ULDREEEEN!" 

A voice echoed throughout the reef. 

Uldren stood in front of a door as he smirked at the hunter before him. 

Uldren: He didn't even feel a thing. 
He smirks as he sees Y/N aiming at his direction. 

BANG 

The door closed before Y/n was able to shoot at him. 

Y/N DAMN IT! 
He yells, his voice echoing throughout the abandoned hallway. 

To Ruby 

Ruby knelt on the ground in shock as she held her wounded side, seeing Ana kneeling in front of the injured Cayde. 

Cayde: H-hey k-kid.
He said as he looked at Ruby. 

Ruby slowly looked at him, her eyes filled with tears. 

Cayde: D-D-Do me a favor. 
He coughs. 

Ruby nods as she looks at him. 

Cayde: T-Take care of Y/N. 
He said as his eyes slowly went dim. 

Ruby: C-C-Cayde? 
She asked as she shook him. 

Ruby: Please don't go. 
She said as she shook him more. 

Ruby: H-H-How am I going to tell him. 
She said as tears ran down her cheeks. 

THUD 

Ruby and Ana turned to see Y/N standing in front of them as he walked over. 

Ruby opened her mouth but nothing came out as Y/N grabbed Cayde and slowly walked away. His footsteps only being heard as the two hunters followed him. Ana and Ruby looking down in sorrow as Y/N held his friend, mentor, and most of all his father figure. 

The three walked out of the prison as they walked to the ship to only hear Petra breathing for air. 

Petra: Wait. Y/N. What are you going to do. 

Y/N laid Cayde on top of a medical bed and put a tarp over him before turning to see the fellow guardian. 

Y/N: Petra. How long has he been here. 
He said coldly. 

Petra: I-I-I-

Y/N: HOW LONG HAS HE BEEN HERE! 
He yells as he glares at her with tears. 

Petra: Ever since the taken came. 
She told him. 

Y/N: So 5 years since. 
He said coldly. 

A/N: I'm not going to go in order from D1 to D2. It'll be random...

Petra: Y/N. W-We

Y/N: Shut up. 
He said as he walked back into the ship. 

Petra: We can stop him together! 
She yells to him. 

Y/N: Where is he going. 
He said as he slowly turned his head to towards her. 

Petra: This is the coordinates. 
She said as she tossed him a drive, landing by his foot. 

Y/N: Hmm. 
He said as he picked it up before the closes the door. 

Petra: Y/N! WAIT! 
She yells before the ship blows her away before leaving. 

Ruby: W-W-What happens now? 
She asked Ana as she looked down before pulling out her knife. 

Ana: We hunt down Uldren. 

Time-Skip 

In a courtyard of the city, majority of the guardians stood before their respected vangaurds. The warlocks behind the Ikora. The titan behind Zavala. The hunters behind Y/N as flowers blew with the wind. 

While the courtyard was quiet, many of the residents watched with sorrow as many of the guardians had their helmets off, respecting the fallen guardian. 

A vanguard. 

A hunter. 

A friend. 

Mentor. 

Father. 

Ikora slowly stepped up to the tarp as she looked at it with sorrow. 

Ikora: We should have been there .
She said as she looked at the tarp. 

Y/N looked down as Ruby looked him with sorrow. Her silver eyes looking at him with sadness and worry as he didn't bother to look at her. 

Ikora: This is not your fault. 
She said as she looked at Y/N. 

Ikora: This is on the head of Uldren Sov. An old ally that fought with us against the taken king. 
She said as Y/N clenched his fist. 

Y/N: I should have been able to save him. 
He said coldly. 

???: Let's go Y/N. 
Another fellow hunter said as Y/N walked with him. 

The two hunters placed Cayde into a grave as the guardians watched. Ruby watching him as she saw his dulled E/C eyes. Blake watching from the rooftop as she had her hand on her stomach. 

Cayde was soon buried as the the guardians bid him farewell. Titans and warlocks leaving one by one. 

Lastly, the hunters left before bidding their leader farewell. 

Out of all them, Ruby stayed. 

Ruby: I promise. I promise I'll take care of him. 

Ruby: I'll take care of Y/N. 

Somewhere Else 

In a dark land, Uldren was standing in front of a woman with pale skin as he looked at her. 

???: Why are you here. 
The woman asked him. 

Uldren: Here to make a deal.
