Peggy's POV

"No one you know," Mariah sobbed. "Oh, no, except for Laf. Who have you had back here?" She backed up desperately. "No one you know! Except for... Um.... Alex?" I sighed deeply and laughed quietly. "Alex? He's... He's so confident... He must have been so destroyed..." She quickly grabbed the ropes and cloth and handed to me. I didn't respond, I just left. 

I got rid of the ropes and cloth, and went right to sleep. It was a little early, but I was done with this whole day. Also, tomorrow was Thursday. Thursday. I needed a dress, I needed to go to-- No, that's the least of my worries right now. I hadn't heard any news of Angie. Not when I went to sleep. Not when I woke up. She wasn't in school. Obviously. Neither was Mariah. Or Eliza, Alex, or even Theo. The school seemed quiet. So many people were missing. The school day crawled by, with every class missing at least one person. 

After school, I had so much to do. I ran to the Empty Lot first, since that was happening immediately after school. When I got there, I had to wait a little bit, but then the boy came up over the hill.

Hercules climbed the hill into my sight. "Herc?!" I exclaimed, running over to him. "Yup," he responded, and ran toward me as well. "Will you go to the dance with me?" I almost choked on my own throat. I had so much going on, I shouldn't go. But... I wanted to go so badly. And doing nothing wouldn't help Angie. And not many people would be there... "Yes, I'll go with you." 

And that was it. Well, no it wasn't. More happened, but nothing big. Nothing important. I ran over to the hospital where Angie was. She was vaguely awake, and trying to stay that way. When she saw me, she whispered, "I'm gonna get to the dance..." She wasn't even in shape to stand up. But when she saw me, I could tell that she truly wanted to go, and that she would do anything to get there.

Angelica's POV

I know it'll be hard to get the the dance. Maybe impossible. But I'm still going. I turned to the doctor next to me. "Is there any way.. ANY way at all that I can get to the dance?" The doctor sighed, "One," and shot something into my side. Everything became a blur. Everything went dark. Are you there?
