My rating: 2/10
Genre- anime, fantasy

For starters, the absolutely stunning animation is what drew me to watch this. That and the fact that it was centered around the ocean. I absolutely love the ocean.

The opening was slow but enough to keep me interested.

I believe this is based on a manga, however I've not read it. So I apologize if my review is not an accurate depiction of your favorite manga.

About halfway through I began to get really confused. So much was unexplained! I wanted answers so I kept watching.

However as I kept watching I found very few answers and even more questions. By the 1 hour and 20 minute mark I was honestly bored out of my mind.

But I'm no quitter.

The ending honestly left me even more confused. So much was going on and I didn't understand any of it. Maybe I'm just not smart enough to understand the greater meaning.

I found it difficult to care about any of the characters except for maybe Umi. The rest just didn't appeal to me or do anything that made me care about them.

Again, I apologize if this offends you. It's just my opinion. It has beautiful animation and an interesting idea I feel it just didn't carry out well.
