I know I'm so behind by having only watched this now. In my defense, I watched the original one from 1970 and it wasn't that good. However it's Halloween month so it'll be a month full of scary movies for me!

First of all, that opening scene shocked me. I mean, I knew what was going to happen I just didn't expect it to be that violent. I barely even knew Georgie and I was so upset! I nearly started crying.

I'm usually not the biggest fan of horror movies surrounding children. Or ones that depict graphic violence on children.

I hated Henry in the beginning but towards the end I felt really bad. Of course nothing can excuse his horrible actions but with an abusive father like that, it's not wonder he turned out mean. 
I was definitely not expecting Henry to kill his dad like that. I was shocked.

There were several moments that genuinely scared me. Especially the scene where Eddie's head pops out of the mattress and liquid starts spewing out of his mouth. And again when Pennywise crawled out of the fridge and attacked Eddie.

The casting for penny wise was utter perfection. I think he did a fantastic job. I wasn't scared of clowns before but I'm definitely afraid of them now.

Can we collectively agree that Mrs. K is a total bitch? Also, Bev's dad is absolutely disgusting.

I thought Stanley's acting could have been a bit better but overall not a bad performance! And they are all kids so they have time to learn and grow in their acting skills.

I was a little sad that Bev didn't end up with Ben.

I was left with so many questions but I guess that's why they made Chapter 2.
