Summary: Eva Khatchadourian (Tilda Swinton) is a travel writer/publisher who gives up her beloved freedom and bohemian lifestyle to have a child with her husband, Franklin (John C. Reilly). Pregnancy does not seem to agree with Eva, but what's worse, when she does give birth to a baby boy named Kevin, she can't seem to bond with him. When Kevin grows from a fussy, demanding toddler (Rocky Duer) into a sociopathic teen (Ezra Miller), Eva is forced to deal with the aftermath of her son's horrific act.

This is such an incredibly underrated film. If you want a thriller that isn't too scary this is just for you.

I want to preface this by saying yes, I know Ezra Miller is in this movie. And no I do not condone their recent actions. I do however think that they are an incredible actor and wish them the best as they get the help they need.

Tilda Swinton once again blows me away in this film. She's the perfect choice to play Eva. We pity her yet can't help but be frustrated with her character's actions in moments of the film.

If any of these subjects are sensitive to you, steer clear of this movie. For the most part, there isn't much gore until the very end but what is there is heart breaking so watch with caution.

The film was a little confusing for the first few minutes as it flashes from present day Eva living on her own, to past Eva with her family. You have to slowly put the pieces together and in the end find out exactly what happened that ripped them all apart.

You can see the ending coming from a mile away and can't help but shout and scream for the characters to do something to stop it. And I think that's part of what makes this movie so great.

I also found out that it's based on a book? I'll probably go read it now.
