I woke up when the sun wouldn't leave me alone. It zoomed right through the window and kept nagging at me.

I was still on the couch. Surprisingly. Jazzy was still in my lap. Fast asleep, my arms wrapped around her. Melody's head was leaning on my shoulder. The Lightning Thief in her lap, still opened, unread.

I was in the middle of them both. I rubbed my eyes with one hand, trying not to wake them up.

The fireplace was now fire less. No crackling sound to break the silence, nor any heat to wrap around me like a blanked. I missed it.

"You three were impossible to move." Said Alice. I jumped up slightly out of surprise. "Jazzy kept hugging you, and Melody and you were too heavy to carry to the rooms. You wouldn't wake up at all. Jake and Jack started banging pots and pans. I think we woke people up for miles, but not you three." Alice said. I shrugged, not knowing what else to do.

"Kyle, what did you and Melody really do outside yesterday?" Alice asked. Melody tensed up. She was awake. I shrugged. I pointed to the snow outside the window, trying not to wake up Jazzy or blow up Melody's cover. Of what I don't know.

"You guys just played in the snow?" Alice asked. I shook my head.

"Are you sure? You guys seemed a little dry for that." Alice said, raising her eyebrow. I shook my head.

"Ok Kyle..." Alice said. She walked out of the room, giving me one more look. I waited a few moments before I elbowed Melody softly.

"Coast clear?" She whispered. I shook my head. She sat up, and pulled her messy hair into a ponytail. Jazzy remained in my lap.

"We were that tired?" Melody asked. I raised my shoulders and dropped them. I guess so. Melody put her head on my shoulder again.

"And I'm still tired." Melody said. "You?" I yawned and shook my head. In seconds we were both asleep in the land of dreams. And Jazzy had never left them.

Sorry for the shorter chapters. I'm kinda out of ideas of what Kyle and Melody should do over Christmas. Main event is coming soon.

I'm like halfway done with the book. I've broken the book up in five parts. I'm almost done with part two, Christmas. The last part is really short, so I'm almost half way done with the book. I feel like this book is going to end quicker than I think.
