...I have never once thought an anime could surpass the masterpiece known as "Blue Exorcist", but I think a heaven sent gift came to my mind, which was to watch something else to break up my tabs of "Keijo!!!!!!!!", "Soul Eater", "Rail Wars!" and "ReLife" (which I'm re-watching for the Hell of it) on my iPad, and man.

I ended wasting all my time watching this one anime.

This anime known as "Code Geass" was AMAZING. For an anime built out from stratch, it looks great, and the anime designs from Clamp are some of the most badass and coolest ones I've seen in a long time.

One thing I liked from this anime was that I NEEDED to pay absolute attention if I wanted to get the most understanding of the anime, from how complex it is. I learnt that lesson while reading manga watching it and missed one of the most important parts, which I had to Google just to get an answer on what was going on!

Unlike other animes that I can play in the background and get full enjoyment, like "Noragami" and "Soul Eater" (both BONES studio shows with people turning into weapons, funnily enough. Check 'em out, their really great shows aswell, but not as on par with this show). The writing and pacing was excellent, and this anime had me on the edge of my seat like in "Death Note", but stirred real emotions like in "Death Parade" with the games.

Let's get into the stats... XD

Storyline: 10/10

The series follows an anti-hero known as Lelouch Lamperouge, who is given Geass, a power that can force anyone to do anything Lelouch says, but needs eye contact to do so, by a girl named C.C, (which is prounced See 2 for some odd reason).

This takes place in an alternate timeline where Britannia went to war with Japan and won, taking everything Japan had and turned it into "Area 11". Using Geass, Lelouch seeks for Revenge and a place where his younger sister Nunally can live in peace.

Without spoiling too much, this anime is great, with plot twists, amazing mecha battles (Gundam fans, you'll get a kick outta this one), and like I said, will keep you on the edge of your seat, quite often, whether it'd be the death of someone or someone's mistake.

Characters: 8/10

The characters aren't perfect, and much as I like their designs, it took me 12-15 episodes just to get used to the designs of their anirexic bodies, dorito shaped heads and long limbs, the character's personalities and morals are very well done, and I wish I could have the skills to pull off unique characters. While Lelouch is a rip-off Light with more or less op power and a mask to hide his pretty little face against his meet ups with Brittainnians forces, and there's this one bitch called "Nina" which I wish would just die, because I absolutely despised her because she was like Lizbeth in SAO, utterly useless, and extremely annoying. The only time I could enjoy the series was when this dumb bitch wasn't in the spotlight. If the series didn't have her (unfortunately it needed to for plot advancement) I may've given it a 9/10, but this one girl made my blood boil with genuine anger because I despised her THAT much. Otherwise, the characters are well written and I enjoy most of them.

Except Mao.

He took up 3 episodes for no reason.

No reason.

Just wanted to introduce another Geass user and give C.C, Lelouch and Shirley (generic girl that is head over heels in love with Lelouch because the plot calls for it) some character development. You can skip the episodes if you want. Their not important (except the first one. I actually pity Lelouch and Shirley in that episode) Although, the Geass ability was pretty cool.

Art: 9/10

It took me a while to warm up to it. The hair styles are awesome, however.

Music: 9/10

While I didn't care about the soundtrack, the 3 openings were great. Opening 1 was my favourite, then 2, then 3. While 2 wasn't the best vocals, the emotion was there, and you could tell. 3 had better music, but the opening was lazy, but the lyrics were great. Both couldn't stand up to Colors, the first opening, by FLOW, which is extremely memorable and made me sad when they switched over to the more emotionally driven, bad vocalled song. Then it was replaced. Again. XD

All scores added together: 36/40

This God given show is 25 episodes, but leaves on a cliffhanger. Luckily, the second season is there, known as "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2" which can be watched first, as it may just follow after this season, but it feels like it's own. I'm on episode 4 of 25, so the complete series is 50 episodes.

Oh yeah, and a third season was announced, which was the reason why I decided to watch it before I couldn't keep up. It's called "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resserection" from what I can tell, either Sunrise is trying to make a quick buck, spoiled the ending for me, disprove all those conspiracy theories on why Lelouch was dead or alive or genuinenly trying to continue the storyline. If it sucks, I'll pretend it doesn't exist.

My new favourite anime is Code Geass, so be sure to check it out and join the fandom.

Anyways... This book might be dead, so for those who also read my Vanguard story (which you should, it's called: "Cardfight!! Vanguard G: Cray's Collapse") and managed to find your self reading this, here's a teaser of the next chapter.

Sorry for the shit quality, it's called a teaser for a reason ;)

Oh, you want a better picture?

Better? :)

That's all, Fox out!
