Drew doodled mindlessly as he watched TV. His parents were arguing in their room as couples sometimes do, luckily muffled by he walls and TV so Drew couldn't hear anything other than the muffled distorted voices. He was busy thinking. He had a lot of friends, happy despite his parents not giving him as much attention as they used to. Well, unless they had a party, then whenever he walked out of his room to get a snack one of them would always stick by his side as if protecting him. It was usually his father.

He wanted to have someone who'd always pay attention to him. 24/7. He wanted a best friend. Someone who he could keep by his side like a side kick. Or whether he'd be the side kick. Someone who he could cuddle and hug. Someone who'd let him give little nibbles of affection too. His normal friends wouldn't let him bite them, he asked them like he was supposed to. They found him liking to bite as a form of affection somewhat weird.

That always stung when they said that. They didn't mean it to but it did. He bit one's finger off in his sleep as punishment so that was all fine now. Well, to him it was. They were somewhat scared of crossing him now. The kid got his finger stitched back on and since Drew's family was rich and popular nobody messed with them usually.

His parents didn't go out much anymore but they were still "friendly". Luckily all of their friends were normal and not the kind of people who would be touchy to a small "helpless" 15, almost 16 year old. Drew hated them though. They all had best friends. Drew wanted a best friend.

Where's Drew's best friend hm? Why didn't his parents show him how to behave? His father was also way too protective. He prevented Drew from being outside for too long and always kept an eye on him when he was outside. He also refused to let him out unless him, Drew's mother, or one of Drew's babysitters were around to watch him. He did try to protest because hey, he's old enough to be trusted by himself. But his father was having none of it and refused. At least until he thought about it a bit.

He heard his parents calmly settle their argument and start discussing a cruise that would be happening soon. Drew couldn't go as it was for people 21+.

Which meant luckily his parents were going away for a long time on the cruise and trusting him, with the occasional drop in from the babysitter, to be alone. He grinned, having a plan in place to be perfectly alone. He also seen a commercial for a show that was going to be going on the next month. His parents cruise was going to last through the second week of December to the end of February. It was enough time. Just enough time.

He loved being left alone to his own devices. Especially since it meant he could make himself just enough time to apply for the show. It would be so much fun.

Drew had a plan. A very very fun plan. This show could lead him to getting his best friend. His best friend forever and ever. Drew grinned as he got up and went to his room, turning the TV off first of course. He began putting everything together for the next day after his parents left. If he did everything in order, he'd be getting a best friend soon.

He knew what he had to do and exactly how to get it done. He couldn't wait to put this plan into action. It was all going to go through so well. So very. Very. Very happily well.
