I shuddered, my eyes seemingly glued shut and pressed down by a thousand maces all at once as my head was pounded by a thousand more. My skin felt as though it had been torn apart by hundreds of the finest swordsmen, a strong throbbing coming from my entire right limb. I tried to shift it only to gurgle a yelp of agony, the pain shooting up from my paw and covering my arm in a horrible burning sensation. I attempted to peel apart my eyelids, my whole being exhausted. At first they refused, strengthening the battering my skull was receiving, but after several tries I could hold them open a little bit at a time.

My vision was blurry, and I couldn't make much out. Before me stretched checkered tiles far out of my limited vision's range, and tan stone walls vaulting up and fading away. I blinked as rapidly as my sluggish self could muster, trying to make my sight clear, and I began to make out dark patches lining the lower walls and floor. Lumps of all shapes and sizes were scattered around me, and I made out a dagger stabbed through my paw, evidently the source of my long wound.

I shut my eyes again, well aware of the dark red surrounding me, and tried to recall any explanation for the horrid scene before me. The setting seemed familiar, a far off memory begging to be recalled, but it was foggy and vague. I knew I had to stand, get up and possibly get out, but my body was weak and nearly refused to listen.

Sorry it's so short I was planning on finishing it but that didn't happen :T
