I'm taking a leap of a year of Shivin being together as it is a short story so please forgive me. In this year, they spent most of their time with each other whether they were free or shooting.

I had been planning to propose to Shivangi for a very long time, but the proposal had to match my vision. Firstly, I wanted to make sure I got her the perfect ring. She had told me her ring size and likings within the first few months of being together, so I already knew her preferences.

Choosing a proposal location was the next step and I had literally looked at every country and setting in the world. Luckily we got the opportunity of going to Switzerland for YRKKH. This turned out lucky for me as it became the perfect location being the city of love. While going through photos of proposal locations, one of the photos was Uetilberg ( Highest rooftops of Zurich) it looked like the perfect location and imagining it at night with my girl would be just perfect.

I felt that everyone around me was expecting me to propose soon since we were together for a such a long time, especially Shivangi. So I spent about a month changing her mind convincing her that getting married wasn't a priority for us as we could use the time to build our career. Although I felt cruel, I knew this would be a great shock for her when I ask. My plan worked successfully as she was convinced that marriage was not a priority. As great as she is, she gracefully accepted it and realised that being together was more than enough for us. If only she knew that I was dying to ask her to be my wife!

I spoke to many planners in Zurich to get the romantic setting with the city in the background. After a few days of speaking to people on what they can arrange, I was assured that this was the perfect place. I wanted to propose at sunset so I made sure everything co-ordinated around this time.
