Taking Shivangi to Switzerland was easy as my luck was with me so it fell in time with the Switzerland track for YRKKH. I made sure we had spare time while shooting in Zurich so I could take her to the proposal location.

Once, everything was booked, I decided to convince her that our team has organised a meet and greet with us for our fans from 5-7 and the location was held at the rooftop. This would fall perfectly with the sunset timing. She agreed instantly as we both believe we should give back to our fans for what they do for us so the excuse was quite believable. Since it was a M&G I told her to go shopping with me to find nice outfit for the event. We went into a boutique and picked out an embellished midi dress for herself and a shirt for me (I couldn't buy a full outfit since I had already bought mine) This is how I ensured we were dressed appropriately for the proposal.

After several emails, phone calls and messages, everything was finalised with the location, decoration, food and a secret photographer. Now that everything was in place, we were ready for Switzerland.

I had hidden the ring box in my toiletries bag in my hand luggage and I had to be very cautious when going through security so I wrote a little note beforehand saying "Please keep secret. Engagement ring inside." Just in case I got searched.

Shivangi's bag got searched right in front of our eyes and my heart skipped a beat. Luckily, mine didn't get searched otherwise there was a very good chance I would have been down on one knee inside the airport!

After a long 14 hour flight and endless romantic moments, we finally reached Zurich. The place where our new beginnings would start!
