Me and the rest of the girls walked towards the mall together. We all had the plan to hit a couple of different stores for dresses, and then meet back up with the guys later for dinner. The guys were busy shopping for tuxes, with the promise from Kirishima, that he'd make sure Bakugo looked manly for me.

However, my phone was going off every five minutes. Bakugo kept checking in with me. And as cute and sweet as it was, it was getting a little annoying.

"Girl let me see your phone." Momo said as she held her hand out to me. I handed it to her and she called Bakugo. "I swear if you don't leave y/n, alone I'm going to come find you and put you in a hole."

I laughed as all the girls started yelling at him to leave me alone for a couple of hours. Eventually, Momo handed me my phone back and when I looked at it Bakugo was still on the line.

"Hello?" I asked into it.

"I hate the girls." He told me and I couldn't help but snort.

"I'll see you at dinner." I told him as we walked into a dress shop.

"Okay, I'll see you then." He told me.

"Okay, bye. I love you." I said and hung up on him. But the moment I pressed to hang up, I realized what I said.

"Did you just say what I think you said?" Mina asked, and I looked up to see all the girls looking at me.

"Did I actually say it?" I asked and they nodded. "Out loud?" Nodding. "To him?" More nodding. "Oh god!" I yelled and covered my face.

"Oh come on, maybe he didn't hear you." Tsuyu said and pulled out a green dress for her to try on.

I then heard some type of yell from somewhere else in the mall. It didn't sound like a yell for help, but more like a yell from Bakugo.

"Oh no." I sighed and hung my head.

"Well at least he seems happy about it." Uraraka said, and it only made me groan more, as they all laughed at me.

"Okay, no more thinking about boys!" Mina said and pushed me further into the store. "Only dresses!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After hours of store hopping, everyone had managed to find a dress. Everyone but me. I had tried on dress after dress, and I was starting to want to go home.
"Hey you guys go on ahead, I want to take y/n to one more shop." Mina said and dragged me away from the group.
"Where are we going?" I asked her. I'm pretty sure we had hit every clothes shop in the mall. And I really didn't have any hope left.
"You'll see." She told and dragged me over towards a clothing store for bigger women.
"Mina-." I started to say but I was glad she cut me off. I didn't know what I was going to say.
"Hush!" She told me and pulled me over to the dress section. "It's okay." She told me. "Excuse me, can you help my friend?" She asked an employee.
"Of course, what is it that you're looking for?" The lady asked as she walked over to us. She was a larger woman, but she looked stunning. I could recognize a couple of the pieces she was wearing from around the store. And they looked great on her.
"We're looking for a dress for a special dance." Mina told her, and pushed me towards the lady. "And my friend here, could use a bit of a confidence boost."
"Oh sweetie you came to the right store then." The woman said and she grabbed my hand before pulling me around the racks grabbing a few different dresses after taking a few measurements from me.
After a couple of minutes, Mina and the woman pushed me into a changing stall with an arm full of dresses.
I took a deep breath and tried on each dress. They were all very lovely, and fit me well. The woman helping me and Mina both cheered and gave me words of encouragement. Saying that I looked amazing, and blah, blah, blah.
It was fun, wearing dresses that actually fit me well. But each dress just didn't feel right.
Dress after dress, I didn't feel completely great in any of the dresses. I stepped out in the last dress and smiled. This one was the one that felt the best on me. But there was still something off about it.
"This one isn't it either? Is it?" The employee asked me and I turned in front of the mirror.
"I mean this one feels the best." I told her, and she gently smiled and nodded to me.
"I've got one more dress." She told me before walking away.
"Hey, it's okay." Mina said and held my hands in hers. "We'll find you a dress." I nodded to her and stepped into the changing stall to change. I started putting my pants back on when a dress was thrown over the top of the door.
"One last dress." The woman said. I took it, and looked at it. I hadn't seen this dress from out in the store. It was a very nice dress that should have been on a mannequin.
I tried it on, and I could instantly feel that there was something special about it. Without looking in the mirror I stepped out of the dressing room and looked up at Mina and the woman helping us.
Both of their faces lit up, but neither of them said anything. I turned and looked in the mirror for the first time, and I couldn't even recognize myself. The dress hugged my curves so nicely, it held my stomach in a way that made me feel skinnier. For once, I felt small in a large dress.
"This is the one, isn't it?" The woman asked me, and I couldn't take my eyes off the glass. I nodded, and smiled. "Do you want to try the boots that go with it?" She asked and kneeled down to help put a pair of boots on me. And I felt complete.
I couldn't help but start crying.
"Thank you." I cried and the woman hugged me. She was larger like me, and I know she's been in these kinds of moments. Moments where you feel beautiful for the first time. Mina got in on the hug as well.
I couldn't stop smiling as I changed, paid, and walked out of the store with Mina. We walked down to the food court, and I could see our group sitting all together. Bakugo saw me and smiled as I walked over to him.
"Hey, did you have a good time?" He asked me and wrapped his arm around the back of my chair as I sat down next to him.
"Yeah." I told him, and gave him a kiss.
"Is that because you said you loved me, or another reason?" He asked and he too was smiling.
"Another reason." I told him. "But that's a good one too."
