POV: Shinsou

I got shaken awake quickly and jumped at the sudden feeling. My eyes opened and I saw Momo standing above me.

"Shinsou wake up! It's y/n!" I looked down at my arm and she wasn't there.

"Where is she?" I asked, as she grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the bed and to the window. She pointed at a tree in the courtyard and there were already people surrounding it. There was someone tied to the tree.

I ran out of the room and down the stairs as fast as I could. I pushed the doors open and shoved my way through the crowd until I broke through. Y/n was the one tied to the tree wearing nothing but her bra and underwear.

I ran towards her and when I got closer, I saw that whoever did this had muzzled her. But this time it was a full metal muzzle in the shape of a dogs muzzle with it's teeth snarling.

"Y/n wake up." I said and held the sides of her head and lifted it so I could look at the rest of her face. Written on her forehead was 'mutt' and a bunch of other words were written on her body.

She sluggishly opened her eyes, and looked at me.

"Hold on okay?" I told her. Her arms suddenly dropped to her sides and she fell to the ground and I went with her. I looked and saw Hawks crouched next to me with his wings out so no one could see her. The serum he was under must have worn off.

"Morning." He said and he handed me his jacket I quickly wrapped it around her and she started waking up more. After I had the jacket around her more, I undid the muzzle and she breathed really hard.

"Shinsou." She whispered.

"Shh, it's okay. You're okay." I told her and stood her up.

POV: Back to you

Shinsou helped me up, him and Hawks covered me as we walked back to the dorms.

We passed by a group of guys and I took a deep breath as I smelled something familiar. I stopped walking and the Shinsou and Hawks looked me. I grabbed the muzzle from Shinsou and turned and threw it at one of the boys hitting him square in the face.

"Y/n!" Hawks said. And I tackled the boy to the ground. He looked like he was a little older than me and I got on top of him.

"Your scent was there last night!" I yelled at him. "In the alley and again in my room! You did this to me!" I grabbed the muzzle and showed it to him.

"Well a little mutt like you needs to be house broken." He said and punched me in the face. Making me roll off of him. He went to get on top of me, but Hawks and Shinsou grabbed him before he could.

I held the muzzle in my hand and once again tackled the boy out of Hawks and Shinsou's hands and to the ground, rolling us a few times before getting up and slamming him so hard into the wall it made a large dent in the wall. His head hit the wall with my hand around his neck and revealed I snapped the muzzle around his face after I tackled him.

"Touch me again." I warned. "And I will show you the monster you're looking for." I then punched the wall just beside his head and made a large hole only centimeters from his face. I let him go and he fell to the ground breathing hard into the muzzle looking at me with fear in his eyes. Hands wrapped around my shoulders and pulled me away from the boy.

"Good job." Shinsou whispered into my ear and walked me up to my room. After he shut the door I wrapped my arms around him.

"Shinsou." I said. I started shaking, and I felt like I couldn't breath. He lead me over the the bed and sat me down. There was a knock on the door. He went and opened it and Momo came in.

"Sweetie are you okay?" She asked me as she got on her knees in front of me and saw my face and body. "Come on, we're going to get you washed up." She grabbed my hand and led me towards my bathroom.

She helped me get undressed and got me in the bath. She washed me while I sat there and in the middle of it I started crying.

"Y/n it's okay." She told me washed the words off my skin. There was a knock on the bathroom door. Momo went and opened it.

"Aizawa said she doesn't have to go to class today." I heard Shinsou say from the doorway. I was in the tub facing away from the door with my knees to my chest. "Can I talk to her for a minute?"

"Y/n?" Momo asked, but I still didn't look.

"It's fine." I said. And he walked in and sat on the floor next to the tub.

"Hey." He said and touched my shoulder. I didn't mean to, but I flinched away from him. I didn't look at him either. "Are you okay?" He asked me. But I didn't answer.

"I want to go to class." I said, and finally looked at him. "I want to keep learning. I want to learn what it's like to be human. Not someone's pet."

"You're no one's pet." He told me.

"Not anymore." I corrected him. "All I've ever known is what I've been told and what I was allowed to read. I want to learn more."

"Okay." Shinsou said.

"I don't want people to look at me and see a monster. When I haven't done anything." I said and hid my face in my knees. "I want to go to school and have friends. I want everything I've missed out on."

"Okay." Shinsou said a little louder and I looked at him.

"I want to be free from him." I said.

"I know." He told me. I examined his face.

"Are you scared?" I whispered to him. He reached his hand up and tucked my wet hair around my ear.

"No." He whispered back. I leaned forward towards him and kissed him on the lips.
