Kagami's  POV:

  It has been three days since I asked to become a vampire. The first thing I noticed different today was that my fingernails had grown longer and sharper. Sharper than they had been in years.  Perhaps, this was part of the vampire life. Then, again it could be due to the fact I had not trimmed them in a week.

   Anyway, I  looked in the mirror, saw a paler face, stronger sturdier nails, and longer hair. It was at my shoulders now instead near by ear tips like it was a few days ago. This was fine because I had been meaning to grow it out.

   " Let me see what else was different?  Ah, yes, I did notice the bite areas were all closed over. This was good since it would be harder to prove I was bitten," She remarks.

     Kagami saw Luka  enter the bedroom and wondered where he was earlier that day. It seemed he had ignored her and pouted for  all of yesterday. She was not sure what brought this on as everything was fine before that day.  She shrugged her shoulders, and changed from her nightgown into a long flowly dress.

     Luka's  POV:

     Luka almost fainted when he saw his wife. Kagami was so changed in her appearance it almost scared him. He thought goodness is she part vampire, full vampire, or a human who is about to die.  Perhaps, he should have taken it easier on her since she was a human for almost well he was not sure how long.

      He felt silly that he was not sure about her age.  Goodness, he hopes he has not forgotten her birthday that would be just horrid of him.  Even human girls rather turned vampire or not did think birthdays were important he was sure.

         "Honey, has your birthday passed yet?"  Luka asks.

         Kagami's  POV:

         Kagami frowns, "No, but I rather not make a fuss about it."

          "It is just that I am not sure how to tell if I am a vampire or not," She explains.

         She gave a sigh when he did not respond right away. She thought, Is he ashamed of what happened is that it?  Does he find me unattractive now?

          "Luka, darling, do I have fangs?" She questions him.

           Luka's  POV:           

          Luka shook his head no.  He could tell she was disappointed by the response. He knew he could not fix this because he was not sure what had gone wrong.  He recalled he bit her three times, or was it twice?  Ah, had he messed up and not suck his teeth in deep enough into her delicate skin?
  

         He was pluzzed about why her skin was so much whiter than usual, and her lips red, her hair longer and nails so pointed while her teeth were the same as always.  Could it be he was defective?  As in could it be true he was unable to change her into a full fledged vampire because he was afraid he would miss her human side?

          "Do not worry, I am sure the fangs will come in soon enough," Luka tells her. He did not mention that this typically happens a few days after the nails change.

            He did not want her to know that he was to blame for the lack of mouth being filled with fangs.  He wished he could find a way to make her happy without risking loosing her. He felt his eyes fill with tears at it dawned on him she might leave if she found out.

          What would do then?  He thought.

        Kagami's  POV:

         Kagami notices today is a cloudy day. Not that it matters since vampires have no sun issued.  She smiles as she recalls that her sister-in-law is a vampire who accepts her no matter what the species she is anyway.  She thinks did I not make it to vampirehood because I secretly was afraid to see myself with razor sharp teeth?

         She laughs.  She cries. She smiles. She feels her emotions go all over the place.

        Such is the life of a half  breed.  She does not know it yet, but she is a half-vampire. She has been for a few days.  She can still eat most things humans do, but garlic is still toxic to even half vampires. 

         Kagami uses gloves to dispose of the rest of the garlic in the house. She takes it to the outside can and thinks well that is that, huh.  She throws the gloves out too. She reenters the house, and washes her hands.

      Kagami's POV:
       She does not notice the red glow to her finger tips as they turn this color. It is part of her hands adjusting the rest of the way to the transformation.  Soon, she will have no traces left of her old nails.  Her toesnails are already showing red tips and appear to be healthier as well.

          Kagami adds just a small touch of  eye shadow to her eyes, and some blush to her cheeks. Hopefully this will her man to appreciate her more. She feels sad without his giving her that look  that shows he loves her.  

           Luka's POV:

            Luka wonders if should warn her about the rash risk. Nah, he knows she is responsible enough to try to cover her skin in makeup.  At least no makeup with ingredients that are highly dangerous for vampires.  

          He smiles.  He takes a photo of her when she exits the bathroom. He does not ask her if she throw up or not. Somehow he knows the answer already.  He can tell by the look of horror in her pupils that she must have.
