In the previous chapter,  Adrien thinks it strange that he should blush from the touch of  Marinette's kiss on his cheeks. He wonders what would it be like to have her lips touch mine?  He shakes his head and decides he must not let such things be spoken out loud.   Other wise who knows what will happen as a result.

            Now, in the current chapter, Adrien heads back to his house. Once inside his room, he cannot seem to get thoughts of Marinette out of his mind.  He thinks, wait, why is this?  What about Ladybug?  He sighs.  He recalls the sad look Marinette gave him when he told her about the bracelet. He does not get it.  He cannot understand why is  she  not happy?   He does not wish to see her unhappy.  He remembers how she just gave him a quick kiss on his cheek.  He blushes as he thinks why did it feel so great?  

           Meanwhile, Marinette goes home and straight to her room. She sighs. She thinks, I was so close to telling him.  She begins to think, why should I even bother?  She believes it will do no good anyway.   She starts to believe her love for Adrien to be something that is meant never to be told.  She cries. She cannot seem to stop. 

           Tikki sees this and feels sorry for her.  It seems Marinette is one sad girl.  She hates to see her like this. She thinks, all this for a boy?  A boy who does not even notice her for herself.  She shakes her head.  She believes it to be a very sad thing that Adrien cannot see how good he really has it. She does not notice the tears that fall from Marinette's eyes. She is to angry with Adrien to see the tears of sadness that fall from her holder's eyes onto her cheeks.

          As the tears fall and stain Marinette's cheeks, Hawkmoth notices. He sees and grins his typical evil grin.  He is happy to see her miserable.  He does not care that  his plan might hurt this young lady, nor does he know it might hurt his son, Adrien too.  He just knows he must try to get her to follow him and see what happens later.

         Hawkmoth forms an akuma, he commands,  "Go and find her my little akuma and evilize her!"  as he sends it out.  He laughs his sinister laugh as it flaps it wings in search for a girl who is torn beyond repair, or so it seems.   He hopes it reaches its target soon. He cannot afford to fail not again.

         The akuma senses both the anger from Tikki and sadness from Marinette.  However, as soon as Tikki sees the akuma her anger disappears.  Now Tikki is afraid for her holder.  Afraid for this girl who was chosen to be the heroine of Paris, Ladybug. She looks at her and screams, "Marinette, watch out!  The akuma!"   She sees the akuma get closer and hides. She feels horrible, she has become a failure. She let down the only person she swore to protect no matter what the circumstances.

         Marinette feels a purple mask that is almost pink at the corners hit her face. Unlike the other times in the past, she does not fight it. She lets it touch her. She feels she cannot resist it anymore. She lets it take over her. She listens to funny voice that speaks to her. She thinks, why not?  She believes this person is the only one who truly understands her.  

          "Yes, Hawkmoth!  I will be glad to help you get the Chat Noir and Ladybug miraculous!  It will be a pleasure to see Paris, France meet her doom, and to serve you!  I shall join you and get my revenge!"  Marinette says.  She appears to be in a daze only she is now under his control.  She is Hawkmoth's  servant.

         "Good glad we agree on something!   Oh, and since you are broken over a boy, you shall no longer go by Marinette!  No, that name is to weak for you.  The new name you shall be called is  Tear Jerker!"   Hawkmoth remarks. He is happy to see he got to agree on her own. This way he does not have to force her to do what he wants. It appears she is more than happy to do so anyway.

          "Yes, that is great!  I like it!  Now go ahead, transform me!"  Marinette calls out. She feels her clothes change.  Now her outfit is a dress that is light purple, some might say it is lavender, with light blue trim, and light blue tear drops all over it.  To complete the look, her eyes are now purple too, and her shoes are light blue.

         "Tear Jerker, you know what to do!"  Hawkmoth says from his evil lair.  

         "Hawkmoth your wish is my command!" Tear Jerker remarks. She laughs a creepy, evil laugh. She runs to the window, opens it and jumps out.  She has a new weapon as well. It comes with the new costume. 

        Now she goes to make a mess of things, but as she does she calls out,  "Give me Adrien Agreste!  Hand him over now!  If  you refuse, than all of  France shall suffer! " Tear Jerker says. She hits a few people with her new weapon.  

          The people begin to fight.  The man insults the lady and she calls out, "Oh, yeah, well I do not think you are that great either!"  The lady slaps him and walks off angry.  

          Adrien Agreste sees Plagg hit the on button to the tv remote. He does not think much about it until he hears the news broadcast announcer speak.  He hears her say,  "Paris, this is Nadja Chamack, I have some bad news. There is a new villain, she appears to be really strong!   Only Ladybug and Chat Noir can help us !  Will they be able to defeat her though?"

          Adrien gasps when he sees the villain take the microphone and shout into it, "Hand over Adrien Agreste or all of  Paris, France and the rest of  France gets it!"

            Adrien recognizes her right away. He thinks, no!  Marinette, it is her!  I have to fix this!

             "Plagg, we have no time to loose!  Marinette is Tear Jerker, and well I cannot let her stay like this.  I must save her!  Plagg, claws out!"  Adrien says.

            Plagg tries to protest,  "No,my cheese!"   Only Plagg finds himself inside the ring anyway and soon enough Chat Noir's  transformation completes itself.

            Chat leaves to go find Tear Jerker!  He can only hope he can help her!  He must, he knows now without a doubt that Marinette means more to him than even the charm she gave him. He cannot loose her!

           "Marinette, stop!"  Chat calls out.

          "It is Tear Jerker to you!   Marinette is gone!  She is just a pathetic weak looser, who cannot even confess to the boy she loves."  Tear Jerker scoffs.

           "I refuse to believe it.  I know she is still there." Chat says.

          "Oh, yeah!  That is where you are wrong, kitty!"  Tear Jerker laughs.

              Chat Noir steps closer, and whispers, "Miraculous simply the best!  Put to the Test When Things Go Wrong, miraculous yeah, I have got this, the power of love always so strong!"   He grabs her arm and says softly, "Marinette, please come back to me!"

                Tear Jerker, pulls free from his grasp and mocks him, "Ha, that trick will not work with me!  It is not that simple.  You got to try harder than that Chat Noir!"
