Hikari when she was younger used to be a happy go lucky girl, she loved her family very dearly and always hugged them whenever she got the chance. She used to always be excited to visit her grandfather who always told her stories about him being a demon slayer when he was younger, she wanted to be a slayer but her grandfather said to just have a family and live happily but her being stubborn refused.

Her happy go lucky attitude disappeared when she was 13 and she lost her family except her grandfather and older brother to a demon. She then became serious, quiet and she hardly smiled anymore. Hikari's grandfather took her and her brother in and trained her older brother but not her which made her mad but she kept calm and just kept trying to make him train her. By the age of 14 she was able to finally train which made her smile again. Her grandfather told her to always keep calm whatever happens and don't show your weakness to any demons, she wasn't good at first but she was determined to succeed and she did. She took the Demon slayer test and managed to defeat it with ease since all of the training she did, she didn't give up even after she wasn't allowed to be a slayer before now.

When she started to take out demons, people used to say she took out demons with an emotionless face but the truth was she was keeping calm like her grandfather said to do. By that time her brother who became a Pillar/ Hashira asked her to be his Tsuguko since she showed extremely good talent and she had calmly taken out demons but it was easy to tell that she had a heart and felt bad for the demons. When her brother was training her she was loyal to him, all of the other Pillar/Hashira's and especially their leader Kagaya Ubuyashiki (Oyakata-sama). She would do whatever she could for all of them that even meant spar with the Pillars/Hashira's if they asked. She would respectfully accept or decline to them, she treated everyone like she wanted to be treated.

She sometimes outsmarted the other Pillars/Hashiras and gives them advice about what they needed to change if they actually need to. Some wouldn't take the advice but some would praise her on how smart she was, at first it was just teasing her but slowly they actually thought she was smart. They actually took her advice to heart and worked on what she said they needed to do. She cares about all of her friends a lot and is happy to help them.

When she was 16 her personality slightly changed after a certain incident and she stopped smiling completely for a while. She became distant for a week or so before she was shouted at by the Wind Pillar/Hashira and was told to stop looking so depressed and vulnerable, life was life and everyone dies. She took his words to heart and thanks to Giyuu Tomioka who talked to her when she was down she went back to her old self but more overprotective of her fellow Pillars/Hashira's. She hides her sadness deep in her heart but she still shows kindness and love to the people who she sees worthy of showing it too.

Backstory:
Hikari lived a somewhat happy life with her family, she loved to visit her grandfather and listen to his stories about when he was a Demon Slayer. Hikari always said she wanted to become a Demon Slayer but her grandfather always said to just find a husband and have kids which she didn't like the sound of back then. One day when she was 13 her and her older brother, who was 15, went to visit their grandfather and when they came back they found their parents and siblings getting eaten by a demon. The demon thinking they were demon slayers ran, both Yuudai and Hikari fell into despair. They went to live with their grandfather who started to teach Yuudai how to use a sword and to become demon slayer, he didn't let Hikari become one until she was 14 and he finally gave in. By then Yuudai had already become a demon slayer, by the time Hikari was 15 she had become a strong demon slayer and her brother who was now a Pillar/Hashira took her in as his Tsuguko.

He trained her for a year until he was 18 and she was 16, both siblings went to fight a demon who sadly killed Yuudai. Hikari who was devastated killed the demon who was one of the Twelve Demon Moons of his time and also was the one who killed her parents and siblings. During when the demon started to fade away Giyuu Tomioka had came to aid the siblings noticed Yuudai deceased and the demon disappearing. He looked at Hikari who was breathing heavily as tears streamed down her face, she was taken back to the headquarters and she then took her brothers place as the Star Pillar/ Hashira after his funeral.

Abilities and Power/Attacks:

Full Focus Breathes - A tactical skill which sets Pillars apart from ordinary demon slayers. Hikari uses this breathing method to generate oxygen in her blood and strengthen her muscles. It gives her the power and stamina needed to combat demons without changing her physical form.

Breath of Stars Style

First Style: Starline Slice - A single concentrated slash that has a star trail following behind it.

Second Style: Star Stream Circle - Hikari does a somersault in the air while stars do a circle around her from the top of her body to the bottom. She lands behind the demon and while they are stunned for a few seconds she turns her sword to the side and slashes their neck sideways.

Third Style: Shooting Star Spear - Hikari runs towards the demon with unbelievable speed, she spins her sword like a drill. With the same speed Hikari's sword slices the demons body/legs/neck or arms off completely.

Fourth Style: Star Shape Strike - Hikari slices the demon from behind, she makes a star shape that cuts the demons torso and neck. When the star is completed the demons body falls apart into the shape of a star.

Fifth Style: Starlight Shield - Stars appear and combined together to become big stars that cover Hikari from all directions like a force field, it protect her from any demon arts or even a demon trying to hit her with force.

Sixth Style: Star Night Sleep Tight - A lot of stars appear around the demon, they start to attach themselves to the demon as Hikari stabs one of the stars which makes them explode and blows up the demons body but mostly the neck. The demons body parts start to dissolve as small sparkles fall to the floor. If the sparkles fall on demons they start to burn.

Natural Abilities:

Sharp Eyesight: - Hikari has extremely sharp eyesight, being able to accurately predict her opponent's next attack and movements by simply observing the subtle shifts of their muscles, joints and the slight movements of their eyes.

Flexibility: - Hikari possesses incredible flexibility and nimble reflexes, she is fully capable of easily dodging and outpace demons attacks without difficulty.

Demon Slayer Mark - Hikari's mark is 2 stars on her left cheek that when activated increased her speed and power to the point that she can alone fight against a upper five demon and be able to be able to cut off their arms and legs and if lucky neck easily.

Hikari's Mother, Father and Younger Siblings:
Hikari loved them and was devastated when they were killed in the worst way possible. She managed to get revenge for them after she killed the demon but it still didn't help that they had to die like they did. If Hikari could go back in time she would make them all go to their grandfathers house that day but sadly she can't.

Yuudai Hoshiko:
Hikari loved Yuudai and was devastated when he got killed and she couldn't protect him. Yuudai used to always treat her with so much care and love like a brother should do. He protected her until he breathed his last breath and she will always love and respect him for that. She misses him so much.

Yoshito Hoshiko:
Hikari gets along with her grandfather a lot, he is her only family left and she visits him as much as she can. She usually cooks for him and she now tells him stories about her days and how she feels about being a Hashira. Even though she is even stronger than her grandfather he always asks to teach her again like when she was a kid which she happily agrees to if she had the time to do so.

Miko Fukuhara:
Hikari was surprised when she got a letter from her grandfather about Miko, after reading it she got curious and went to find the girl. After spending time with her and seeing how strong she was Hikari decided to ask if she wanted to be her Tsuguko which Miko agreed to happily.

Both girls get along great and are in perfect sync with each other. They trust each other completely, Miko's ears help by being able to hear around her and to keep Hikari safe while Hikari's eyes can help Miko to not get killed if a demon is fast.

Outside of fighting Hikari shares her house with Miko since she has nowhere else to go, they both get along like sisters but at first Miko noticed how hard it was for Hikari since she heard she used to live with her brother. Miko helped Hikari get used to living with someone else but sadly Miko isn't a very good cook so Hikari cooks most of the time.

When Hikari becomes a couple with Tomioka she tells Miko that Tomioka is making her stay with him which Miko said is fine and is happy that Hikari has someone to love.

Giyuu Tomioka:
Hikari at first didn't think anything of Giyuu since she was only interested in getting stronger with her brother. When Yuudai died Giyuu visited her a lot to see how she was, slowly she started to feel safe and calm around Giyuu and started to smile around him more than everyone else. She started to fall in love with him, this feeling started after he saved her from a demon who would of stabbed her from behind during them fighting a demon together. She thought he was extremely cool and started to love to be around him, when people say that no one likes him she without hesitation says she likes Giyuu. This makes the male start to fall for her after she started to be around him and talk to him a lot, she treated him with so much care and she is extremely friendly around him. When they become a couple she moves in with him since he was worried that something might happen to her which she doesn't mind at all. To Giyuu Hikari is his light and she is keeping him alive and giving him the will to keep fighting. At the end of the manga, after the huge fight with Muzan, Hikari is pregnant with Giyuu's baby and they are both happy together.

Muichiro Tokito:
Hikari thinks of him as a younger brother, when she found out that he had lose his memories she was surprised and wanted to protect him. She was worried about him until she saw just how strong he was and it shocked her completely. After that she started to spend time with the young male who seems to like her company. She once cooked for him when he managed to make it to her house when he was injured. She found Shinobu who healed the male while Hikari cooked something for him, she gave him the food after Shinobu left and he at first didn't seem like he wanted it but quickly he tried it and his eyes slightly lit up. After that day he usually comes to her house for food which she doesn't mind at all.

The other Pillars/Hashiras:
She respects them and would gladly accept their help if they offered it like she would request to help them. She was heartbroken when a couple of them got killed and cried but stopped herself quickly and reminded herself that she needed to stay strong and continue fighting for their sakes. She loves them all and she thinks of them as her family. She likes to get under Shinazugawa's skin which she does easily, she was once told by Tomioka to stop but she just playfully smiled at him and said she would if he tried to kill her.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki/Oyakata:
Hikari respects Oyakata and would do anything for him, like her other Pillars/Hashiras she likes to see who can talk for all of the Pillars/Hashiras first. She has only said it once but when he thanked her she felt so happy. When Yuudai had died he comforted her and mentally prepared her for taking her brothers place as a Pillar/Hasira. Thanks to him she was able to be confident enough to accept the position without being scared.
When she heard that he had sacrificed himself for them she was heartbroken but tried her hardest not to show it which she was able to do but deep down she was suffering like when her brother died.

Tanjiro Kamado:
She hasn't talk to him a lot but the respect he shows her and most of her Pillar/Hashiras makes her like him a lot. She feels sorry for him about Nezuko and she is happy that he cares for her so much even when she is a demon. She had helped him a lot with training and he surprisingly helps her as well. She hopes that one day he can make Nezuko human again.

Zenitsu Agatsuma:
At first Hikari didn't like him because he grabbed her clothes and begged her to marry him thinking she was just a normal demon slayer. He was stopped by someone from the Butterfly Estate who apologised to Hikari. After that she started to gain respect for him after he changes and starts to show he is determined to stay alive and protect the people he cares about.

Inosuke Hashibira:
Hikari doesn't know Inosuke that well but she has heard a lot from Tanjiro about how he is. She doesn't want to judge a book by its cover so she wants to get to know the male by watching him fight, fighting with him or training with him.
