Sakura is a shy girl who has a hard time trusting boys at first. She quickly gets over it but she's pretty hard to talk to at first, she would run off if male students talk to her and freeze up if male adults talk to her. She gets better with the students but she seemed that she can't get better with adults. All the male teachers seemed to notice so females talk to her more than males, since they don't want to scare her if it's not needed. The only male adult she will talk to normally is the coach of Seidou, who she feels like she can trust.

At training, after she gets comfortable with the boys, talking to them gets easier, even if she's quieter than most of the managers. She has very sharp eyes and can tell if any of the members are hiding an injury or pushing themselves too hard. She surprisingly isn't afraid to talk her mind, even to the boys, if she's serious. When she's comfortable she's very gentle and a kind girl who deeply cares about everyone. She's the only person who can fully control Okumura and that in itself is impressive.

Backstory:
Sakura had a normal happy childhood until when she was 5 and started to get bullied by boys. They saw her as an easy target. They used to take her lunch money and push her around, until one day she was saved by Okumura Kōshū. She was scared of him at first because of his aura, but thanks to Seto Takuma, she saw that not all boys were bad.

She's not fond of adult males since when she was a child, they would always stare at her with creepy expressions on their face. One day at the start of junior high she was groped by a middle aged man, thankful she was with Okumura so she was saved, but since then she's been scared of grown men. Being the manager of her junior high school basketball team didn't help, since the coach was a male, so she stayed away from him as much as possible.
