History: Elizabeth was born in America in 1751, daughter of the governor of a brand new colony. As typical of the time, he was disappointed that Lizzie wasn't a boy. On the other hand her mother was ecstatic to have a healthy baby. Elizabeth's childhood was a normal one, filled with days spent playing and learning how to do the things that every good woman should know. She was groomed into being the perfect wife. Which she of course hated. The last thing she wanted was to be married off for her father's financial and political gain, but it was all arranged and there was no escape.

So when a beautiful red haired girl came up to Elizabeth one day with an offer, she didn't refuse. Elizabeth agreed to be turned into a vampire without knowing all of the details. She only knew that it would give her the power to escape her situation.

Looking back on it, Lizzie knows she fell in love too quickly but her emotions after becoming a vampire were heightened and Abigail was the only other vampire she knew at the time. It was a whirlwind romance that didn't last very long and when it ended, Elizabeth was heartbroken. She went on a thirty year rampage across the continent before she finally turned her humanity back on.

She is currently settled in Mystic Falls and plans to stay there until further notice.
