Anika and Shivaay reached back home. They saw Kusum serving the dinner. She saw them and smiled.

K- It's good that you came on right time. Dinner is ready.

Anika and Shivaay smiled and they sat at the dining table.

They all had their dinner and Kusum took Anika to her room. She made her lie down on the bed.

K- Beta, are you feeling any pain in the wound?

Anika smiled at her concern.

A- No kaki. I don't have any pain. I think it's healing very well.

Kusum caressed her head with a smile on her lips.

K- Take rest. If you need anything just call me. Okay?

Anika nodded her head. As kusum was leaving, Shivaay entered the room.

S- Are you sure that you're fine?

A- Hmm. I'm good.

Shivaay nodded his head.

S- I'll just sleep on the floor so that you don't feel uncomfortable.

Shivaay said while spreading the blanket on the floor and Anika didn't say anything.

At the same time, kusum entered the room with a jug of water. She frowned when she saw Shivaay arranging his bed on the floor.

K- Shivaay, why are you sleeping on the floor?

Shivaay looked at her hesitantly.

S- Uh! Ummm... Actually kaki, I don't want to hurt Anika while sleeping. So I thought to sleep here.

K- Oh! But beta, bed is big enough and you can't sleep on the floor as many insects and lizards walk on the floor.

Shivaay's eyes widened in floor and he jumped on the bed. Anika was trying to control her laughter.

K- Anika beta, do you have any problem that Shivaay sleeps on the bed? Otherwise you can sleep in my room and I'll sleep here.

A- No aunty. I don't have any problem but he doesn't listen to me.

S- It's okay aunty. We'll manage.

Shivaay said with a smile. Kusum smiled and went back to her room.

S- Are you sure you'll be comfortable?

Anika looked at him with stern face.

A- I'll be comfortable but you might face many discomforts.

Anika said while glaring at him and Shivaay gulped.

He slowly lied down beside Anika carefully, keeping in mind not to hurt her.

S- Are you comfortable?

Anika glared at him.

S- You're comfortable.

Shivaay said while chuckling nervously.

After sometime, he got up from the bed and put a soft cushion below Anika's shoulder which was shot.

A- What are you doing?

S- Umm.. You won't feel pain if you'll have this below your shoulder.

A- You know that it's not the first time that I got shot. I had took my bullets.

Shivaay looked at her keenly.

S- But it's the first time that someone took the bullet for me. So let me take care of you.

Anika's eyes softened a little but she covered it expertly with a blank face.

A- You're just wasting your time and mine.

Shivaay looked at her for a few seconds and then lied down beside her without saying another word.

S- Can I ask you something?

Anika looked at him with irritation.

A- What?

S- Why did you took the bullet for me?

Anika turned to look at him speechless.

A- Uh....

S- Tell me. The bullet was shot for me but you pushed me and got shot. Why?

A- Keep one thing in mind. Only I've the right to kill or harm those who are captivated by me. Get that. Now sleep otherwise I know how to use a knife very well.

Anika said while showing him a knife kept on the side table. Shivaay just looked at her blankly.

He knew that Anika was getting affected by his care that is why she was covering it with her stern face.

Anika closed her eyes.

S- What has made you so stone hearted, Anika? Why are you like this? Why are you afraid of feelings?

Shivaay then closed his eyes and drifted into sleep.

Some tears slipped from Anika's closed eyes. She turned to look at Shivaay.

A- I've buried those feelings deep in my heart. I can't let those feelings to come out. They've always made me weak and I can't bear to be weak now. These feelings had ruined me in the past and I won't let them ruin my future.

She wiped her tears and maintain a stern face. She then slowly drifted into sleep.
