Anika looked at Shivaay shockingly.

A- Husband?

Shivaay smiled nervously. Kusum sat in front of Anika on the bed.

K- Yes. He's your husband, right? I understood the moment I saw him carrying you in your arms. The worry, the fear of losing your was clearing visible in his eyes.

Anika's eyes softened a little.

Dev also came near them.

D- Are you feeling fine, beta?

A- Yes Kaka. I'm fine. Thank you so much for saving me and treating me.

Anika said while joining her hands in front of them.

Kusum cupped her hands and caressed her face.

K- It was our duty, beta. I'll help you in freshening up.

Anika nodded her head and glared at Shivaay. She leaned a bit closer to his ear and whispers-

A- I'll talk to you later.

She said with a glare and Shivaay gulped his saliva.

Anika went along with Kusum. Shivaay sighed in relief.

D- Beta, you can also get freshen up in the other washroom. I'll give you some clothes.

Dev said and Shivaay nodded his head. They left.

After sometime, Shivaay came back and saw Anika eating breakfast. He was mesmerized by her beauty in Indian dress.

He went and sat beside her.

S- Why are you eating paratha? I never saw you eating Indian food.

Anika glared at him.

A- Then you don't know me. Now eat otherwise I'll start making you eat. Don't think If I don't have my gun then I won't be able to hit you.

Anika whispered to him while giving him a glare. Shivaay gulped a little.

Kusum immediately rushed towards them.

K- Beta, don't you like the paratha?

A- No kaki, I loved it. Its very tasty. Don't listen to him, he's just like that.

Anika said while glaring at Shivaay.

K- Beta, don't say like that. He's your husband and he cares for you.

After listening to Kaki, a smirk appeared on Shivaay's lips.

S- You know Kaki, I've spent my four years of marriage caring for her but she always treats me badly.

Shivaay said while wiping his fake tears and Anika rolled her eyes.

A- Its not like that, Kaki. I care for him so much.

Dev chuckled at their bickering.

D- Its okay, beta. Its normal between couples. These small fights keep the marriage interesting. Right Kusum?

Kusum nodded her head with a smile.

K- Beta, do you have any children? Where are they? At home?

Anika and Shivaay's eyes widened in horror.

A- No kaki, we don't have any kids yet.

K- Oh! It's surprising because you two look so much in love.

Anika and Shivaay blushed a little.

D- Kids are of no use. They just leave their parents behind.

Dev said angrily while Shivika were shocked.

K- Don't mind him. Actually he's angry with our son. 6 years ago, he got a job in city. There he got married and settled down in the city. He never even came back to have a look at us.

Kusum said while wiping her tears which escaped through her eyes.

Shivaay and Anika felt bad for her.

S- Don't worry kaka and Kaki, think of us your son and daughter in law.

A-Yes. Why don't you come and live with us?

D- No beta. It's not possible. We have spent our whole lives in this house and now we want to take our last breath in this house only. But we can agree to your one condition. From now onwards, you both are my son and daughter.

Dev said while caressing Anika and Shivaay's head. Shivika smiled widely.

K- Yes he's right. We're so blessed that we met you both.

Kusum said while kissing their head.

A- Whenever you need us, just give us  a call and we'll be present here.

Anika said with a smile while Kusum and Dev nodded their head with a smile.
