“Mirai-san, can I come in?” the nurse asked from the outside of the room. “Mirai-san?” she called out again, as there was no reply from her. Assuming that she might have gone to sleep, the nurse slowly opened the door. “Mirai-san, I’m here to give you… Mirai-san?”

The bed was tidied up. No one…was resting on the bed. No one. “Oh no… I’m dead.”

“Hm… Where can I go?” Mirai told herself, while walking along the Leaf Street. “Oh excuse me, may I know if there’s any place for training?” she asked a group of kids who were coincidentally went towards her way.

“Oh, you can go this way, then you’ll find the training field,” said one of the kids with a green goggles over his head.

“Ooh thank you! Here, for you.” Mirai handed out sweets for each of them. “I got them from Kumogakure.”

“Whoa!!! Oneesan, you’ve travelled that far? Awesome!” the spectacled kid said, taking the sweets happily.

“Oi you guys!” another man’s voice could be heard, just behind Mirai. “What are you guys doing here? I thought I’d say that I would like to see you guys at the front of the academy gate.”

“Oh Ebisu-sensei! We’re helping this sister! She said she’s from Kumogakure of the Land of Lightning,” the kid with the goggles said again. Mirai turned around to face the guy that the kid called as ‘Ebisu-sensei.’

“Konohamaru, stop making lies-” Ebisu stopped, as Mirai bowed at him. “Oh, nice to meet you! What's your name?”

“Ah, my name is Mirai,” Mirai said, once again bowed at him.

“Oooh I-I-I never seen you here before-”

“Oh that’s because I’ve been travelling with my dad, all around the Shinobi Godaikoku, for years.”

“Oh so it’s true that you’ve been to Kumogakure?”

“Ah ee… ” she said, shyly bowing at him. “So these kids are your-”

”Ah yes… they’re under my supervision. Konohamaru, Udon and Moegi,” he introduced, patting each of the kids on their heads by their names. “So we’re going now, these kids got a mission from the Hokage.”

“Hokage? That lady in green clothing?”

“Yes! Tsunade-sama! Jaa, oneesan, we’ll get going! And thanks for the sweets!” Konohamaru said, as they left. “Ebisu-sensei! Mirai-neesan reminds me of someone, but I don’t know who!” Mirai heard, as she waved them a goodbye, before turning around to where the training field was as told by Konohamaru.

“Ah… okay, this should be good. I can release it here,” Mirai said, as she walked to the centre of the green field. She sat down on the grass, and inhaled the fresh air blowing over the field. “Ah… Harmony. Perfect place.” She made a series of hand seals before closing her eyes, totally became silent.

“Ugh… Resting might be good, but at least let me have a walk around the village,” Yamato whined, as he walked around Konoha. He did a good job of escaping from the hospital since he was told to stay in his room by Tsunade. “Hm… should I go to a place that is wide and green, and also fresh? The training field.”

“Hm… the fresh air is better than the hospital scent,” he claimed, as he arrived at the field. He looked around and saw a yellow-haired girl, sitting down on the grass in the middle of the field. “Hm? Who’s that?” he whispered to himself.

“Release!” the girl chanted, as she pushed her palm against her chest.

“Huh?!” Yamato quietly shrieked to himself, before hiding behind a tree. “What is that?” he asked himself again, as he saw the girl was in Demon Fox form-like. “No way? But, it’s blue?”

“Nee nee, what's wrong? This should be working…” Yamato could hear her even though it was a quite far distance. “There’s must be no one-” Then she seemed to realize something. “No wonder… Someone behind that tree, show yourself before I break it to show you, who are hiding behind it,” the girl yelled, pointing her finger toward the tree where Yamato was hiding.

As a precaution, Yamato used his Wood substitute to face the girl. “Eh… don’t be afraid of me and let your Wood Clone walk to me alone. I knew you’re still there,” the girl said. Somehow Yamato felt a bit weird about the last words.

She sounded so… close? Also, how did she know that that was my Wood substitute?

“I’m here.” Yamato turned to his right and surprised by the girl’s appearance right next to him.  “Don’t worry, I’m just a Water Clone,” she said, smiling. Yamato turned back to the field, and indeed the girl was still there.

“Water Clone?” he whispered to himself, before finally coming out from behind the tree. “Who are you?” he asked, as soon as he approaching the girl. “I’ve never seen you before in Konoha.”

“Eeto… I’m Mirai. I’ve just got back from travelling. I’m from Konoha too,” the girl said, standing up from where she sat. “What’s your name?”

“Yamato. How did you know I’m using Mokuton?”

“Hm, I can know anyone’s nature element just by reading their chakra, you know?”

“Oh… I want to ask you something,” Yamato asked, causing the expression on Mirai’s face changed. “What are you doing just now? I saw how your chakras were floating around you, some sort of… covering you-”

“Nothing. Nothing at all-”

“I’ve seen something like that before. But it was a different chakra, from a different source. It comes from something like creature in a body of that person. The one that they called Jinchuuriki.”

“No… It’s nothing really. I was just trying to control my overflowing chakra. They’re kind of… packed in me. So I need to release it sometime,” she confidently said, looking down at herself. “I don’t want anyone to see it though, because people might think that I’m a Jinchuuriki, when I’m in the form that you had seen.”

Yamato gave her a look, a doubting look. He never heard about what she said, but he couldn’t just disbelief her since she had been travelling the whole continent through all her growing years. She might’ve learnt all that during her travel.

“Oh Yamato-san, I was wondering,” she started to ask. “You’re using Wood Style Jutsu? That’s the jutsu that only the First Hokage has?” Yamato just nodded as a response to her question. “Oh… so you’re the only survivor of the experiment-”

“How did you know about the experiment?”

“My father didn’t teach me all shinobi techniques only; he also taught me Konoha histories. He told me that he once entered Orochimaru’s secret lab to make sure that they were no more living infants, and he found an empty test tube with a torn card, stating that it was a male. Actually, I never thought to meet you, finally.”

“Well, that’s my past. Enough talk about it. Do you mind having a walk with me throughout the village? Since you’ve just come back here since…” Yamato trailed off, waiting for an answer from Mirai.

“Oh I left the village when I was a baby.” Mirai’s answer surprised Yamato. “That’s the truth. My father brought me with him since I was a baby, travelling with him as a companion.”

Both of them started to leave the field, heading back towards the village. “So, where did you and your father travel to?” Yamato asked, breaking the silence between them.

“Oh, all of the Lands. Iwagakure, Kumogakure, Kirigakure and Sunagakure. Konohagakure is our last destination. We stayed in each village for years. Our first stop was Sunagakure. We lived there for years, until I was eleven if I wasn't mistaken, and then we left to other Lands.”

“During the Kyuubi attack, you were in Sunagakure?” Yamato asked as they walked down the village pathways.

“We also could feel the shockwave from the Kyuubi though,” she said. “Oh no, that lady...” she whispered, before hiding behind Yamato.

“Huh?” Yamato confused, as he could only see faraway Shizune walking towards him. “What’s wrong with Shizune-san?”

“I’ve escaped from the hospital, since I wasn’t allowed to leave my bed. I've been on my bed since yesterday! I couldn't stand it!” That rang a bell for Yamato too. Quickly, he grabbed Mirai’s wrist and ran away before Shizune could see them. “Eh, Yamato-san?”

“Now I’ve remembered that I’ve escaped from the hospital too!”

Mirai: Konnichiwa. My name is Hishouka Mirai, and I'm 26 if any of you guys are wondering. And yes, I've been travelling with my father for 26 years. We had went to Sunagakure, Kumogakure, Iwagakure, and Kirigakure.

When I was a baby, my father had told me that we went to Sunagakure for the first eleven years. Yes, during the Kyuubi attack, Sunagakure could feel the shockwave. I couldn't sleep that time as it was a terrifying night. Some of the Kyuubi chakras were seen floating around the night sky of Sunagakure. I still remember how I was dying to leave Sunagakure that night, just to know how does the Kyuubi look like. But my father kept preventing me from going out of my room. I didn't know why, but I really wanted to go to Konohagakure that night. It was the next day that the news of Yondaime Hokage's death was told to me. I cried upon my inspiration's death. Since then, I've trained and trained harder to master my Wind chakras.

A year after the attack, my father brought me to Iwagakure and we stayed there until I was 18. I continued to train myself on mastering my Earth chakra. My father was the one who has helped me on my trainings throughout my lifetime since he was an ANBU from Konoha. He-

Sai: Mirai-san, stop.

Mirai: Who are you?

Sai: Domo. Sai is my name. You stop.

Mirai: Why should I? It's my introduction...

Sai: That's too much, so stop.

Mirai: Why are you interrupting me? What is your role in this Omake?

Sai: Troublemaker. (smiling eyes)

Mirai: Eeto... Nana-san?

Nana: Sai! What are you doing here? It's not your Omake yet...

Sai: Dakara, I'm getting my part here.

Mirai: Does it have to be my introduction part?

Sai: You've talked too much, it's so long and boring that even I wanted to sleep. So I've decided to take part. Besides, you're not originally from Konoha...

Mirai: Hey! Don't you dare to say that! I am from Konoha!

Sai: Whatever, puny.

Mirai: N-N-N-Nani?!!!! You!!! (fists clenched)

Nana: STOP RIGHT THERE! You guys are going to extend the number of pages. We'll stop here.
