2B, 9S, and Volnutt are in a living room of sorts. The place that they are in right now is the  home of Volnutt...if it could be called a house of any sort. The 'house' that Volnutt lives in is not a house, but a type of underground bunker.

He had lived in this one since he had first became at Carbon, after his parents transferred his mind into this. Now, he is on the couch with the androids.

Funny thing, Volnutt is actually shorter than even 9S, who himself is shorter than 2B. 9S seemingly reaches her neck. Volnutt is seen with his head reaching her upper torso.

After a little minute of staring, he than sighed, and spoke out to the androids in a rather normal tone.

"So...introductions...I'm called Volnutt. You can also call me Trigger, if you want to."

2B and 9S nodded, before 2B spoke out to Volnutt.

"Well...Volnutt. I am known as oRHa No.2 Type B, and my partner over here, he is called oRHa No.9 Type S. We preferred to be called 2B and 9S."

Volnutt nodded, before speaking out to the androids.

"Okay, thanks for the introductions. And also, sorry about us fighting against each other before."

9S than spoke out to Volnutt in a easygoing tone.

"Don't sweat it, Volnutt. It was just a simply assumption that we both caught in."

Volnutt than nodded, but does smile a little bit, before speaking to them rather questioningly.

"So...do you mind telling me, what are you, and why you followed me before? I was getting really paranoid than an enemy was going to kill me from behind."

2B and 9S than looked at one another, before 2B than speaks out to Volnutt.

"We are combat androids. We were made by the humans in order to combat the Alien robots that are existing in the planet. We battle the machine lifeforms that invaded the planet on behalf of the surviving humans. And the reason why we had been following you is that my pod scanned organic matter on you, and the command thought of you as, interesting. So they ordered us to follow you so that we can bring you to the base. And also, this leads to a question of my own, and it's the same as yours. What are you, Volnutt?"

Volnutt than flinched a bit, as he is unsure how they would react if they discover that he is human beneath the new body. He than spoke out an answer.

"I am known as a Carbon."

Now this really interested the 2 androids.

"A Carbon? What the hell's a Carbon?"

9S spoke out to Volnutt. Volnutt than spoke out loud to them in a tone that was very, very unsure.

"Well...put it into perspective...as the Pod might have told you when it had scanned me, I am both organic and inorganic. That is what we Carbons are. Carbons are essentially "artificial humans,". We are basically half human and half machine, and are at least partially if not entirely robotic. Basically, we are technically Cyborgs. But unlike you androids, we don't have a program, obvious due to the fact that are heads  and our torso are organic and is not a living computer."

2B and 9S never heard of them. None of these so-called Carbons have ever been mentioned in the database. They than turned back to Volnutt, and 2B has spoken.

"What is the purpose with the Carbons?"

Volnutt than flinched a little, as he knows very little about the Carbons, and this tone, he acted honest in this question here.

"I admit...I don't know much about the purpose of the Carbons, but...I guess they are meant to be the last effort to make sure that the humans don't die out, and live normally. I guess it was meant to see...if humans could live on this home planet again. I don't really know, as I know little of them. Know little of my kind."

2B and 9S were surprised at the information that they are given. They were told that all of the humans had died. But it seems like they had been reborn in a somewhat artificial manner. They than turned around with two last question.

"Why are you in this city? And more importantly...is there any real humans still around?"

Volnutt than turned and spoke out.

"Unlike the others, I was unintentionally created at this spot. The Carbons are on a hidden island. So basically, I was accidentally misplaced right here. And for that last question...well...I have looked into the computer, and I have discovered that there is a rumor that there is only one human that's still remaining."

2B and 9S are now very desperate.

"Where is he?! Can you tell us where?!"

9S spoke hastily to Volnutt. He than sighed, as he spoke out to the androids.

"I have no real idea. As I said, it is nothing more than a rumor. So it could either be true or not be true. He's possibly not on earth. My guess is that he must be in space somewhere. But I do believe the last one's still alive somewhere. It is just that I wasn't able to find him. I just hope that I do find where he is."

Volnutt than looked at his arm, and saw that some parts of it had been damaged. Mostly due to the fact that he has fought against 2B and the robots, as well as the sheer power of the Hyper Shell. He than stood up, as he spoke out to them.

"I need to repair. If I do, I think I'll come along with you back to where your home is."

He than goes down the stairs, as he goes into the repair room. 2B than activated a communication device, and spoke to command.

"Did you get all of that, command?"

While Volnutt has been talking, she activated a transmission device that sent the tall towards command for any information needed. And it looks like the command has got a ton.

"We read your, 2B. I must say, I never thought that the Humans had made such races such as Carbons, wherever the Carbon race is. These Carbons are not mention in the databases, not even the ones in our computers, where we gain access to the information of human computers.

2B than spoke to control.

"Are able to find it? The island that they live in?"

Than, command spoke back.

"Unknown. There is no signal to find the island itself, and no way to track the Carbons. It's obvious that the Carbons are not beings of programs. Their machinery's manual. We'll need to search for them. But it will take so many years to do. And unfortunately, we cannot track them down. And also, I highly doubt that Volnutt, despite being a Carbon, knows where it is, as he has been created in the city."

2B sighed and cuts communication. Obviously, she is very frustrated. Than, 9S spoke to 2B.

"No luck in this, Huh?"

2B than shook her head. This is way more problematic than they had even anticipated. But there's nothing she can do to even help it.

After about a minute, Volnutt than came out of the repair room, and has multiple bags for him to take.

"Well...are we ready now?"

2B and 9S nodded, and as Volnutt takes his bags, the others went outside. He goes out, and 2B climbs into her flight unit.

2B than carries Volnutt with the Flight Unit's arm, and they take off. The way the flied was very fast, and Volnutt was very surprised at how fast the Unit's going. After a little while, the Unit slows down, and Volnutt looks at the new structure that he's never seen before.

9S, after noticing Volnutt's face, than spoke out to him.

"Well...Volnutt, welcome to the Bunker. Enjoy your visit here."
