"Hello?"

"Hello, (Y/n)" A female text-to-speech voice echoed "I see you made quick work of Bristol."

You felt your blood run cold at the mention of the name.

"Who are you? Are you Bristol?" You asked the robotic voice.

Mark froze, eyes widened, looking at you with fear and concern. Sean propped himself up on his elbows as Lauryn was still sitting crosslegged on his back.

"No. Bristol had a bomb in her torso. She exploded." The voice replied. "However, I liked that one. I am upset that you killed her."

"Who are you?" You asked again, louder this time. You waited a moment for the program to respond.

"The reason you are still alive and Bristol is not. The one you owe your life to, (Y/n)."

The way the text-to-speech voice said your name so emotionlessly made you shiver.

"That's.. Not very helpful."

"Know your place, (Y/n)" The call ended abruptly.

You dizzily sat back on your knees. The only sound was the dial tone coming from Lauryn's cellphone.

"Who was it..?" Sean whispered loudly.

"It sounded like a very angsty robot." Lauryn commented, a spark visible in her eyes. "Oh my gosh, we're fighting Ultron.. YEAH! We're gonna Age of Ultron this bullshimp! Whoo!" She cheered, before digging around in her Rainbow Dash backpack.

"(Y/n), did they say who it was?" Mark asked, pulling you close. Chica looked up at you with worried eyes. "It wasn't her, was it?"

"No, it wasn't."

"Well duh." Lauryn scoffed "The gal frickin' exploded! I know this ain't the most realistic situation on Earth, but I know when to accept a character's death!"

"Glenn" Barry called from behind the closed door.

"Season seven wasn't cannon and shut up everything is okay and everything is fine and Glenn is alive and you suck!" Lauryn yelled back, passionately. Sean furrowed his brows.

"Glenn from The Walking Dead? I thought Ne-"

"Finish that sentence and I will tear your stupid Irish top-of-tha-mornin'-to-ya tongue out."

Sean gulped and remained quiet.

"Anyhoo~" The editor adjusted her glasses. "Regardless, you and I are gonna have to go our separate ways."

"What does that mean?" Mark asked the girl. "Tyler and Ethan are going to be here soon, don't you want to meet them and stuff?"

"Eh. I'll be around, don't worry. After all, I gotta see my blueberry small~!" Lauryn sang happily. "We're gonna be in the same neighborhood anyway, remember?"

'Peachy..' You thought.

"Um, (Y/n), can I have my phone back? You're using all my data on a freakin' dial tone." Lauryn open and closed her fist to make a grabbing motion.

"Y-yeah. Here." You threw it to her, making Chica stand up and sniff it when it landed near the pale girl.

"Okay, who called ya, (Y/n)? Ya looked like you were talkin' ta a demon or some shite." Sean interjected, petting Chica's head softly.

"I don't know. It was a text-to-speech voice."

"It wasn't Evie's voice, was it? 'Cleverbot' my left-"

"No, Sean. It wasn't Evie. I think it was someone who knew Bristol."

"Ha! Listen hun, there are very few people around here who don't know about Bristol. That explosion was all over the news. It was in a residential area. My place isn't the only thing that exploded." Lauryn stated matter-of-factly, pushing up her glasses.

"I'd show you some headlines, but it's Treasure Tuesday in DragonVale, and I need to claim my login gems." She looked down to her phone, and began playing.

"Hey, why did I get a text from Ultron's number?"

"What?" Mark asked, reluctantly.

"'Tick tok' and then a winky face. Not the emoji, either. Like, the typed out version."

"Oh no~ a winky face~!" Sean exaggerated his words jokingly. When he noticed his effort to lighten the mood failed, he quickly put his hands in his lap and looked down.

"Sorry.." Sean muttered.

You couldn't even smile at Sean's adorable nature. You felt tired and your head was pounding. Before you knew it, the world faded and you slipped into the black of unconsciousness.

Ooh~ That's pretty spooky, isn't it? I must say, some of those comments on the last chapter were onto me. You lovely readers are too smart for my books, lol.

I'm sorry about the lack of a posting schedule.. College isn't exactly Wattpad-friendly. I'm also going through yet another rejection, yay~ ;_;

Basically, I'm a mess at the moment.

Despite my mess-ness, y'all still support both me and my writing. I'm very, very, very grateful to have such wonderful people in this community. You are all incredible. Thank you, and catch you later. See ya! ~Lauryn

P.S. Dröm sött.
