"Who's the new guy" you asked your best friend, Hayley, as you leaned over to her

She shrugged her shoulders "I don't know but he's hot"

You didn't say anything more you just smirked at what she said and continued to stare at the new boy.

He slowly made his way through the class. As he got closer to the desk beside you he asked.

"This seat taken?" he pointed down at the desk

"oh uh, no it's not" You said completely off guard

"I'm Jack by the way, Jack Hughes" He said leaning over to you

"I'm Y/N and this is Hayley" You introduced yourself and your best friend

You were standing at your locker after school, waiting for Hayley. When you noticed Jack was at his locker with some of his friends. You didn't even notice you were staring until Hayley interrupted your thoughts.

"Hey, I heard he's on the hockey team. Maybe Mac and set you two up" Hayley said

"Yes Hayls, I'm going to ask my guy best friend. Who is also my ex to set me up with his teammate. Might I add Mackenzie still wants to get back together" You said turning towards her

Hayley just shrugged "Doesn't hurt to ask"

You just shook your head and rolled your eyes.

"Speak of the devil" Hayley said as Mackenzie approached you two

"Hey Y/N" He said

"Hey" you said awkwardly

"I was just wondering if you'll be at the game tonight?"

Before you could say anything Hayley took over. "Of course she will"

"Sweet! I'll see you there" He said walking off

"And why did you have to go and say that" You asked Hayley

"Because Jack is on the hockey team and if he sees you there. He'll see that you like hockey and then he'll fall in love with you. And plus his brother is also on the hockey team and he is HAWT. I'll pick you up later and we can go together"

You laughed at your best friend and agreed with her plans. You two said your goodbyes and she headed out to her car. You finished up putting your things away in your locker. Just as you were about to walk away. You heard your name being called.

"Y/N hey!" You turned around to see Jack running towards you

"Hey Jack"

"Hey, I was just wondering if you were going to the game tonight"

"Oh uh, ya I am"

"Great! I'll pick you up on my way there. Only if you're okay with it" He quickly added in the last bit

"Oh. Yeah that sounds great!"

"Great see you then" Jack said walking off

You then went to your car and headed home. The minute you got home you texted Hayley. You told her that Jack was driving you to the game so she'd have to meet you there. Of course she was fine with it.

As you finished getting ready you heard a knock at the door.

"I'll get it!" you yelled at you walked to the door

"Hey" You said admiring Jack in his game day suit

"Y/N my eyes are up here" He said pointing to his face

You started to blush and felt a little embarrassed. "You ready to go" Jack asked

You nodded your head. You then followed Jack out to his car. He opened your door for you and waited until you were fully seated to close it. He then quickly ran around to his side and then drove off.

You walked into the arena with Jack right behind you. Everyone watched as you walked with Jack to the dressing room. People whispered as you walked by. Everyone wanted Jack he was the new popular jock in town, who wouldn't want him.

"Well, good luck out there" you told him as you reached the dressing room door

"Thanks" He said and then placed a soft kiss on your cheek

Jack then went in and you went off to find Hayley.

"All eyes are on you girl" Hayley said as you sat down beside her

"I know! and I hate it" you said with sass

"That's what you get for showing up with the hot new jock. Even Mac had his eyes on you"

"I'm glad he saw. Maybe he'll finally take the hint that I've moved on. And maybe he finally will too"

Just before the game started Jack smiled and waved to you and you did the same back. From the corner of your eye you could see Mackenzie shooting daggers at you and Jack. You shook it off and watched the game start.

You found yourself so in to the game. You were yelled at the refs, screaming out calls and cheering on the boys, especially Jack.  The boys ended up winning the game 5-2. With Jack scoring 2 goals and getting 2 assists.

You were so ready to see Jack after the game. You waited outside the dressing room with Hayley. As soon as you saw Jack you engulfed him in a hug and congratulated him on his first amazing game. He caught you and hugged you back.

"You ready to get out of here?" He asked as he placed you down

"Yeah just let me say bye to Hayley"

You turned around and saw Hayley with Jack's older brother, Quinn. You smiled at her and decided to just text her later. As you turned back to Jack you happen to see Mackenzie with a girl that you've gone to school with for a while. You couldn't help but smile at him.

"On second thought, let's just get out of here"

Jack laughed and grabbed your hand and headed out to his car. He took you out for a surprise dinner and then took you back home. He walked you up to your front door.

"Thanks for tonight" You said to Jack before reaching for the door handle

"Thank you" Jack said

Just as you were about to open the door Jack grabs you and stares deep into your eyes. It felt like a scene in a movie. Jacks eyes wondered to your lips and then back up to your eyes. He was asking for permission and you gave it to him. You leaned in and he closed the rest of the gap and pressed his lips to yours.

"Woah" you whispered as you both pulled away

Jack smirked at your reaction "I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Yes you will"

"Goodnight Y/N"

"Goodnight Jack"
