"Y/N you ready to head out" Your manager yelled to you in the loud hallway

You wiped your sweaty palms on your new pencil shirt and nodded your head.

You were the new rink side reporter for the Philadelphia Flyers. Today was your first official day and you were so nervous. These interviews would be aired live and you didn't want to mess them up.

You took a deep breath as the boys got ready to go out for warm up.

"Y/N, right?" you hear and turned around. Travis Konecny was standing behind you

"Ya you're TK right?"

Travis smiled "Ya that's me but you can call me Travis only the people I don't like call me TK"

You smiled and blushed at what he said. You couldn't tell if he was just being nice or flirting with you but it made you feel a little more at ease.

"Don't be nervous. You'll do a great job" He said as he gave you a small side hug before heading out onto the ice

You followed the boys out and stood on the bench. It took you a while to warm up but soon enough you were engaged with the guys and having little interviews. You really enjoyed watching all the guys mess around, do their things and getting to know who they were.

After warm up your job was done until first intermission. You had to interview the top player of each period. You felt nervous about it but then you heard Travis' voice in your head telling you that you'd be fine. You soon relaxed and watching the game along with your co-workers.

First intermission came and gone. You headed out to the bench to meet the player. You interviewed Kevin Hayes about his goal and how the team was playing so far. As you did your interview you could see Travis watching from the corner of your eye. When you finished up you turned around to leave the bench.

"You did great!" Travis said happily giving you a thumbs up

"Thank you" You said leaving back to your area to wait for the second period

You watched the second period cheering on the boys. The game was 3-1 Flyers after the second period. You once again headed out to the bench to meet with Philippe Myers, who scored the goal for the Flyers during the second. You asked him about what the Flyers need to continue doing to keep the lead and about how amazing his goal was.

After the interview was done you let out a long breath. As if you were holding it the whole time. You were finally done and you could just enjoy the rest of the game without a worry. The  Flyers ended up winning 5-1. You were so happy your first day went by smoothly. Just as you were packing all your things up your manger came into the room.

"Y/N I need you"

"Huh? What's going on"

"My post game reporter called in sick so you have to interview the first star of the game"

You started shaking feeling nervous again. Getting you sweaty palms back.

"Just wait for TK to come off the ice and interview him here"

You thought it was easy enough plus Travis has been cheering you on all night. You felt pretty comfortable around him.

Suddenly Travis came off the ice and headed straight to you. Just before the interview started Travis raked his hair back with his hand as he made eye contact with you. You suddenly felt a new feeling that you couldn't quite put your finger on but it was a good feeling. You gave him a nervous smile.

"It's just me. You got this okay"

You nodded your head as the camera guy told you you'd be live soon. The camera pointed at you telling you to start.

"I'm Y/F/N and I'm here with our first star with 1 goal and 2 assists, Travis Konecny"

"Travis what do you think you did better today to bounce back from the loss three days ago"

Travis started to answer your question but as soon as you looked him in the eyes. You froze up, not hearing a single word he said you just smiled and nodded. Travis noticed you started to zone out so he grabbed your empty hand that was off camera to help you calm down. It started to help you.

You asked a couple more questions, with the same problem occurring only less and less after every question. You wrapped up the interview by thanking Travis for his time and he thanked you back.

"Y/N that was great" He said as soon the camera went off

"You really think so"

"Yes! You're amazing best reporter we've had yet. I hope you're planning on sticking around for a while" Travis was still holding your hand now rubbing his thumb along your knuckles

You smiled up at him "I sure plan on being here for a long time"

"Good" He said as he kissed your cheek before walking to the dressing room.
