Seabound spoilers

Nya did it.  She saved Ninjago, but had to merge with the sea to do it.  She heard the sea calling to her and she couldn't resist it.  It was calling her to go into the unknown parts of the sea.

In a way, the real Nya always felt like she didn't really belong with the ninja.  She became Samurai X because she wanted to help the boys fight and when she was told that she was an elemental master too, she couldn't believe it.  It wasn't that she didn't want to help them as a ninja and the elemental master of water.  It was that she didn't feel like she belonged as a ninja.  Eventually, the team made her feel like she really was one of them, but she still felt like she wasn't meant to be with them.  She cared about the team.  She cared about her brother, Kai, and her Yin, Jay, but always had the feeling that she didn't belong with them.

When she started fighting Kalmaar, she felt her powers growing and when she merged with the sea, she felt like she was more powerful than she ever was before.

She didn't seem to fight as the memories of her old life were leaving her.  Maybe it was because she felt like she finally found where she belongs.  Maybe that was her destiny all along.  Maybe she really was never meant to be with the team.  Maybe the sea was where she truly belonged.  This was where she would be starting her next chapter.
