Kai's POV

I glanced at the clock with hopeful eyes. A few more minuets and we could leave, saying goodbye to my history class and the serpentine war.  This was the fourth lesson of a five lesson day, excluding study hall at the end of the day. I was sat next to Nya, with Zane and Pixel behind and the teacher droning in about Anacondrai and Constrictai warriors at the front of the class.

Half way through the lesson, Nya had lent over and whispered to me that we were going to sit with Jay, Zane and the rest of their friends for lunch. I had no obligations because in the brief time I got to know Cole, Zane and Lloyd, I found them to be pretty cool. I mean, don't get me wrong, Jays alright, but I have a sneaky suspicion that he likes my sister, and to be honest, I'm not good at letting go, especially when it comes to people i love, so this could turn out bad for him.

As the bell went, I stood up and collected all my things before shoving them into my bag. I glanced over and saw Nya also packing her things up before looking back at me and smiling.

"You ready for lunch?" She said, pulling her backpack onto one shoulder, before looking up at me and smiling.

"Im starving, ready is an understatement" I answered, catching Zane and Pixel ready to go.

As we left the classroom, Zane took the lead and lead me and Nya into a big hall-converted-lunch-cafeteria. We carried on following him to the far end of the hall to a table which already consisted of Cole and Lloyd.

The two boy took no notice of us as they continued to eat their lunches. Cole was eating a massive slice of chocolate cake and Lloyd was eating a sandwich.

Cole jumped when I took a seat next to him, spraying bits of cake everywhere, I made a disgusted face at him, but he just shrugged and carried on eating. Nya had sat next to Lloyd, with Zane and Pixal both sitting on the same side as her making me feel really outnumbered.

Nya and Cole began small talking with the occasional input from Lloyd, so I started to get out my lunch, I wasn't a big fan of small talk.

A loud cheer came from a neighbouring  table catching my attention. From what I could tell, some boys wearing the school teams yellow and black football jackets were trying to chug down a whole cup of ketchup. Gross.

Surrounding the table like flys were some really hot girls gushing over the 'heroic' deed the boys were doing.

I rolled my eyes, about to go back to my food when my brown eyes was caught by someone who was sat with the jocks, but instead of cheering them on, she look super unimpressed, and almost bored. She had beautiful ruby red hair in a high ponytail with a few stray strands shaken loose to frame her face, big hazel eyes and thin lips painted in an pale orange gloss. She wore orange boyfriend jeans with a black belt, a black tank top with orange zebra prints on it which hung loosely over one shoulder. I felt my mouth hanging open slightly, and unintentionally, my sandwich slipped through my hands and onto the table, gaining the five other people on this tables attention.

Cole and Lloyd smirked, knowing exactly what was going on.

"I wouldn't even think about it Kai" Cole said looking at me and then at the red head, and then back to me before raising both eyebrows.

"W-what?" I spluttered, returning my gaze back to our table, slightly wincing at everyone's eyes set on me.

"Yeah Kai, Skylor is basically teenage royalty," Seliel added, squeezing in next to me and Cole having just arrived with Jay, who sat the other side of me, "She the most popular girl in school, cheerleading Captain, class representative and to top it all off, she's super pretty, you don't stand a chance"

"Not to mention Morro has pretty much claimed her already," Jay added, taking a bite out of his hamburger, "So you can look, but not touch, actually I wouldn't even look if I was you, unless you want a beating by Morro"

"Okay, why the hell are we disguising this? Just because I stared at her for a second longer then normal, doesn't mean that I have a crush on her." I said trying really hard not to blush but failing miserably.

Seliel eyes looked unconvinced for a second before she smirked.

"Kai, your face is as red as your hoodie, your speech is stammered and I think I saw a bit of drool coming out of your month-" she added sarcastically, "Those are three major, and i'm talking major, giveaways for a unrealistic crush."

"Wait, Kai, you have a crush?" Nya asked me curiously, after just cutting off her conversation with Jay as a result of this one being way more interesting.

"No!" I replied a bit too quickly.

"Yes, I do believe Kai here has an unrealistic crush on Mrs. Popular over there-" Zane said really loudly, and gesturing back over to the redhead "also known as Skylor"

Thankfully the students sitting on the tables surrounding us didn't hear, or rather didn't care.

"Awww, Kai that so sweet" Nya said.

I ignored her gushing and glared st Zane."I don't think the people in the far corner heard you Zane, maybe you should scream it louder next time?" I said sarcastically.

"Good idea" jay said before he stood up and started yelling "KAI HAS A MASSIVE CRU- hmmmm hmmhmm hmmhm" That's all he said before I whacked my hand over his mouth and shoved him back down on the bench, my glare fully on him now.

"Jay!! What the hell?! I was being sarcastic!!" I low-key screamed at him.

"Heh, heh um... oops?" He replied awkwardly.

"Trust me Kai, she wouldn't date you even if you were the last person left in Ninjago" Lloyd said with a mouthful of PB and J sandwich.

"Hmmm, we'll see about that" I said under my breath so no-one would hear me as I glanced back to look at Skylor.

To my great relief, that topic of interest was dropped and a more suitable 'how was your summer?' Came into play. Mine and Nya's being the worst since our summer was all about moving here and getting used to this environment. That may seem weird, but we're used to quiet blissful evenings and tranquil mornings, working in our deceased parents blacksmith shop, and boring tedious school lessons during the day in a small limited personal school. The city life is way different, in one word, Noisy.

Listening to everyone else's amazingly fun summers, I realised just how boring mine actually was, Zane and Pixal worked part time at Borg industries, and even though I hate technology, -a curse on this land I believe- I could tell they loved it. Cole went to spend time with his grandparents who live up North where the best Ski resorts are, Seliel and Jay both went to the beach but they went to separate locations, and Lloyd went on a cruise with his mother, father and brother.

As the conversation moved on, I suddenly noticed Nya staring at a glass of water on our table. It's only when she began shaking slightly and breathing heavily did everyone else on the table look at her really worriedly and confused.

"Nya?" I said, gently nudging her under the table, no response, "Nya!" I shouted at her, leaning across the table to shake her shoulders. She started blinking and shook her head, before looking at me.

"W-what what?"

"You completely zoned out and started shaking and breathing really heavily" Seliel said looking really concerned, which surprised me. We'd only known these people for less than a day and they already have taken us in and acted as though we've been friends for ages.

"Oh...Umm, j-just a, eerrrr dream, um daydream" Nya answered through a fake smile.

I looked at her unconvinced "I thought you said you had your daydreams under control and they weren't happening as often any more?" I asked her.

All cards on the table, I haven't been completely honest to Nya. I too have been experiencing the same dreams aswell, only mine involve a completely red room and fire spreading throughout it, burning everything in its path, but when it reaches me it, it doesn't hurt. I haven't told her because I don't want her to worry, but to be honest I have found it pretty strange how we are having the same foundation  of a dream.

"I thought they were," She answered, playing with her hands, "it's just as soon as we came to live here, they s-started happening more frequently, it's almost like something or someone here in Ninjago City is making them happen. Like a magnet almost" Nya said looking kinda frightened.

"What's your dreams about?" Asked Pixal curiously.

I was about to cut in and tell Nya that she didn't have to answer if she didn't want to, but she beat me too it and told the group about her recurring dreams.

There reactions were a lot different then I thought they would be. Instead of comforting her and saying nice words to calm her, they all just stared blankly at her, almost like they'd seen a ghost.

"Wait, I have the exact same dream," Cole said, placing his second piece of cake down, still looking wearily at Nya. "Except instead of water drowning me, massive rocks and clumps of dirt are thrown at me." Cole says, my mouth drops at this.

"Same, but mine involve icicles being dropped on me" Zane says.

"And mine involved energy blasts" Lloyd adds with another mouthful of PB and J sandwich.

"Same but with phantom powers" Seliel says.

"And mine have massive laser like lightning beams that try to kill me." Jay says smiling. I looked at him curiously, trying to find the humour in all this.

"And mine are fire" I say quietly, but unfortunately Nya hears me.

"Wait, what? Kai? Why didn't you tell me?" Nya asked looking really hurt.

Aww shit I think, well I guess you could say it's karma.

"I just didn't want you to worry, it wouldn't be fair on you if you has to go through all the bullying and fighting, and have to deal with my stupid problems" I said to her, giving her a small smile.

"Oh, Kai....". She said, grabbing my hand in hers and giving me a really sympathetic smile. "Your problems aren't stupid" she finished before giving me one last squeeze.

"Well, stupid or not, what are we gonna do about it?" Seliel asked looking at Cole.

"Why would we do anything about it?" Lloyd questions.

"Well don't you think it's a little strange that we all are having the same dream?" Seliel replies glancing at Lloyd. He shrugs in response, whipping away the crumbs on the table surrounding him.

"I don't know, but whatever we do, let's decide after school, fifth bell is about to ring." Cole answered, and if on cue, the bell rang and everyone headed for their lesson.

Me, Nya, Zane and Pixal all headed for Chemistry. I also noticed that the redhead from earlier was also walking in the same direction, until disappearing into a classroom, but not just any classroom, the chemistry room, my chemistry room.

Okay, another chapter done, thank you all soooooooooooooooooooooo much for reading this, it really does mean alot.
