Disclaimer: I don't own Ninjago or "Mean" by Taylor Swift, just the story.

I feel the song fits with the story.

Justin was at his locker when Rosie walked up to him.

"Hey Justin," Rosie said.

"Oh hey Rosie," Justin said as he turned to face her.

"Any issues with Nathan today?"

"Not yet."

"Not yet indeed," Nathan said as he walked up to them.

"Are you kidding me Nathan?!" Justin said as he faced him.

"One of the elemental freaks and a nindroid. Must be my lucky day."

"I thought I told you Rosie as well as Juliet and Mason are off limits!"

"You really like getting beat up by me, don't you?"

"I'd rather let you hurt me than having you hurt anyone else!"

"Have it your way." Nathan punched Justin in the face and Justin hit the floor with a hard smack.

"Justin! Justin, are you ok?!" Rosie said as she crouched down next to Justin.

"See you next time Lightning Dork...oh and you too Robogirl." Nathan walked away.

Justin was still on the ground, holding the side of his face in pain. A few bystanders saw, but did nothing. Everyone just continued on with the rest of their day. Rosie noticed how no one was doing anything. No one even cared! She turned back to Justin. "Justin, are you alright?" she asked concerned.

"I-I'll b-be f-fine," Justin said. Rosie helped him up.

Alex and Max saw Rosie help Justin up and ran over to them.

"What happened?" Alex asked.

"Run in with Nathan," Justin replied, still holding the side of his face.

"Justin, move your hand."

"Why?"

"So we can see how bad it is." Justin nodded and slowly moved his hand away. Alex, Max, and Rosie gasped at how it looked. A big bruise was already forming there.

"I don't think you guys will be able to hide this one from your parents," Rosie said.

"We have to tr-" Justin got cut off.

"Rosie is right Justin," Alex said. "We can't keep lying to them. Telling them school is fine when it's hell for us. We have to come clean to them. We can't keep this up."

"I agree with Alex," Max said. "All the pain that Nathan has put us through has been too much. We have to tell them."

"Justin, are you sure you're alright?" Rosie asked.

"I-I'll be fine," Justin replied, but flinched in pain when he touched the bruise.

"You didn't respond when I asked you if you were ok the first time."

"I think I blacked out for a minute."

"Maybe you should go to the nurse."

"There's a reason we don't," Max said. "The nurse won't do anything to help. This whole school is biased against us."

"That's why we're always taking care of each other," Alex added. "The only people who might like us are some of the teachers who will be sympathethic towards us. Be careful Rosie. Anyone who may seem nice is probably just trying to prank you. You also might want to pass that message onto Juliet and Mason."

"I will," Rosie said. "I have my next class with them."

The bell rang.

"See you later Rosie," Justin said.

"See you guys later," Rosie said as she went the opposite direction from Justin, Alex, and Max.

Monastery

Later

Jay was sparring with Cole and Lloyd was sparring with Kai. They had been sparring for a while. Jay and Lloyd both started to let their guard down and ended up getting knocked down by their sparring partners. Cole and Kai helped Jay and Lloyd up.

"That's enough for today," Cole said.

"We used to be able to last longer," Lloyd said.

"But remember after what happened, the doctors said that you two would probably never fully recover," Kai said.

"Why did that even have to happen in the first place?!" Jay said.

"Don't know, but we all wish it didn't," Cole said.

Cole and Kai took Jay and Lloyd inside and made them sit down. Nya and Britney saw and came rushing over.

"Are you ok?" Nya asked Jay.

"I'm fine," Jay responded.

"How about you?" Britney asked Lloyd.

"I'm good," Lloyd said.

The kids all walked in. They decided that they would walk home from school that day.

Alex immediately noticed her father. "Dad!" Alex yelled as she ran up to give him a hug. "Are you ok? What happened?"

"Alex, don't worry," Jay told his daughter. "I was just sparring with Cole." Jay and Alex were very close, ever since they found Jay and Lloyd after them being missing for five years. They even had a monthly father-daughter day. Alex had actually made a promise to herself when she was 6 that no one would ever hurt her father again and she intended on keeping it.

Nya loved seeing her daughter with Jay, but then she looked up at their son and he looked like he was hiding something. He was only showing one side of his face. "Justin, what's wrong?" Nya asked as she started walking up to him.

"Nothing. Nothing is wrong," Justin said quickly.

Alex looked up at Justin. "Come on Justin," she said. "We agreed we needed to tell them."

Max looked at Justin too. "She's right," he said. "We need to tell them."

"Fine," Justin said and turned to show his mother the big bruise on the side of his face. Everyone who had not seen it yet gasped.

"Who did this to you?" Nya asked.

"Was it a villain?" Jay asked. "Were you attacked on the way home?"

"No," Justin said. "Just a school bully."

"A bully?!" Nya exclaimed.

"We've actually been getting bullied since shortly after we started high school," Alex said.

"We?" Jay said.

"All three of us," Max said.

"Why didn't you guys say anything?" Lloyd asked.

"We didn't want to worry you guys," Justin said. "We managed to hide it every time we've gotten hurt by him."

"Didn't anyone ever see it happen?" Britney asked.

"No one cares," Max said. "The school has been very biased against us. The only people that might be on our side are some of the teachers."

"Why have you guys been letting it happen?!" Jay asked angrily.

"You guys told us no powers or fighting at school, so we just let it hapen," Alex replied.

"How much did he hurt you?!"

"He actually hurt Justin the worst out of any of us."

"He did?!" Nya said angrily.  "Why?!"

"I was just always the one to make him mad first," Justin said.

"So what, you make him mad so he'll hurt you?!"

"No!" Rosie chimed in.  "Justin makes the bully mad by sticking up for the rest of us.  Justin takes the hits, so the rest of us don't have to."  Alex, Max, Juliet, and Mason nodded in agreement.

"Is this true?" Nya asked.  Justin nodded.  "Sweety, protecting others is what we taught you to do.  We just wish you guys had told us about this sooner."

Kai turned to Juliet.  "Did he hurt-" Kai was cut off.

"Don't worry dad," Juliet said.  "Justin stood up for us before he had a chance to hurt us...and because of it, got shoved into the lockers.  He's a great cousin to have."

"You got shoved into the lockers too?" Nya asked.

"That was about a week ago," Justin replied.

"Why don't we go get an ice pack to put on that bruise, ok?"

"Ok mom."  Nya led Justin into the kitchen to get an ice pack.

"I'm calling the school," Lloyd said.  "What's this kid's name?"

"Nathan Lucas," Max replied.

"Got it.  I'll be right back."  Lloyd stepped outside to call the school.

Britney gave her son a hug.  "You know if anything ever happens at school, you can always tell us," Britney said.

"I know mom," Max said.

"Why didn't you tell me Alex?" Jay asked.  "I thought we had a better relationship than that."

"I just didn't want to worry you," Alex said.

"What worries me more is how you guys kept this."

"If it ever happens again, I'll tell you."

"That's my girl."  After all the drama was done, the kids all started doing their homework, hoping that the next day at school would be better for them.

A/N: With how fast I got this chapter out after my last one, I really have nothing else to do.  I got this chapter done really fast.  I feel bad for how I've already been writing Justin in this story.  He's got beaten up twice in three chapters!  Oh well, I hope you enjoyed!

Also, bullying is never ok!  If you are bullied, it's better to tell someone than to let it happen.
