"Hey Justin, what's up?" Max said as he walked over to where Justin was by their lockers.

"Not much," Justin said.

"Life at school has gotten a bit better since our parents found out."

"Yeah, but they're still fighting the school about this...and they haven't done anything about Nathan yet."

"Cheer up dude. It'll get better." Max playfully punched Justin in the arm which made Justin flinch in pain.

"Please, don't do that. Nathan punched it earlier."

"He shoved me to the ground earlier. Man, I hope he gets suspended at least." Max reached into his locker and pulled out an ice pack. "Here." He handed it to Justin. "Rosie made us a little mini freezer that we put in my locker just in case we needed an ice pack at school."

"Rosie is the best. Remind me to thank her later."

"Well, when we get home, we have to tell our parents what Nathan did today. They told us to tell them whenever he does something."

"Right."

Alex started walking up to them, but she was frowning about something.

"Hey Alex," Max said as she started to open her locker. "Everything ok?"

"Everything is fine," she mumbled.

Justin and Max looked worriedly at Alex. "Are you sure?" Justin asked.

"Alex, I've known you long enough to know that when you act like this, everything is not fine," Max said.

"I said I'm fine!" Alex yelled. "Now, will you both please leave me alone!" Alex slammed her locker and stormed off.

"Something is wrong with her," Max said. "After school, we should try to figure it out."

"You try," Justin said. "I have something that I'm going to check out."

"Don't get into too much trouble."

"I'll be like a ninja."

Ninjago City

Later

Justin was running on the rooftops of Ninjago City, following Nathan. "What are you up to?" Justin asked himself. He saw Nathan stop at the police station and go in. "What are you doing in the police station?"

"Who are you watching?" Justin turned around at the sound of Rosie's voice.

"Rosie! What are you doing here?"

"Max said that you might do something stupid, so I decided to make sure you didn't."

"How did you manage to sneek up on me?"

"I may be a samurai, but I live with a bunch of ninja. I picked up a few things. Now, what are you doing?"

"I'm following Nathan. I'm trying to figure out more about him to find out why he hates us so much."

"And he entered the police station. We don't know what's going on in there. What's your plan?"

"I'll go in. You stay here."

"Well then take this." Rosie handed a small device to Justin. "It's a recording device. That way I can hear what you hear."

"Ok. I'll be back." Justin went into the police station and saw Nathan head into the room where people visit prisoners. Justin saw the Police Commissioner and walked up to him. "Hello Commissioner."

"Hello Justin," the Commissioner said. "How are your parents and sister?"

"They're good."

"So, what brings you here?"

"I'm here to investigate something. It's ninja business. I need to go into where people can visit the prisoners."

"Sure thing." He walked Justin over to that area. "Please, allow Justin to enter. He has ninja business to attend to," the Commissioner told the officer in charge of where Justin needed to go.

Justin walked in. He pulled up his hood and kept his head down, so Nathan wouldn't notice him. He walked over close to where Nathan was.

"Hi dad," he heard Nathan say.

'Dad?' Justin thought. He looked up and was shocked to see the man that had taken his dad and Lloyd all those years ago. He continued to listen in, but could only hear Nathan's side of the conversation.

"The ninja will pay for locking you in here," Nathan said. "I will make sure of it. I will take care of all of them, old and new. They will fall to me."

Justin supressed a gasp and walked out. He made his way back to Rosie.

"I heard it all," Rosie said.

"Yeah," Justin said. "I guess we just found our villain. Come on, let's get back to the monastery."

"Ok."

Monastery

Alex was training in the training yard.  Max was watching her and worrying about what made her so upset. She had been training since they had gotten back from school. Max decided it was time to walk up to her.

"Hey Alex," he said softly. "It's about dinner time."

"I'm not hungry," Alex said, not looking at Max.

"What happened?"

"What do you mean?"

"I know you Alex. Something happened."

"I'm fine."

Max walked closer to Alex and grabbed her hand. He looked her straight in the eyes. "You can't fool me," he said.

"Why do you like me?"

That question caught Max off guard. "What?"

"Why do you like me? Why are you my friend? I'm not pretty like other girls."

"But you are. You're the prettiest girl I know."

Alex pulled away. "You don't mean that." Alex turned around and started to walk away.

"I DO!!!" Max yelled which made Alex stop and turn to face him. "I mean every word of it. Alex...I like you...not just as a friend." Max walked up to Alex and looked at her in eyes again. "I've liked you ever since we were kids. I just never had the courage to tell you how I feel. You are pretty and strong and kind and everything to me. I can't imagine my life without you in it."

"That's the way you really feel?"

"It is."

Alex smiled finally. "I like you too."

Max pulled Alex into a passionate kiss. It shocked her at first, but she started to kiss back. After a minute, they pulled away.

"Wow," Alex said.

"I've been waiting a long time to do that," Max said.

Justin and Rosie came running in.

"Alex! Max!" Justin yelled out of breath.

"Justin! What happened?!" Alex asked.

"We were following Nathan. We found out that his father was the person who had taken dad and Master Lloyd all those years ago."

"What?!" Max exclaimed.

"It's true!" Rosie said. "And now Nathan is after all of us."

"And by all of us, we really mean all of us," Justin said. "He said he wants to take care of the ninja, old and new."

"No, he's not!" Alex exclaimed angrily. "I made a promise that no one would ever hurt my father again and I intend to keep it." She marched over to the weapons and grabbed two swords.

"What do you plan on doing?" Max asked.

"I'm going to stop whatever Nathan is planning."

Max thought for a moment. "I'm going with you," he said.

"Count me in!" Justin exclaimed.

"I'll get my mech," Rosie said.

"If we're doing this we have to work together," Max said.

"You guys don't think you're doing it alone, do you?" The four looked up to the sound of Mason's voice. He was joined by Juliet, Zeke, Harper, and Felix.

"If we're going to do this like ninja. We need to look like ninja. Let's take out the gis that our parents gave us. It's time to become the team we were born to be."
