Yeah, this is mostly gonna be a Jaya book... 🤣

But hey! Long time no see!

Let's get active peeps!

Nya's POV

A few months had passed ever since we defeated the Overlord. Seeing Lord- well, Sensei Garmadon back to his human form was strange, but Lloyd has been more than happy to have his father back.

He wanted to start over, and the first thing he wanted to do was give his old school a makeover. With us as the teachers.

First things first, he spoke to the principal to allow female students to enroll in the school. The boys didn't take it that well at first, but they got used to it.

Now, why we have to teach at Darkley's still troubles me. Don't get me wrong, it's not the worst thing in the world, but couldn't we get some actual professionals?

Anyway, we're all teaching a different subject. Kai teaches history, Cole teaches art, Jay teaches math, Zane teaches science and so on... I'm stuck with English and Literature, while Lloyd got to be the P.E. teacher. Well, whenever he had time with all that training his dad and uncle gave him.

And now, the hard part. Because every person in here is a kid, I couldn't go around kissing anyone. Not just because of, well... cooties, but because Sensei told us to be 'professional' as well. So that of course means we had to set some boundaries. And I really, really hate them.

But I'm not good at affection anyway, so I guess I'm saving Jay the trouble. I kinda feel bad for his teddy bear because he hugs tightly. And I mean tightly.

Speaking of Jay, he didn't seem to like them either. He'd break them sometimes, but I always pushed him away. And that is why I've never had a proper boyfriend before. Well, besides Kai not letting anyone near me. I guess I got used to it.

But he'd still leave some notes, flowers or pudding on my desk, I just had to go get them before class started. I haven't gotten any these past few days though, and I'm too shy to admit that I actually enjoy them. So I'll just have to wait, I guess.

I entered the already full classroom. Yep, still nothing on my desk.

I quieted everyone down, and after many attempts, they all fell silent. One of them, Miko, I think her name was, went to say something but I cut her off till she raised her hand.

I nodded and smiled. "What is it?"

"Are you and Jay dating?"

Well then. "It's best if you call him Mr. Walker," I said, trying to avoid the question.

"He told us to call him Jay," she said and everyone nodded. Of course he did.

"And why would you think that?" I said.

"Well..." She looked at another kid, Oscar, across the class.

He nodded and pulled something out of his backpack, something red. He kept a whole bouquet of flowers in his backpack.

Then the kid next to him pulled out a teddy bear, and then the next pulled out an empty bowl of pudding.

"Sorry, I was hungry..." They said.

"Ignore him..." Oscar said. "We kept finding these in your desk the other day. That's his handwriting, right?"

I took the paper from his hands and checked. Yep, that nice and bouncy handwriting was his. It wasn't my crappy one, that's for sure...

"Getting gifts to your coworkers is normal these days."

He sighed, and took the paper back. "If you were a triangle you'd be a-cute one?" He read it out loud.

I felt my face heating up. I haven't wanted for the bell to ring so much since high school...

"Nya? Helloooo?" I heard a voice say, with a knock on the door following shortly afterwards. Surprise, surprise, it's the Blue Ninja himself at the door.

Everyone looked at me. "Excuse us for a second..."

I said and rushed out the room, slamming the door behind me. There he was, waiting for me with a sheepish smile. The door already had a window, and it was best for the kids not to see us talking. I grabbed him by his ear and dragged him to the hallway.

"Ow, hey!" He said. "What did I do?"

I crossed my arms. "They found your gifts. Now they suspect us, that's what you did!"

"How is that my fault?" He said, lowering his head.

"Just give your gifts in person, okay? You know what Sensei told us," I said and sighed.

A short silence followed. Oh, right.

"Why are you here, anyway?" I said, raising an eyebrow.

He blushed and gave me that cute little smile again. "Well, I didn't have a lesson, and the others we're busy... So I thought I should come and say hi," he said. "So... Hi," he waved and started to leave, but I grabbed his wrist and pulled him back.

"Do you want to come in the class?"

His face lit up. "Sure!" He nodded quickly.

We went back to class (not holding hands, of course), and as usual, everybody looked at us.

I cleared by throat. "So... Mr. Walker will be joining us today..." And then the whispers began. I expected Jay to sit, you know, beside me, but he instead found an empty desk in the back of the class and sat beside the kids.

I wanted to be mad at him, but how could I when he looked so funny sitting in a chair that didn't even fit him?

"Okay, we'll take it easy today..." I smiled and started writing on the board.

I'll give them extra credit just for understanding my handwriting, now that I think about it...

"Alright, 'David has a cold'," I read it aloud. "If the verb is 'has', then the subject is..."

I looked around the room. Everyone was silent. "Come on guys, this is easy...!" I tried to smile and encourage them but it still didn't work.

I finally saw a hand rising up and I smiled. I sighed when I saw who it was. "Yes, Jay?"

He pretended to be thinking, rubbing his chin. He tapped his foot on the ground. Even I could tell he was smirking under his hand.

"Oh! I know! Blue!" He said and everyone laughed.

I went to say something, but of course, the bell rang...

"You may go..." I sighed in defeat and they were gone in less than a second. Reminds me of me, really.

Only Jay and I were left in the class, with him still sitting in that desk with a sheepish smile.

I went up to him and smirked, crossing my arms. "Do you know what class clowns get?" I said.

He actually looked scared, even though he still kept the smirk. "What?"

"Detention," I said.

"How can I possibly repay my debt to thou, Miss. Smith?" He said and I rolled my eyes.

I checked for any wandering students. Luckily, there were none. I gave him a kiss on the cheek and smiled.

"Some pudding would be nice," I said.

His face lit up. "Your wish is yours to keep," he did a little bow and left excitedly.

At least I won't be bored during that field trip tomorrow...

So yeah, enjoy peeps!!!

C ya!
