Here's the oneshot I wrote for the Jaya Clan. Would appreciate it if you also checked it out in that account! 😉

Nya's POV

Only a few weeks had passed after the... incident with Nadakhan and, well, my death. It's still hard to get used to, just the images I saw in the Departed Realm make me want to... You know what, nevermind. Everyone is alive and well, Jay and I are back together, none of this pirate magic happened.

Although, at the same time, I kind of wished it did. Wait, no, Nya, don't say that word again. At least saying it in your thoughts won't do anything- or will it? I'm still confused.

Well, setting that aside, things have been better than ever, especially with Jay. We're doing a lot better than before, that's for sure. No more awkward interactions like back at the Monastery, no more... boundaries like back at Darkley's. At least Kai isn't mad but I know he'll somehow turn it against us one day. As for Jay, the others have been giving him a hard time after that, especially Cole. I haven't seen him blush so much since our first kiss. Well, me kissing snake him on the cheek believing we would die by a broken flaming rollercoaster, if that counts.

Well, scratch that. Things have been kind of awkward lately. Not because we did the thing, but because today is technically our first anniversary as a couple. Well, after our breakup. It would have been what, like, our fifth one by now? Either way, we took the day off and decided to go on a date. Although I don't know where the date is. And that brings us to now.

"Are we there yet?" I said as he helped me down from our dragon. Being blindfolded isn't the best, I'm surprised at how I was able to create our dragon. I guess we are compatible.

"Just wait a little bit longer..." He led me somewhere cold and closed. And before I knew it, we stopped.

"Alright, so I need you to trust me right now," He squeezed my hand. His voice trembled a bit.

"What are you talking about-" Before we finished I felt my feet lift off the floor. Where we flying? Did he use Airjitsu? No, we were falling. We were definitely falling.

I grabbed his hand. For once he was silent, but I was screaming my lungs out. It was either silent panic or he has fainted, who knows.

We landed on the ground, but we weren't hurt. Dang. It felt like we had been falling for hours!

We continued to walk for just a tad longer, until we finally stopped.

I looked beside me, but he was behind me. He untied my blindfold, and I saw... Blue.

I looked all around me. There was blue everywhere. But we weren't in a room, we were in a cave. Jay was looking at me with an shy grin.

"I wanted to show you something."

He led me closer to one of the crystal walls.

"Wait for it..." He held my shoulders.

I looked at my reflection. It slowly started to change. My hair became just a tad longer, almost reaching my shoulders, while a few wrinkles appeared under my eyes. My clothes were different too.

Then I looked at Jay's. Now, Jay, he changed a lot. He was slightly taller, although not as tall as Kai or any of the others. His hair was basically the same but he had a goatee. A goatee! His face has a few wrinkles too, except he wore an eye patch along with a completely different outfit.

I swear I've seen these before...

Wait-

"Our future reflections?" I said trying to act not at all surprised.

"Well, you said you'd seen them when we first met, so I wanted to see if we saw the same thing," he smiled sheepishly, rubbing his hands together.

"Oh, we definitely did."

There was an awkward pause after that. I kept looking between him and his reflection. I didn't change all that much, but he looked so different yet so the same..!

"I like the goatee," I giggled.

He smirked back. "I like it too. You know, I was the only one with facial hair. Not so much of a baby face anymore, huh, Kai?" He mumbled the last sentence but I couldn't help but burst out laughing.

I pinched his cheek and smirked. "But you are a babyface. A cute one, in fact."

He only smiled back and kept looking. I stared down this time. Speaking of baby...

"Can I ask something?" I said.

"Sure thing!"

"Since you could see me even if I wasn't there, how come there isn't... A third member to the reflection?" I frowned but I only shrugged whenever he looked at me.

His eyes widened and his smile faded. He thought for a bit, then the smile returned again. "Well, it may still be too early in our lives. But I promise you we'll add more members, one way or another."

Think before you speak, said Sensei Wu every time we said something dumb. And this was one of those situations.

We looked at each other and blushed like crazy, avoiding eye contact right afterward.

"Do you want a girl or a boy..?" I tried to crack a joke.

"Both," he said and we both laughed awkwardly.

I put my hand on the wall. "I guess we should go before our reflections start making out." This time we actually laughed genuinely. Sometimes thinking before you speak is the worse option.

His face lit up again. "Well, I brought some sandwiches and a blanket, so..." He took off his backpack and took out the exact items he listed, plus a couple of juice boxes. I was wondering why he was carrying that backpack.

"Sure," I kissed his cheek and helped him set up our little picnic.

Who knows, maybe fate does exist, after all.
