Sooo I don't know what to write for Kailor. If you have any ideas, feel free to suggest some.

(Although I don't think you mind the Jaya overdose 😉)

So yeah, I had this AU on my mind for quite a while. After four months, I'm finally writing it! Though I had the dilemma of whether to make Nya 'famous' too. But I eventually decided on not doing that.

Anyways, enjoy!

Jay's POV

Great, another day of traveling. Which pretty much means me looking out the window while dad talked on the phone. Sure, we were going to a movie studio and sure, they were sorta making me act in a movie, but still! Who builds their movie studio up a whole mountain?!

Then again, they could be doing that to avoid crazy fans- but dad's studio isn't like that, it's right in the middle of the entire city! I guess I shouldn't be so stubborn though. I'm getting my own movie, I shouldn't act spoiled. Though I would very much prefer my old job of fixing up things around the studio. Or just engineering in general. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to-

"Earth to Jay? Helloooo?" I jumped seeing a hand waving in front of me. Oh right, Cole was here, I completely forgot. What a great friend I am. Well, at least dad let me bring him along as my 'personal assistant', but we both knew I wanted to show him around the studio (and its buffet).

I looked over to him and he immediately grinned. "We're here," he gestured outside his window.

The studio was smaller than I thought, and the path leading to it was barely big enough for our car. But I don't think that's the studio's fault. It would have been better if we rode something like a cool motorcycle here, or even a helicopter!

Anyway, the studio manager as I assumed opened the door for us, welcoming us to the studio. I didn't hear much of it, really. I was distracted by the flashy lights in front of the entrance. I also tried to take a peak into the inside, but I couldn't see much.

"I'm glad you trusted us enough to film the next installment in your franchise, Mr. Gordon," she said. "You can call me Gayle Gossip. You might also recognize me from the news, I'm the head of the network there too. Or at least was."

Darn, was this the small studio I was gonna start in? It didn't seem so small to me. And technically it's not the next installment we're filming, it's kind of a spinoff. I just hope I do good in the end. Sure, acting isn't my favorite thing to do, but I don't want to disappoint dad.

The only time I said no to him was for the 'romantic subplot' they wanted to add. I mean, I want my first kiss to be special, not with some lady twice my age I don't know. How do actors even pretend to be in love? Sure, I can pretend to fight space robots, but that? It's a no-no from me.

The manager walked us into the studio, and I was almost cornered by all the people coming up to us.

"So these are the people that will help you film. I have also scheduled extra acting lessons for you at three, but we need to make sure the props are ready before we start filming," Gayle said to me, not even looking up from her notebook. She fixed up the glasses, smiling at one of the cameramen. "Vinny, if you could please guide mister Gordon to the costume department," she pointed right with her pen, as one of the men nodded his head and started dragging me away.

Dad stared at me proudly as they basically took me by force, while Cole was smiling with a teasing smile. "Could you at least show us the buffet first?" I yelled over to Gayle, but Cole responded instead.

"I'll find it on my own bud, just go get dressed up!" He gave me a thumbs up as I reached out to him for help.

I eventually gave up and followed along. They weren't lying when they said the studio was small. It didn't take us long to get there and they just dumped me into the room and left. Well that's one way to do it.

I stood up and looked around. It felt like I was being suffocated by clothes. Eventually someone came out of the huge pile, almost tripping on a pair of unnecessarily flashy shoes.

"Hey," they said to me and I gave a small wave in response. "I'm Dareth, your costume manager. You'll have to excuse me for a second, I have what you would call a fashion emergency with the robot costume. Just take these and go change. The dressing room is over there." He ran out of the room in a hurry. Gee, and I thought I was a blabbermouth.

I looked to the right, clothes still in hand, seeing two doors. They were both changing rooms, as I assumed, so I chose the left one and opened the door.

I opened it, but it was stopped. I only heard a loud thud and then a groan. "Dareth, for goodness' sake, don't open the door while I'm fixing the ceiling light!" I opened the door completely this time. The changing room was much smaller than I expected.

I saw a girl about my age holding a screwdriver, lying on the floor and clutching her side in pain, along with an upside down foot stool next to her. Had I- oh no.

"Oh my, I-I'm so sorry! I, I didn't know you were on the other side, I, I'm so, so sorry!" I begged for forgiveness, talking just a little too much.

To my surprise, she laughed. "You sure apologize a lot," she said, getting up after a little effort. "You must be Jay Gordon, right?"

"Just call me Jay," I looked away and blushed a little.

"Alright then, Jay. I was done fixing the light anyways. You can go and change." She came out of the room and led me in, closing the door for me.

Well that's not something you see every day. But she seemed pretty nice, and she was pretty too, even though she was dressed in mechanic's overalls. Tan skin, black hair, brown eyes- Okay Jay, stop it now, just change.

I changed as quickly as possible. The clothes were a bit tight, but they looked just fine. I rushed out of the changing room in hopes of finding her. Maybe she could show me around the studio, I mean, she seemed nice enough.

Lucky for me I found her organizing a small toolbox next to the sewing machine. She noticed me immediately when I opened the door and we just stayed there in silence.

"So... Is the costume okay? I think some of the buttons are a bit too loose," I blurted out in panic.

Before I knew it she came closer, looking at me up and down. She fixed the red scarf of the space ranger costume and tied it tighter around my neck, patting my cheek once she was finished.

"Seems good to me," she said as she headed back and continued to organise her tools.

"So you're an engineer?" I asked her trying to start a conversation.

She shrugged her shoulders. "I guess you could say that. I don't have a degree, this is just a part time job."

"How come you don't have one? You seem to know what you're doing," I said, smiling to cheer her up.

Oh.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked-" I tried to apologize as quickly as possible, but I just ended up getting interrupted.

"No, it's fine. Not all of us can afford college," She shook her head. "Besides, there aren't any colleges where I'm from."

"Where are y-"

"Ignacia," she answered in a bland tone. "I work as a blacksmith with my brother."

"Oh, that's cool. I love blacksmiths! They are so cool with their... smithing, and stuff..." I ended with an awkward laugh at the end.

The studio bell rang before she could answer. "Your shooting starts in about twenty minutes. You should go speak to Gayle," she said and immediately left the room.

Great, good job Jay. No wonder you don't have a girlfriend, you keep offending everyone. I didn't even get to properly apologize. I'll need to delay the shooting. But how do I- Cole.

I ran out the room, all the way to the other part of the studio. There was a small room at the end of the Hall and the door was open enough for Cole to be in it. The buffet was there, and I'm not gonna lie, those pies looked really good.

"Cole! I need you to break something!" I grabbed his shoulders and started shaking him.

"What, why?!"

"Please, just-" my eyes landed on the door in front of me. The props room. I think they had some small robots in there. I think she's the one who built them, so I'm not going to break them, just tinker with them.

"Could you remove some bolts or wires from the robot over there?" I asked him and pointed to the four legged robot, which was as tall as me.

"Uh.. Sure?"

"Great! I'll go get some help so do it quick!"

I ran back to Gayle, told her what was going on, and she immediately called someone. And that someone was her. Now I'll have time to apologize.

I couldn't talk to her at first though, Gayle wouldn't let me. But once she arrived and saw the half broken robots and Cole eating cake beside me, she went straight to work and Gayle left us alone.

Cole looked between us suspiciously and I gave her a sheepish smile. To my surprise, she wasn't even mad. She smirked, returning to her work with a chuckle.

Maybe this movie won't be so bad after all.

Sorry this was a bit delayed peeps, but I'm writing three exams this week and I need to get ready!

Hope you enjoyed!

C ya!
