Mona was sleeping until her alarm went off at 7:00 AM.

Mona: ...why is my alarm going off so early?

She checked she phone for the date and was shocked to see it was September 8

Mona: I completely forgot! It's the first day of my sophomore year at Nintendo high!

She got out of bed got dressed and packed everything she needed for school

Mona left home got on her moped arrived at school and went inside

Mona: that was close. I didn't want to be late on my first day back

She noticed bowser in the hallway

Mona: great looks like bowser is back this year...

A lot of students wanted to be friends with bowser for some reason

Bowser: calm down. None of you peasants are going for a ride. It's custom made only fit for a King!

Mario: Geez do you think he's compensating for something?

The students laughed including Mona

Mona: Haha! Good one!

Luigi: Mario! Shh!

Bowser walked up to Mario and Luigi. Mona tried to get in front of the crowd to see what was happening.

Bowser: we've got tough guys over here. Look everyone is the super coward brothers talking behind my back

Luigi: uhh hi mister bowser sir! I heard your like the king of the school and stuff. I'm uhh Luigi and my bro didn't mean to say that about you-

Bowser: shut it! No one talks to bowser like that and gets away with it!

Mario: mamma Mia are you sure you're not in the drama club? Your giving a great performance

Mona took out her notebook and started writing down what they were saying

Luigi: Mario!

Bowser: Mario huh? So this is the jokester. Well funny guy I'm going to make sure your semester is miserable.

Bowser walked away and bumped into Mona on purpose

Bowser: Mona make me the front page of the school paper. I won't ask again

Mona: and I won't tell you again that my answer is no. Unless you have an interesting life it's not happening.

Bowser: your going to regret saying that!

Mona: i don't think so

She walked away and tried to find Mario and Luigi but couldn't

Mona: dang it I wanted to interview them...

Mona went to her locker and put her stuff away but noticed Wario and Waluigi close by

Mona: *gasp* it's wario! Hey Wario! Remember me?! It's Mona from last year! We had a few classes together!

Wario saw Mona and freaked out

Wario: oh no! Not you again!

He ran away and Mona tried to run after him but wasn't fast enough

Mona: Aww he's playing hard to get. That's so cute!

At lunch Mona was going to sit with peach and Daisy but noticed Luigi sitting on the floor eating lunch. She decided to join him

Mona: hey are you ok?

Luigi: not really. I've been alone all day and I have a feeling it's only going to get worse

Mona: it will if you keep thinking that way and it's only the first day.

Luigi: thanks uhh...

Mona: I'm Mona.

Luigi: my name is Luigi

Mona: nice to meet you Luigi.

They both had lunch together

When school was almost over Mona saw Mario and Luigi again

Mona: hey Luigi!

Luigi: hi Mona! Mario just saved me from wario and Waluigi!

Mario: who's your friend Luigi?

Mona: I'm Mona and you must be Mario. I didn't get your permission to publish my story

Mario: permission?

Mona: oh right I forgot to tell you. I'm a photographer and journalist for the school paper. The students should know about the boy who stood up to bowser.

Mario: oh sure go ahead

Mona: thanks! You won't regret it

She walked away took her phone out and started recording herself

Mona: We got two new students named Mario and Luigi and they stood up to bowser! I can tell they have a big adventure coming there way. I also saw wario again!
