Tim McLean was a happy, fun loving, young man who worked as a Carnival Worker in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and always loved spending time with his family and friends. Unfortunately, nobody would've expected that this happy man would go through one of the most horrific events imaginable and a terrifying Story that would completely shock Canada and the rest of the world...

Tim McLean was born on October 3rd 1985 in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada and had a nice life growing up with his family because he was always happy and positive. He started working as a Carnival Worker in his early 20's and he loved his job and was super excited to start a career. Unfortunately, what McLean or anyone else could've expected was everything would be taken away from him in the worst possible way...

On this day, 14 years ago, on the evening of July 30th 2008, McLean boarded Greyhound Bus #1170 in Edmonton, Alberta taking him to Winnipeg. A few minutes later at 6:55 PM in Erickson, Alberta, a 40 year old Chinese Canadian named Vince Li boarded the Bus and sat near the front of the Bus, but moved back to sit next to McLean after the Bus made another stop. Born in Dandong, Liaoning, China on April 30th 1968, Li worked as a computer software engineer who moved to Canada on June 11th 2001 at the age of 33. When Li sat next to McLean, they barely acknowledged each other and McLean put on his headphones and tried to have a nap on the way home.

A few minutes later, out of nowhere, Li suddenly pulled out a 12 inch long knife and began to VIOLENTLY STAB AND MURDER McLean as horrified passengers rushed out of the Bus!

As soon as everyone was outside the Bus, they looked inside as Li DECAPITATED McLean and started EATING HIM!

The Bus driver and two other passengers attempted to get back on the Bus to try and help McLean, but Li chased them away with his knife, refusing to let anyone near him. After decapitating the man, Li held McLean's decapitated head and showed it to the horrified passengers outside the Bus.

The Royal Canadian Police arrived at 8:30 PM to see the Bus driver and two other passengers holding a hammer and crowbar to keep Li from exiting the Bus. When they arrived, Li said to everyone : "I have to stay on the Bus forever!" And continued to eat McLean even more.

A few hours later at 1:30 AM the next morning on July 31st, Li attempted to escape the Bus by jumping out of the back window, but he was subdue by two teaser hits and taken into Police custody and 7 hours later at 10:00 AM, the Bus and it's horrified passengers continued on their route back to Winnipeg.

Parts of McLean's body were put in plastic bags and retrieved from the Bus, but his ears, nose, and tongue were found in Li's pockets, and his eyes and heart were never found, which made authorities realize that Li ate them... Everyone was shocked, terrified, and deeply saddened about McLean's gruesome and unexpected death, especially his grieving family who were easily the most heartbroken people...

Li Was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Murder and went to court on March 3rd 2009, which ended in Li pleading "Not Criminally Responsible". The only thing he said during his time in court was begging for someone to kill him. It was found out that Li undoubtedly was diagnosed with Schizophrenia and he heard a voice from God in his head, saying that McLean was a force of evil and was about to kill him, so Li killed him to save his life. The Judge who was deciding Li's punishment, 67 year old John Scurfield accepted the diagnosis and Li agreed was not responsible for the killing, so he judged him to be "Not criminally responsible by reason of Insanity".

Instead of sending Li to jail, he sent him to The Selkirk Mental Health Center where he was taken care of for the next 2 years. 2 Years later on May 30th 2011, The BBC News reported that Li Was responding very well to his medication and being taken care of in the care center and was deserving of more FREEDOM over the next several months...

Nearly a year later on May 17th 2012, The National Post reported that Li was recovering so well that he was granted Temporary PASSES out of The Selkirk Mental Health Center and visits to the town of Selkirk under the supervision of a Nurse and Peace Officer.

In an interview later that year, Li spoke for the first time to the public discussing his Schizophrenia, saying that he began hearing the voice of God in 2004 and that he wanted to save the world from an Alien attack.

Less than 2 years later on February 27th 2014, The CBC Reported that on March 6th, Li was allowed to have unsupervised visits to the city of Selkirk extending from 30 minutes to full day trips, which was given to him on March 6th that year.

Exactly one year later on February 27th 2015, The CBC News Reported that Li was given unsupervised day passes to visit the city of Winnipeg as long as he carried a functioning cell phone with him. 2 months later on May 8th 2015, The CTV News reported that he would also be granted passes to group homes in the community.

During the 6 year period, everybody was absolutely stunned at how much freedom Vince Li was being given. The next day on May 9th 2015, Tim McLean's family and friends held a rally where they made an emotional statement against the Hospitals and Doctors' decisions to grant Li graduate freedom in the public.

However, during the rally, Li's Doctors said that Li had shown profound improvement over the previous 6 years and was a low risk to the public. They even said that if Li stopped taking his medications, the medications would still stay in his bloodstream for several weeks. They also stated that The Mental Health Center had curfews and around the clock Doctors who made sure that Li always took his medications all the time. Despite the opposing opinions from McLean's family, friends, and many other people, the government did not have any worries about Li living a free life.

9 months later in February of 2016, it was reported that Li had legally changed his name to Will Baker and was seeking to leave his Group Home to live independently on his own. On February 26th 2016, he won the right to live alone since it was recommended by The Criminal Code Review Board and because of how well he was recovering from his Schizophrenia.

Nearly a year later on February 10th 2017, The Manitoba Criminal Code Review Board stated that Will Baker had made a full recovery and was not a threat to any safety of the public and ordered that he should be discharged, which he was. Will Baker was granted complete freedom in Canada and there weren't any legal obligations or restrictions about Baker's independent Living. Baker's Doctor, Jeffrey Waltman and Baker's other Doctors told The Board that he made a full recovery and they were confident that Baker would stay on his medications.

Over the last 14 years, everyone was really sad about Tim McLean's horrifying death, and how Will Baker was given complete freedom after taking his life away. It also begs the question if Will Baker is also a victim because even though he violently murdered and ate an innocent man, he was suffering terribly from Schizophrenia and he couldn't do anything to control himself. It's been 14 years since the terrifying murder of Tim McLean, and he is still heavily loved missed deeply...

To this day, Will Baker is still living completely free in Canada, with absolutely no consequences to the innocent life of Tim McLean he took 14 years ago, and his death remains as one of the scariest and most gruesome deaths of all time...

What do YOU think Will Baker deserves for murdering and eating Tim McLean? And do you see him as a murderer or a victim?

The end...
