Re-yee's family went on vacations at their hometown regularly and that would be a cause of celebration at the Na village every time.

At clan gatherings, the children would naturally be left to socialize with the other kids.

Who knew that the little lioness would be provoked when Garrick made a nasty remark about her clothes?

He forgot what he said exactly but little Re-yee snarled and held him in a headlock.

When his father who was rarely sober those days, learned that he offended the young miss, he almost wanted to strangle the young Garrick to death.

But what was peculiar was the little lioness looked like she wanted to beat up Garrick's father even more.

She hoisted Garrick from the ground and had someone treat his thin black and blue body that certainly wasn't the result of Re-yee's single headlock.

He and his siblings never went home ever since.

The young him treated this lightly and was only glad that his parents were now out of his sight.

Only later did he know that both of them were jailed due to child abuse.

He and his siblings grew up inside the Na estate, fed and clothed by Re-yee's family but of course, they paid back with years of service.

Now, his siblings were all educated and had lives of their own.

He was the youngest and ever since they were kids, he had the makings of a little overlord.

He was the only one that stuck to Re-yee like glue and pestered her to no end. In the end, he was even closer to the young miss than his own brothers and sisters but this was because he liked annoying Re-yee to death.

The master Jaehwoon let him do as he pleased as he saw that Garrick was the same age as his daughter who never liked playing with the other kids.

Jaehwoon saw that in her own mean way, she also showed fondness for Garrick.

Garrick inevitably witnessed Re-yee and Ri-yan's wonderful mutual hatred for each other, over the years.

The Kyo and Na families were well-acquainted and often visited each others' houses.

But Ri-yan and Re-yee seemed to be annoyed at each other since birth and without rhyme or reason at all.

Garrick would even often be their referee when their words got more and more intense and a fight would eventually break out.

However, he knew that they didn't really hate each other deep to the bones.

His cousin-boss couldn't distinguish human emotions for the life of her. There was no difference to her if you hated her or adored her.

And young master Michael had a talent for denying his true feelings and always ended up saying regretful words.

These two idiots were Garrick's OTP.

"Hohoho~ so the little girlie is just a little sister after all." He slyly commented upon hearing Ri-yan's first announcement.

He was akin to a housewife eager for gossip.

Lisa and Rami were only watching quietly next to him.

"You two don't have any job to do?" An ice-cold question came from behind.

Lisa stiffened but Garrick only shrugged.

"We're quite free today ah~"

The two felt a frigid stare but Garrick looked unaffected.

The live conference continued and Ri-yan already announced his retirement from the entertainment industry while showing off their real identities.

Everyone in the room wasn't surprised by this. It was inevitable that these three had to leave show business to help their respective family businesses.

In the first place, the three families only relented to their whims because they had no choice when the three went ahead and did everything behind their backs. They just woke up one day to find their sons debuting as a boy group.

"Looks like your problem on the convention is solved, Leigh." Lisa uttered and looked back at her.

Re-yee only emotionlessly nodded.

[Lastly and most important of it all... I have my very own Muse. The sole reason why I ever only rapped all these years is because my singing voice is solely for her... Leigh...]

When she heard her name, Re-yee finally looked up at the TV.

Her eyes met his, even though it was only virtual.

[...don't be mad at me anymore.]

Re-yee zoned out for a moment.

Her gaze deepened, looking like seeing but not really, hearing but not listening at all.

Lisa's eyes widened. Garrick smirked.

"Is this the legendary public confession?"

He looked at his cousin-boss and was surprised to find her nodding.

"That's good. But he should've acted more infatuated, Granny will be happy."

The two cousins stared at her in utter amazement.

Re-yee could be considered a genius with an IQ of 150 but her EQ was probably -100.

"Hopeless, hopeless! Good thing, that person's not here or his heart will be crushed!" Garrick muttered under his breath.

Lisa could only shake her head in disbelief.

When they turned their heads back at the TV, they didn't see Re-yee staring at the ring on her left index finger.

She started reading some files again but it looked like she couldn't concentrate as her eyes kept darting back at the ring.

In the end, she stopped what she was doing and took it off from her pointing finger and wore it on her fourth.

Then she reached out for her phone, calmly typed two words, clicked send and got back to her work.

She did it all without a change of expression because she never knew just how much her actions affected a certain person.

But just as she was putting her phone down, it rang and that person was the one calling.

She only stared at it until it stopped ringing.

Garrick, Lisa, and Rami were all gawking at her weird behavior.

When she couldn't stand their stares anymore, she got up with her phone in hand and entered the private room inside her office.
