      Alya's  POV:

I  attended Grief Share and just finished up today. It was months ago I lost someone close to me.  I missed her so much. She was like a sister to me, I had three biological sisters, but somehow they never bonded quite in the same way.

I was grateful that Nino attended the sessions with me as it was hard on him too.  I could tell even if he did not speak much about her. It was okay since everyone grieves in their own way.

I   apologized to Chat for being so mean to him. I could tell he accepted the apology. I knew because today he hugged me.  I felt tears fall on my shirt. I did not mind.

"It is okay, Chat, I understand."

I did what I could to listen and be there for Chat.  I  never did date Nino again.  At least we were friends again.  I can not say we did not bicker like old times. Sometimes, we did.

I  made sure to give Chat a sympathy card. I  had already given Nino one a few weeks ago.  I made sure Tom and Sabine knew that I held no hard feelings against them. I assured them it was their fault what happened.

I glanced up as Chat let go and saw an akuma. I was furious. How dare Hawkmoth try to take advantage of the hero of Paris while he was in the early stages of grief like this.  The nerve of that villain.  I  refused to let Chat get hurt.

I  yelled at the akuma, "Leave him alone!"

It worked. I knew it did. I was sure in that moment Marinette would have never been prouder since I let the akuma take over me so that Chat would not be harmed.

Besides, this akuma did not know what it was messing with when it got ahold of me, Alya Cesaire!

I laughed.  I had no intentions to remove the ladybug earrings from where they were kept.  Nor, did I plan to take the ring as Chat was my friend.  Oh, no Hawkmoth was about to go down!

I  ran as fast as I could towards Hawkmoth. I did not stop even after I heard Carapace call out below.  I was not about to let that creep kill anyone else who meant something to me. I charged fully at Hawkmoth once I saw him.

I   grabbed the stick he held and stomped hard on it. I watched as it broke in two.  I saw the shocked look in his eyes as I grabbed the brooch.  I saw it was Gabriel Agreste behind the purple mask of doom.  I  felt more shattered than I had in weeks.

I  slapped him twice. Then, I called the police.

      I left before they arrived.

I was sure it was time that the man who harassed Paris was put behind bars for good.

I  took my miraculous back to Chat along with the moth miraculous.

"I promise he will never harm anyone again, Chat."
