/Too much talk\

Sakamo wasted no time and lunged onto Chat, twisting his arms to a point where his claws were nearly useless. Chat's muscles seethed as they pushed back, releasing his arms from Sakamo's deadly vice-like grip. The two tumbled through the empty hallways, slashing at one another and creating newfound openings that quickly filled with alarmingly dark red blood. But neither of them dared to let their guard down for even a moment. They had been in enough fights throughout their career to know that for sure.

They had taken their fight all the way to the old storage closet, both covered in fresh wounds. But unbeknownst to Chat, Sakamo was no longer the sloppy trainee he once knew. He was more skilled than he could have ever imagined.

Chat dove for Sakamo's leg, hoping to knock him over. Sakamo grinned at his slip up and kicked backwards along Chat's forearm, leaving a huge gaping scar of blood across it. On the backside sole of Sakamo's black boots were spur-like blades. Chat collapsed onto the ground, clutching his arm in painful agony and groaning. Sakamo put his left foot on Chat's chest, amused.

"You're planning on breaking out the girl...." Sakamo narrowed his eyes and glanced at the blueprints once more, lowering his gaze and shrugging. "A shame. I always heard rumors about your love life.. but never would I ever had thought that they were actually true. Say, what would she think of you if she knew you were actually a mass murderer?" He laughed. She did. Chat coughed up blood, knowing that he was right. He was stupid to think that Marinette could ever love him.. an idiot's fantasy. She had blinded him over countless times, and now, in this moment, it was about to cost him his life.

Sakamo continued laughing as if the whole situation was a big joke. He spoke in a hysterical tone of voice. "Chat Noir.. the assassin of all assassins. Many had tried to end his legacy but failed one by one. Feared by all the people of Paris. Death count; probably hundreds. Some groups as large as armies. And yet.. here he is, giving it all up for Marinette Dupain-Cheng, a stupid girl."

A fierceness erupted in Chat's eyes as he spoke her name. "No need to worry.. Marinette will not suffer a painful death as you shall." He raised his dagger, and as he slammed down into Chat's upper leg, the bandit screamed in pain as blood seeped from the wound. A tear rolled down his cheek again. His vision was blurring, and he could see his own fresh blood trickling from the dagger of his opponent. No. This wasn't over.

The bandit knelt down on top of Chat, allowing him to more easily strike him this way. Then Sakamo punched him across the face. One. Two. Three- Four times in fact, and at this point Chat was on the verge of losing consciousness and couldn't even feel the pain anymore. But Chat still smiled through it.

Sakamo laughed throughout his blurred vision and his ears that endlessly rang, throwing more and more punches as if Chat was his own rag doll. He kept a steady breathing rate, too weak now to fight back.

Chat could barely move his bloody mouth to form a grin if his own. "You know, trainee, you may be good, but you sure as hell aren't smart. You should've killed me when you had the chance."

A gunshot echoed through the room, and Sakamo's once smug expression went blank as he fell forwards onto Chat, now sporting a large gaping hole through his chest. Chat caught him and sat up onto his knees, pushing the initiate's body to the side. He exhaled heavily, dropping the gun at his feet and squeezing his eyes shut. It was true. This was his life. He was, indeed, a natural murderer.

He looked at Sakamo's face. The deadness in his eyes did not even allow him any pity. He used to trust him with nearly everything, like he was his little brother. He shouldn't have.

"Cocky bastard," he muttered.

Chat sat up reluctantly. Pain seeped through his body, his leg going numb. He couldn't feel his forearm anymore. He clutched his thigh, attempting to stand up but all being left in vain. He collapsed.

Groaning, he tore of a piece of shirt with his teeth and tied it around his upper leg as a makeshift tourniquet. Muffling out his scream with his hand, his eyes bulged out of his sockets as he pulled it tighter and tighter and more red stained his hands. He gently touched his bleeding forearm, and his arm did not respond in any sort of way. He still patched it up as best he could. That was his favorite arm, after all.

Once he was finished, he stood up whilst using the wall as a support and limped toward his barracks. He had left Sakamo's body behind him to be eaten by the rats.

"They always do too much talking and not enough killing," Chat muttered, collapsing onto his bed. He could not be treated for his leg or suspicions would arise, so he would have to discreetly take care of it over time. The pain seemed to subside as more important thoughts took him over.

What was the point? Marinette would never grow to like him, much less love him. He was a killer. Even if he saved her, it wouldn't be enough. Sure.. he loved her. But either way, how was he to save her when he was now barely able to walk? The odds were already way over impossible.

If only she knew why he did it. The real reason he had adopted this ruthless lifestyle. Maybe then, she'd see that he's worth a chance at companionship.

She was pushing a wheelbarrow across an open field. The sun was cascading over the horizon, leaving blue streaks of clouds in its place. And though it was setting the sun beamed brightly nevertheless, causing her to squint with difficulty seeing ahead of her.

All around her cascaded on the ground.. were bodies. Hundreds of them- a massacre. Organs spilt out of holes. Some had many more than one wound, flies buzzing around excitedly. All of them had blank faces that all looked as cold and dead as the one beside them.

And yet she still barely noticed them. She passed them without a second glance, occasionally stepping on a hand or two in her way as if they meant nothing.

In her wheelbarrow was a body covered in a thin white sheet. Blood seeped through it when the sheet was pressed closer toward it when she hit a bump in the road. Approaching a cemetery, the atmosphere seemed to become more eerie as she approached. She wasn't quite sure why she was burying this body in particular.

When she arrived at a dug-out grave she set the body down on the ground, despite the searing pain in her shoulders. She thought for a second that it was almost as if the body was resisting. Marinette dusted the dirt off of where she found fitting to place it. She began to unwrap it at the feet, trailing upwards enough to examine the wounds. Their leg was twisted in an unnatural, painful angle. Their entire collarbone had been crushed inward. A bullethole allowed blood to seep through it, straight through the heart. Out of curiosity she lifted the sheet completely to get a better look at the face. She was looking at her own.

Marinette awoke with a start, her hand flying toward her chest and in turn grabbing nothing but skin. Hyperventilating, she snapped back into reality, suddenly remembering that this nightmare was much worse.

"What are you wearing, Adrien?" Nathalie asked. Adrien had concealed his wounds very well, throwing on baggy sweatpants and a long sleeve jacket. It definitely wasn't cold outside however- making his outfit rather suspicious. It seemed his father hadn't even noticed that he had left in the first place.

"I don't feel well," he groaned, trying his best to put on a grim face, which was easy in his case. "Whenever I go outside it feels like I'm freezing. Even worse in here.." That may have been partially true. His body did, at points, feel overwhelmed with high or low temperatures. It was probably trying to fight off whatever illnesses where trying to take over him in a weakened state.

Nathalie raised an eyebrow and fixed her glasses. "Well, do know you'll have to take all that off for a photoshoot tomorrow. I'll send you to the nurse immediately."

Adrien gulped.
