Sapphires POV:

So me and Troy have almost finished the duet and I guess it works because the song we're dancing to is called "inside out". Now I know we're not together anymore but the song relates to us both. The story of our dance is about how a guy was there for his girl when she needed him and he supported her. And I guess that's what our relationship was like at the beginning, I had just lost Hayley and he was there for me.

As we near the dance, it doesn't feel right. I know deep down I probably still have feeling for Troy and when we used to dance togther, the only things on my mind was the dance and him.

Yet this time, all I can think about is Chris.

*Clap clap clap*

Mrs Maple comes out from her office, clearly pleased with out duet. "I'm glad everything worked out between you two."

"Me too." Troy says whilst smiling.

"Yeah..." I kinda smile along.

"Sapph that was great!" Jay hugs me from behind. Wow. I almost forgot he was here.

"Yeah thanks it was a team effort, thats why its called a duet." Troy sarcastically remarks whilst Jay glares at him and I look disapprovingly.

"Okay I'm going to head back to the hotel. Same time tomorrow?"

"Sure." I say and he leaves.

"So... you busy later?" Jay asks me.

"No, why?"

"Well Chris has invited everyone over, something about a movie he audtioned for. Oh and Scott said to dress party like in case he gets it but not too much just in case he doesn't get it."

I chuckle, "only Scott eh."

"Only Scott." He replies as we head to the car.

Later that evening

I'm just about ready before Jay calls me so we can go. (▼ignore the face please. She doesnt look like that▼)

I'm wearing a floral off the shoulder dress and white heels as it's quite warm outside. I leave my face natural and tie my hair up.

As we head over to Chris' house we there's some sort of cheering.

"Ugh we live next door and we're late because of you two ladies." Jay exclaims whilst pointing at me and Lucy.

We look at each other up and down before Lucy says "babe, you cant get as good looking as us in two minutes you know." And she walks into the house.

"Amen to that." I say and follow suit.

As we get inside Chris asks everyone to quiten down before saying,

"Now for the real announcement." And everyone chuckles.

"As you all know I've called over my family and friends to talk about the movie I auditioned for."

"I auditioned for Captain America, only with the persuasion of RDJ so thank you to him."

"And did you get it or what!?" Someone teases.

Chris looks glum before saying, "Yes! I got the part!!! And to celebrate properly we're going to have a beach party tomorrow."

And the whole room goes lit.

I smile at Chris and wave as everyone hugs him.

He just looks at me blank.

Okay then.

By the time I get round to hugging and congratulating him, I feel a slight tension but ignore it.

"Congratulations!" I cheer as I hug him. He's all stiff and just replies with "thanks" monotonously.

Okay something is up.

He walks away and a girl latches on to his arm, a red head and gives him a kiss on the cheek as he smiles at her. He looks at me for a moment blank once again, before kissing her again. This time quickly on the lips.

Oh. Well I'm happy for him.... I think.

I go outside for some air and I'm greeted by the one and only Scott.

"Hey."

"Hey." He chirps. "What's up?"

"Nothing. You?"

"I'm good. And are you sure it's nothing?"

Well Scott is Chris' brother so maybe he knows why I'm getting the cold shoulder.

"It's Chris." I start but I'm interrupted.

"Oooh so you do like him."

"That's not what I meant. I mean he's been giving me the cold shoulder all night."

"Hmm." He hums.

"You know don't you."

"Okay I'll tell you, but only because I don't like that red head." He says and I chuckle.

"Chris likes you, a lot. And I'm pretty sure you like him too right." I nod not trying to hide it from Scott.
"That red head is all for show. I think he's trying to make you jealous."

"Why? I'm pretty sure I'm single."

"Not according to him you're not. He saw you with that Troy in the coffee shop."

I snicker "and he thinks we're back together? In Troys dreams maybe." I laugh.

So Chris wants to play that game huh. Its shame I can play it just as well.

"Wait I know that kind of look. What are you thinking?" Scott asks with a mischievous smile.

I turn to him before saying,

"Its a beach party tomorrow right?"

"Yeah..."

"Lets just say he's going to wish he'd never started this game."
