Chris' POV:

I'm not sure if what I'm doing is right but I can't change my mind now. It's too late.

"Hey babe." Sarah says whilst sitting on my knee.

"Hey." I say absent mindedly whilst looking around.

"You look bored. Why don't you go play volleyball with the guys? The party is going great."

"Sure, looks fun." I half lie as I get up still looking around.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking for her.

I don't think she's going to turn up. Not after yesterday. Jay and Lucy are already here. Maybe I should have talked to her.

Some time later

We're about halfway through the game when I spot someone walking down the beach. I totally just missed the ball and fall flat onto my face in the sand.

"Way to go Chris." Somebody yells.

"Sorry." I say whilst getting up not looking away from the figure approaching the game.

Damn.

She looks good. No, she looks amazing.

As I look around I notice a lot of the other guys staring at her too. But she does nothing. Normally she'd get shy... I think. Now she's smiling as she walks towards the game.

Somebody wolf whistles and she stops. I thought she was about to frown at the guy or something but she doesn't. She just turns to him and winks before heading back towards us.

She sits near and takes her shoes off and walks onto the pitch. Standing right opposite me on the other side of the net.

"So whose up for a game of volleyball? Boys vs Girls." She announces and gets cheers.

"After all, we all know girls can play the game just as well as guys can." She says looking me dead in the eye.

She's onto me. She knows exactly what I'm doing and what I did last night by kissing Sarah in front of her. She knows. And now she's playing the game too.
