Being back to one's own country after two long years is like breath of fresh air, Shad is overwhelmed with mixed emotions. One half of him missed the US and the other half is over joyed to be back home.

Shad massaged his nape standing next to the luggage conveyer belt waiting for his luggage to arrive. The 16-hour long plane journey was tiresome. Shad had spent half his time listening to music on his I-Phone, half time watching a boring movie, half time chatting with a middle-aged man seated next to him -he found out his co-passenger Akram is heading back to India to attend his daughter's wedding. Rest of the time he spent sleeping.

Shad yawned and stretched, 'Why the hell is the luggage taking so much time' he wondered watching the conveyer belt that is on stand still. He fishes out his phone and glanced at the time, 9 am. The flight was on time but this luggage thing is causing the delay.

'Oh, Shit!' Shad gasped realizing Eifad must be waiting outside, she is a punctual person and he will have to hear an earful for being late and more importantly to make her wait.

'Hurry up, bags. Eifad will kill me' Shad begged the still conveyer belt to move and start throwing up passenger's bags.

15minutes later, Shad is done with everything and emerged out from the airport. He looks around, his eyes searching for Eifad.

'Sir' Shad turns around when someone called him tapping his shoulder. He looks at the man, he is wearing a driver's suit and held a small banner "SHAD SIDDIQUE". Shad frowned slightly disappointed that Eifad didn't come to pick him up. Perhaps she did but since he is late, she left. With Eifad always expect the unexpected, no one knows what she will do. No one can tell how she will react? Shad nods his head. The driver takes his luggage and leads him towards the parking lot where he has parked the car.

'Sir, you sit in I will keep the luggage' Driver informed Shad, who nods his head. Shad is surprised when he opened the door and find Eifad sitting in the back seat. She turns her head and removes her round-shaped sun glasses.

'Eifad, meri jaan!' Shad exclaimed happily getting into the car. Eifad smiled placing her sun glasses on top of her head.

'Hey!' she replied.

Shad leans forward engulfing his best friend in a tight hug. Eifad closed her eyes inhaling his scent. She felt a strong electric jolt run down her spine, she missed this so much. She smiles dreamily wrapping her arms around him.

'I thought you didn't come' Shad said shifting back to his seat.

'How could I not come to pick up my only friend' Eifad replied

'Gosh! I missed you so much' Shad said hugging her once again. Eifad eyes fill with tears, tears of joy, tears of contentment of having her Shad back to her.

'I missed you too' she murmured.

'Tansen, take us to the deer park' Eifad ordered her driver. He nods his head and starts the ignition. Shad wanted to go home and have some shut eye

'Eifad, I was...I wanted to...go home...' He begins but stops mid-way on seeing Eifad glare at him.

'Deer park will be good...' he changed his mind immediately. Eifad wears her sun-glasses and leans back ordering the driver to play the paused song on the radio.

Shad shifts uncomfortably in his seat, this song is Eifad's favorite but it gives him the creeps.

The Delhi weather in October morning is pleasant. Tansen, gets down and quickly hurried to get Eifad's door. Shad steps out and looks around, he missed Delhi so much.

'Like the place?' Eifad asked standing next to him. He nods his head. Eifad and Shad had been here many times, though mostly it's a couple's park Shad enjoys coming here with his best friend. Eifad on the other hand feels like a couple being here with Shad, looking at all the couple she feels envious but then having Shad beside her makes feel better. That all that matters to her.

'Come' she said extending her hand holding Shad's hand. He smiles and tightened his grip. Tansen waits from them as they go in the park.

After a while, 'Ma and Pa must be waiting for me' Shad said, as they sit by a lake. Eifad smirks staring at the lake. Few seconds later, she tilts her head and looks at Shad.

'They are in for a surprise' she said calmly. Shad frowned, she hasn't informed his parents.

'Why didn't you inform them?'

'Surprise' she replied turning her head looking at the lake once again. Shad didn't like this, but then maybe Eifad really wanted this to be a surprised. It will be fun to see their shocked expression turn into a happy one, Shad smiles, it's not a bad idea after all.

Eifad shifts closer and Shad placed his arm around her shoulder. She tilts her head resting it on his shoulder. She closes her eyes feeling bliss being in Shad's arms.
