Background: Mai is the younger sister of Koushi Sugawara. The two were always pretty close with each other and had a good relationship growing up. She is basically the princess in the family, always having her dad wrapped around her finger. This sometimes bothered her brother but then again, she also had him wrapped around her finger as well. She just had her way with everything. She always loved to dance and asked to take lessons when she was younger. She does that every time that she can but also loves to watch her brother play volleyball, always finding the game fascinating to watch. She sometimes would practice with him when she wasn't dancing or doing school work. She always makes sure to be there to support her big brother during any game he has while the other is always there for one of her dance recitals. They always have each other's backs through thick and thin.
